Palestine versus State of Palestine
I have changed it back. If you would look at the talk page you will see that the move to Palestine only was subject of an RM and rejected.Selfstudier (talk) 16:53, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- Selfstudier, not to sound arrogant, but it is such a pathetic title. Why not just mention Palestine, like there is no article "COVID-19 pandemic in Palestine" that refers to the territory, plus it's a common name. I can see why the Palestine article is "State of Palestine," but the pandemic article? Plus the RM's no-consensus-ed, not rejected. GeraldWL 17:13, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
- No consensus means just that. It doesn't give you or anyone else the right to unilaterally alter it without gaining consensus. I would prefer Palestine myself, the RM explains why this is problematic. Apart from that it is a good idea to be careful when editing any articles that relate to the Israel Palestine conflict, there is a notice on the talk page about that as well.Selfstudier (talk) 18:06, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Cuties
Please stop changing the last paragraph of the plot summary without discussion. It's fine to do that once per WP:BRD, but after someone reverts you twice and you continue, it is edit warring. Sundayclose (talk) 16:53, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

"Premiered in the 2020 Sundance Film Festival on 23 January, it was released in France on 19 August and on Netflix, 9 September" is an ungrammatical sentence. Do you know how to fix it? Sundayclose (talk) 16:04, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
- Sundayclose, it could prob be "It premiered in the 2020 Sundance Film Festival on 23 January, and is released in France on 19 August and in Netflix on 9 September." Was released is tagged as a passive voice misuse when I put it on a grammar checker, so I assume it should be is-- didn't pass English when I was in school so unsure how should I correct it. What do you think? GeraldWL 16:13, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not concerned about passive voice; that doesn't make something ungrammatical. I can't rewrite the sentence for you, but you have written an adjectival phrase ("Premiered in the 2020 Sundance Film Festival on 23 January") that is supposed to modify "it" but does not. If you separate the two parts of the sentence into two sentences, that phrase is an incomplete sentence. Sundayclose (talk) 16:19, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
- The version before your change is grammatical: "The film premiered in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition of the 2020 Sundance Film Festival on 23 January, where Doucouré won the Directing Award. It was released in France on 19 August by BAC Films and internationally on 9 September on Netflix." Sundayclose (talk) 16:33, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Memories of My Body
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Memories of My Body you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Gerald Waldo Luis -- Gerald Waldo Luis (talk) 12:21, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- Gerald Waldo Luis, it looks like you're new to the GA nomination process. You have opened a review on your own nomination, and that is not allowed. A review by an independent reviewer is needed. (You may want to take another look the GA nomination instructions on how the nomination and review process actually works.) I will be putting the review page in for a speedy deletion; until that happens, a valid reviewer will be unable to select your nomination for review. I wanted to let you know ahead of time. Best of luck with your nomination going forward. There is a backlog of nominations at the moment, so it may be a while before a reviewer does come along. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:36, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- BlueMoonset, sorry about that one, thought I was supposed to explain why I opened it for review there. Will wait for an indie. GeraldWL 07:54, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
