Team effort
In the spirit of reducing the amount of Wikipolicies and obviating confusion (see WP:LAP), drafts are in progress for a unified deletion policy here, and a unified protection policy here. These should really be team efforts, so since you commented on the matter earlier I would like to ask your help. The intent is not to change policy, merely to clarify and remove reduncancy; thus, anything that inadvertently changes the meaning should be fixed. We should be ready to move the drafts over the existing policies soon, but this needs more feedback and consensus, otherwise it'll just get reverted by people who "like the old thing better". Thank you for your time. >Radiant< 13:24, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Shinking font size on RFCtemplate

Flag documentation
Hi Gracenotes, I noticed you added a link to the prefix index for the set of Country_data templates to Template:Flag/doc. FYI, I'm currently working on a comprehensive "directory" page that I hope will greatly assist new editors in finding the right template calls. If you're interested in the work-in-progress, I can post a snippet for you, or if you have any specific ideas, please let me know. Thanks, Andrwsc 04:36, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
You are cool.

Thanks For The Reverts.
Thank you for reverting those two vandalism cases to my user page. Due to all the vandalism I've been getting lately, my user page has been placed under semi-protection. Acalamari 03:12, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Why are you removing other people's comments re: Essjay
I thought that anybody could contribute to a wiki. Why are you removing all the comments that you disagree with? Is that what a wiki means? Bart Carny 05:50, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Essjay
I put back the quote about Essjay describing his motto as "Light and Truth" as it seemed so notable in view of the amount of controversy that this affair has caused. The whole of Essjay's archived user page at [1] is worth a look as it shows that he was something of a Walter Mitty character like Alan Mcilwraith.--Ianmacm 07:54, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Super backlog of doom
Haha... I knew you were joking. No need to clarify that. I was trying to think of a clever reply for your talk page, but I was fresh out of cleverness. Ergo my desire to kill destroy all humor and and cleverness on Wikipedia... DIE HUMOR!!! DIE!! ;-) IronGargoyle 03:09, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Re: Ads to benefit Wikipedia
Terribly sorry about that. I created the ads in question; Real96 decided to try to push for my work used in a way that I never intended – I would be firmly against having them outside of userspace – Qxz 11:48, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- This note is in response to the Community Noticeboard post, which I wish he had never made; I may well have to end this project now because of it. At no point did I ever suggest putting these ads at the top of every page, or using them anywhere other than userspace.
- The ad template intentionally comes without a border and background so that users can add their own, I've mentioned this on the description page. I'm trying to force display of the links underneath so that I and AzaToth are credited and so that there are links to the image description pages and User:Qxz/Ads visible – partly for copyright reasons (not all the images are public domain) and partly to try to avoid the sort of thing that has just happened – people passing this work off as their own and making patently inappropriate suggestions as to its use. Thanks – Qxz 12:09, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

You're welcome. Yup, that one... I probably won't be responding to that troll any more (especially considering the IP is at the Florida State University library). Antandrus (talk) 16:03, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Multi-listed those you mentioned. I usually do, must've not thought about it that time, thanks ^demon[omg plz] 22:04, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Would you mind helping?
I am trying to start a wiki that is focused on wrestling and video games. I figured that since it uses the same design as Wikipedia (MediaWiki, or whatever it's called), that I could basically copy wrestling and video game templates like {{Template:Infobox Wrestling event}} and {{Template:Infobox VG}}, but they aren't working. Here is what I ended up with [2]. Would you mind creating a few templates there? Specifically: Template:Infobox VG, Template:Infobox Wrestler, Template:Infobox Wrestling event and Template:Infobox Wrestling team since those are the only four I would really use (Template:Infobox company would be nice for articles on WWE and TNA, but not as much as the other 4). Thank you in advance. TJ Spyke 08:15, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. It's just a small personal wiki that probably won't get that many people, so it wouldn't be worth spending money on. If it becomes big though, I may consider it. TJ Spyke 23:09, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, is there any way to get versions of the templates I asked about? TJ Spyke 01:45, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I managed to creat one: [3]. Do you know how I can make it so only certain fields have to be used? Like for the wrestler one, how would I make it so a death date only shows up if you enter something for it? TJ Spyke 04:43, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, is there any way to get versions of the templates I asked about? TJ Spyke 01:45, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
New template
Here is the template created by a fellow wikipedian a few days ago {{Infobox Judge}}. It is used on federal judges such as Alex Kozinski, J. Michael Luttig, Edith Jones and Supreme Court justices, for example Clarence Thomas, Hugo Black, etc. Please go check and maybe do a little revision if needed. Thank you! Template:Nothing
Actually, I don't see a purpose for this (or void). I think there would be another way to program to avoid the need for this. Perhaps you could explain to me sometime. And yes, I did see it per your post at VP. No biggie though and no hurry to explain to me how it works. --MECU≈talk 14:00, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
How odd
All that work on templates, and you don't seem to have one of these yet...
Well, now you do. Keep up the good work, and fix my user subpages if I screw them up again, kthxbye – Qxz 00:16, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
User:Kazoo
Thank you for fixing this very, very important userbox! We players are a proud lot, and a subpar userbox was significantly hampering our ability to be recognized as the performance artists we truly are. Jouster (whisper)
poorly scaled school images
Looks like you attacked some of them; I think I got the rest. It'd sure be nice if there was smarter support available from MediaWiki - I hate having all those values embedded in the articles. I'd rather be able to say things like "scale this image down if it is larger than xxx". Right now dumb stuff will happen if we change the default size by very much - either oversized images or images with unnecessary artifacts. (Of course, the best answer would be if people supplied high-resolution images so that we could cleanly scale them down as needed.) Jordan Brown 01:31, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Defective userbox grouping template
