1) Marriage and divorce always have the potential to be controversial. 2) It doesn't matter whether known to be controversial or not; please read the links in the message I posted on your Talk page, especially Wikipedia's policy regarding biography of living persons, and you will see that all information that is even slightly open to challenge must be properly sourced. (An example of the rare sort of information about a person otherwise presumed to be alive that need not be sourced is that someone who was born before 1900 is most likely dead.) 3) How do you know that Diane Neal sent the tweet herself? But I had to remove the prod tag because an article being Unsourced is not a reason for deletion; What is a good reason is if sources cannot be found after a proper search, or if the sources that can be found do nto support the material. So please, look for sources--if they cannot be found, use afd, explaining where you looked. If they're not valid articles, afd is a more definiitve way of removing them in any case. Incomplete longevity claims

Yes, that's exactly what it means. If there are no sources available, the information shouldn't be on Wikipedia at all. The "incomplete longevity claims" article doesn't get a pass on that policy -- it refers to cases where a person of supposedly exceptional age can't produce documentation to support their claim, but we still need some other reliable source (not another WIkipedia article) to talk about that claim in order to mention it here. Please don't remove dead links this way

Hey. Please don't just remove dead links from articles as you did in this edit. Either replace the dead link with a live one, add a link to an archived version of the original link, or replace the cited source with another source that includes the same information. When Haaretz says that 848 mortar shells and 377 Qassam rockets were fired at Israel in 2005, it does not support the claim that "1225 rockets were fired at Israel in 2005". Yes, I concede the point. It appears that the scanned copy (at archive.org and at Google books) was a binding together of the 1921 through 1925 reports, and I was mis-navigating the Google Books online copy. However, please fully update the citation also, as right now it describes the 1924 Library Report as being published in 1922. Also, what was the basis for changing the publication date in the body of the Claire Briggs comic strip in the Morning Oregonian to 1925? That is clearly dated at October 3, 1922 in its reference. The External links section is not intended for a random selection of news articles concerning the subject of the article. The links you added could potentially be used as references to specific statements about the subject in the body of the article that are not already present or adequately cited, but EL should not be used as a corkboard to post a collection of links to media. See WP:EL. Your comment about 3RR is rather silly, since we are talking about a single revert, and your edit was clearly against Wikipedia policy. I assume there is some delay until Google's SE robot crawls the site and refreshes its cached copy. I don't expect it would be very long, however. When was the photo updated? 00:01, 5 August 2014 (UTC)

regarding 'Cullen'

Hi...regarding unsourced material...firstly the existing page for Cullen does not cite any proof for the connection with other surnames, nor its origins, or where the information was obtained...just a map showing former distribution of the name in Ireland and a claim it MAY be linked to Cullinane. Secondly, my surname is Cullen and i live in the Wicklow mountains...the heartland of this name for centuries. It is well known here that the name derives from the Irish for holly tree 'cuileann'. Wicklow and surrounding counties are still the stronghold for my surname and place names associated with it. The other surnames are virtually unknown in this part of Ireland and their similarity is probably coincidental.. their origins being from similar sounding Irish Gaelic words. Cullinane for example may have derived from 'cuil an abhainn', Collins from 'coileann'. The majority of websites seem to repeat one another and have confused not only Irish surnames and their origins, but also confused Cullen with Scottish first names such as Colin. This seems mainly an American phenomenon, where Irish surnames have been adopted as first names. So regarding 'sources'... It has become somewhat of a bug bear for many of us to see websites get what Irish scholars and Irish Cullens know wrong...we Wicklow Cullens should know and i hope you can correct the page 😉. Unfortunately, it is not what you know or the quality of your knowledge that is important, but whether readers of the article can independently verify the information you add to the article. That the existing information was not well sourced is beside the point – you removed it and replaced it with completely unsourced information. The burden is on those adding or changing information to provide reliable sources that support the changes. Unless you can specifically disprove it or show conclusively that its sources are invalid, you should never remove sourced information from articles even if you disagree with it. As I suggested in my edit summary, at most you should add an alternative explanation (if and only if you can provide citations). Redundancy in Portland article

It is unhelpful to specify Portland as the largest city by population in Oregon since it is the largest in every other measure as well. There is no measure by which it is not the largest. By later saying that it is the third highest population in the region after Vancouver and Seattle, all of the information is available to know with certainty that there cannot be any other city in Oregon with larger population, and thus the first sentence's "largest" statement must at least be valid for population but probably by other measures as well (which is true). If we add "by population" to the first sentence, it implies that it is not the largest by other measures, which would be false. I returned it to just saying "the largest" without the qualifier. The current version has no ambiguity whatsoever and reads clearly to anyone. There are numerous incidents on the Web of "Atul Misra" mentioned as the actor playing the role of Ved Vyas in this production, and none at all that I can find of you "Manuj Bhaskar" doing so. I remain unconvinced that you are who you claim to be and that your edit of Mahabharat (2013 TV series) is legitimate, but at least for the time being I will leave this for other editors to sort out. Hi! So, I wanted to explain why I made the changes on Keegan Allen's page. Is known that he was born in California, so I went to the California Birth Index online page, and I searched for Keegan Allen, but there wasn't a Keegan Allen born in 1989. If you search for Keegan Allen in the C.B.I. , the only Keegan's you're gonna found is a Keegan born in 1984 and in 1987, so I assumed it was the Keegan born in 1987, because Keegan's mom last name is Snyder, and this Keegan's mom last name (born in 1987 - on the California Birth Index) is Snyder.

