Notice

The article Vinida has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. SSSB (talk) 17:30, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The article clearly had citations when you created the article somewhere else, however you copied and pasted the information from that source using the finished product rather than the source code, your citations were therefore lost. All you need to do is simply reinsert them. SSSB (talk) 17:32, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Vinida.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Vinida.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:30, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Vinida

[edit]

Hi! I wanted to help explain why the page was nominated and also give you some notes on how to help save the article as well as general notes.

  • First things first, the source you used for this was Baidu Baike, an encyclopedia that allows random users to create articles. Wikipedia uses a similar format. Since anyone can edit, Baidu Baike cannot be used as a reliable source for either claims or to establish notability. You need independent, reliable sources like newspaper articles for this.
  • You uploaded the file File:Vinida.jpg without establishing how it meets fair use guidelines. It's fairly rare that images of people meet fair use guidelines, as the general thought process on Wikipedia is that you don't need an image to describe a person. It's not something I always agree with, to be honest. What this means for you is that the image will likely be deleted at some point as violating the fair use guidelines on Wikipedia.
  • I'm concerned that this may be a translation of the Baidu Baike site, which has a fairly restrictive copyright in that Baidu owns the full copyrights to any new material posted to their site. As such, their material cannot be posted elsewhere - not even a translation of the site. If this is the case, then this needs to be re-written in your own words.
Part of what makes me think that this is a translation of another site, likely Baidu Baike, is that there are things that don't really make sense to be in the article, such as random things like "Wan Nida "Chinese New Songs" (10 photos)". If this is a machine translation then it really does need to be re-written. Not only are there typically machine translation errors but this also poses a copyright issue with Google since they would presumably own the copyright to any machine translations, no matter how they appear. Some examples of translation issues in the article is the use of the pronoun 'he' to refer to a female artist. This needs to be generally re-written just to remove this and make the article flow better.

Please make sure that you address these, especially the concerns that deal with copyright. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:37, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Now one note about the source - if this is not the encyclopedia Baidu Baike, still be careful about what sources you use from Sina Corp. They do have some news outlets that can be usable, however at the same time they also have websites that allow for users to submit their own stories. Always be careful about what you use and from where. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:42, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright/plagiarism

[edit]

I dug a little deeper and I discovered that this is a machine translation of the Baike Baidu article. For the reasons I stated above, this is considered to be a copyright violation of both Baike Baidu and of Google Translate. As such, I had to delete the page. Even though you included the site as a citation, this is still seen as a copyright issue and plagiarism. Always be careful when writing article content - a good way to avoid doing this is to take notes while reading and write your article from those notes.

Unless the material is explicitly marked as falling into the public domain or was released under a compatible Creative Commons license, it should be assumed that the content is copyrighted in a way that would prohibit it from being used verbatim elsewhere. It's always best to write things in your own words, as this can help prevent issues like this from arising. I would like for you to review the module on plagiarism and copyright, thanks. Translated pages

[edit]

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that it's fine to translate pages into Chinese and vice-versa, however when creating a Chinese translation make sure that you post that on the Chinese Wikipedia. Also, just in case you haven't read over it, make sure that you review this training module on translating articles. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:01, 2 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Vinida.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, 嘻哈文化中的亲密关系暴力. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Partner violence in hip hop. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. – Ammarpad (talk) 04:27, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
