Links to draft articles
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Law & Order (franchise). Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 21:55, 7 June 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into 2 Bloor East. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. UtherSRG (talk) 10:50, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- WRT whether Hudson's Bay Centre should be moved to 2 Bloor East: Our primary naming policy is WP:COMMONNAME. As such, with no other compelling reason, the most common name should be used as the article's title. HBC gets about 6x the number of results on a Google search, so this would not be a valid move. - UtherSRG (talk) 10:55, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- Also, I see from your contributions that you do indeed know how to use the 'move' function. When you are prevented from using that function for some reason the correct next step is to file a request at WP:RM/TR to have someone else perform the move. Cut-and-paste is never the correct answer. - UtherSRG (talk) 12:16, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and ProMaster
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and ProMaster requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]Please read Wikipedia:Naming conventions (companies). In part is says "The legal status suffix of a company (such as Inc., plc, LLC, and those in other languages such as GmbH, AG, and S.A.) is not normally included in the article title". If you think that the title is incorrect and that "incorporated" is required then follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves#Requesting controversial and potentially controversial moves (Wikipedia:Requested moves/Controversial). By the way if the disambiguation was required it would not be inc but it would be inc. Note the period. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 04:54, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
Please stop now!
[edit]Doing all of these page moves is ridiculous. You've about to get a block because you lack the competence to edit here. You should never move articles around multiple times, it looks like you have no idea what you are doing. Liz Read! Talk! 06:39, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- I agree with Liz here. You need to stop making any sort of moves until you understand what you are doing. I though your name was familiar. Did you read the section above? CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 07:16, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
Edmonton City Centre
[edit]If you think the proper name for that is Edmonton City Centre Mall then see Wikipedia:Requested moves#Requesting controversial and potentially controversial moves and follow the instructions. CambridgeBayWeather (solidly non-human), Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 16:54, 12 July 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Edmonton City Centre, you may be blocked from editing. Stop doing this. You have already been told not to make this undiscussed move. Meters (talk) 21:12, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
- In fact, you were already told by user:Liz to stop making page moves at all, let alone restoring an already contested move. Meters (talk) 21:14, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
- You have made this move three times now. Please read WP:EW. Meters (talk) 21:22, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at DavidsTea. Per their store finder, they have 19 locations, not 20 Meters (talk) 20:43, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
- And please stop adding promotional logos. We do not need two links to the same page, one piped to their logo, and we don't need to include their logo as part of the store name in Real Canadian Liquorstore Meters (talk) 20:49, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
- And similarly on Loblaw Companies, Your Independent Liquorstore is a redirect to Real Canadian Liquorstore. Do not list both of them as subsidiaries. Meters (talk) 21:07, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
Please use descriptive edit summaries to say what you’ve added to, or deleted from, an article (and I mean "descriptive"—stuff like "added content" is meaningless). I just had to revert an entire string of edits you made to 2026 FIFA World Cup because it’s well-known Edmonton isn’t a host city, you gave no source for claiming it is, and your lack of edit summaries made it too much of a hassle to try to examine each one individually. 1995hoo (talk) 13:10, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