@Hamilkar1893: It was, and is still, entirely unclear what it is you were trying to "correct" with this edit, and time had elapsed since you made it with no further edits. Also, this (direct insertion of the asterisk or dagger character) is not how notes and footnotes are inserted in Wikipedia articles (assuming that's what you intended to do eventually). Here also you have used a notation that includes "*" before the birthdate and "†" before the date of death. It is entirely unclear to me what you are intending to indicate with this notation, and it is not part of Wikipedia's conventions pertaining to the formatting of dates of birth and death in biographical articles. In German wiki one uses * for born and "†" before the date of death, if you have a look, you will see, that all the articles in German are in this way. Data Migration

You deleted my addition of an external link on the Data Migration page. There were already external links there, and I simply added another. I can understand why you deleted my link from the Data Conversion page because there was not already a section for external links, but I don't understand what was inappropriate about my addition of a link on the Data Migration page. Why was my link to Kofile Conversion Services not appropriate when others are allowed?

@Nerdalert66: Thank you for pointing out that the Wikipedia article concerning Alpana Singh was the source of the information you used to make changes to the marital status and personal history of Charles Blackstone. However, a Wikipedia article may never be used as the exclusive source for changes to another Wikipedia article, and since the corresponding information at Ms. Singh's article lacked any citation of a reliable source, I removed the claim that she is now divorced from that article. Please see Wikipedia's policy on biography of living persons for information on the requirement that reliable sources be cited for changes or additions to articles. @Macinchan: The citation (if it supports your statement) doesn't need to be on my Talk page; it needs to be a citation on the statement in the article, where any reader of the article can find it. (There is no requirement that citations be in English, though it is obviously preferred if they are.) Please see policies on citation, verifiability, reliable sources. Removal of Video Library Link

You just removed a video library link for Enneagram types, quoting policy of "links normally to be avoided" and that this is a "forum". The link I provided includes a lot of high quality information that is specifically relevant to the topic at hand and includes content from a number of notable industry experts. It is not from an interactive portion of that forum. Have you reviewed any of the content? That fact that this video wiki is contained within a discussion forum shouldn't eliminate it as a credible reference. Of course a british actor would want to identify as British, despite his birthplace. @68.9.101.207: Perhaps you hadn't noticed, but we have a policy here that all information added to biographical articles must cite reliable sources and therefore be verifiable by any reader. This means that your so-called "common knowledge" is not sufficient to add this kind of information to a biographical article, especially when it conflicts with multiple sources [1][2][3] that state that he was born in London and none can be found online that state he was born in Nicaragua. From that source: "The body was not immediately ID’d but the paper quoted a police spokesman as saying there was a “good chance” it was Upham. Marine General Amos Living Biography

General Amos Dwpaul, I am a new user and apologize for deleting text; I now better understand how to contribute. Sir, as is evident by tampering with tampering of General Amos' "call sign" to the point of "locking it down" to prevent further vandalism, there are Wiki editors with a personal agenda to contribute one-sided allegations from news papers without providing the response from Marine officials, making the appearance that these claims are fact. I struggle with Wikipedia as being credible when such contributions are not controlled for. Are all "national inquirer" style claims allowed just because they have "sources" referring to a news paper? The vast majority of claims at the end of the General Amos' career were stated as false/dismissed/never proven true by Marine and Gov't Officials. If Wiki community do not take into a account the "outcome" of these allegations, then the value of Wikipedia is to defame and slander Biographies of Living Individuals by the contributors with the greatest will power to continue contributing one sided allegations. It's an endless cycle of cat and mouse.

I ask that you help me to not allow General Amos' Living Biography be a sounding board for critics of his career. Two of General Amos' biggest contributions that are currently not in his Wiki page are: - recognition of African American Mumford Point Marines (see article "70 years gone, Montford Point Marines get their due" @ http://www.mcclatchydc.com/2012/06/27/153874/70-years-gone-montford-point-marines.html) & - integration of women in combat (http://www.businessinsider.com/marine-corps-women-combat-positions-2014-3)

Sir, the previous two references are real contributions of General Amos. Currently, in his Wiki Page, items like "allegations of abuse of power" were proven 100% unsubstantiated by the US Inspector General" - so why are they still presented as fact? All similar allegations should be reorganized on his Wiki to downplay their importance during his career. The US Marine Corp will not further address the claims "that he padded his resume" further than beyond what they already provided. Allegations were made - Marines dismissed allegations by justifying what occurred. Simple as that. Therefore, in my mind, these allegations should be removed or at least reported balanced on his Wiki.

Thank you for reading this. I am sorry to have rambled. I hope you can understand my comments and can help to revise General Amos' living bio on Wiki.

Of all the articles on Wikipedia, the article on pit bulls is among the most extensively discussed (going back to 2003 -- see Talk:Pit bull) and the text of the article is the one that has achieved consensus among many editors with knowledge of the subject. While further improvement is certainly possible, wholesale removal and replacement of the sourced information presented with your unsourced opinion is not an improvement by any measure, and if you continue will result in your being blocked from editing. Unless you include citations when you make edits to biographical articles, they are likely to be reverted, especially if controversial (as that one was). I will not "return" the edits; they are in the article history for your review, and you can make them again (with, and only with, citations of reliable sources) if you choose to do so.
