Disputed fair use rationale for Image:CNBC Asia - Australia This Week logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:CNBC Asia - Australia This Week logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:58, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Umicore.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Umicore.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:26, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Invesco

I see you've edited the Invesco article a good deal. Could you look at this diff [1]. Its from an IP whose been pushing a POV over at Diane Garnick, who happens to work for Invesco. I know nothing of the company, so I don't know if its pushing here as well. Mbisanz (talk) 20:00, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up - some of the text added in that revision looked as if it had come straight from a company brochure. I've tidied it up a bit to better satisfy NPOV. Gr1st 23:36, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Oriflame

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Oriflame, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Oriflame. An article which you started, or significantly expanded, Alliance Trust, was selected for DYK!

Updated DYK query On February 23, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Alliance Trust, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Thanks for your contributions! Nishkid64 (talk) 01:10, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you

I noticed you did a grat job in fixing the references in the Tax affair in Germany 2008 and made some other good improvements. It may turn out that the title is to narrow, as other governments may start investigations. Ekem (talk) 13:10, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, you did a fine job yourself in translating the article and getting it onto DYK. The article title's probably OK for now, but as you say it may well need to be changed soon as events unfold. Will keep an eye on the story. Gr1st (talk) 11:23, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Perfect!

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ACS.svg

Thank you for uploading Image:ACS.svg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 23:13, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
