Hi! Feel free to leave a comment or question for me below!
Rollback granted
Hi Ganesha811. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until 2019-11-06. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 23:27, 6 September 2019 (UTC)
- L235, Thank you! Appreciate it. Why is the approval temporary, out of curiosity? Ganesha811 (talk) 01:16, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Ganesha811, the approval was temporary only because you have a fairly limited anti-vandalism history, with 11 total reverts. You've done great work, and the temporary grant is just to allow me or another admin to make sure nothing is going wrong; as I said at PERM, just leave me a note when it's close to expiring and I'll take a look at your anti-vandalism work then. Best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 01:21, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
- L235, ah gotcha, makes sense! Thanks. Ganesha811 (talk) 01:26, 7 September 2019 (UTC)

Good article reassessment for Hawthorne, Florida
Hawthorne, Florida, an article that you or your project may be interested in, has been nominated for a community good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status may be removed from the article. SounderBruce 00:29, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
- Hi there Ganesha. Thanks for volunteering to participate in the GA review backlog drive. SounderBruce is one of our most experienced Wikipedians when it comes to writing articles about cities and so there will no doubt be a lot of great things to learn about how GA works in that GAR. One tip, besides reading the official guide and the well put together essays some editors have written (1, 2) which you might have already done, is to find some recent GAs that are similar and compare how the article stacks up against them. I did this a lot when I was starting - I got to read some really good articles as a bonus - and still will do it when I'm reviewing a subject area I'm not as familiar with. Sometimes I'll even look to featured articles knowing that I then have to scale down the expectations. I hope that's helpful for you and you continue to enjoy your time editing. If you have any questions I might be able to answer please don't hesitate to ping me or drop me a note on my talk page. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 01:28, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
- Barkeep49, Thank you for your advice. I have read the guide and some of the essays, but I'll be sure to look through some of the recent GAs as well. Ganesha811 (talk) 15:28, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 18
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Male cosmetics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Streamer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi, could you point me to the policy page or consensus-building discussion which established that Wordpress.com blogs are, contrary to all existing consensus, reliable sources? I'm not aware of it! Thanks! 199.247.44.42 (talk) 05:16, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- I don't believe there is one! Of course, I'm not the person who added that content or sources in the first place, so perhaps you should take it up with them. I've now restored the content with better, reliable sources. Thank you for calling attention to this issue! Your diligence is appreciated. Ganesha811 (talk) 05:20, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Well sure you didn't add it in the first place, though of course by restoring it after it'd been contested you took responsibility for it, so, a bit moot there. Good job on finding the better sources in the bill of rights article. If I could offer a little constructive advice, maybe next time find reliable sources for the material first and restore it second? That's generally how the process goes and can make these awkward situations go smoother. 199.247.44.42 (talk) 05:30, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- I don't know, perhaps I'm just not that constructive. As you mentioned in your edit summary, maybe it's because I'm incapable of reading? Or, as you said about the other user involved, perhaps it's that I need to be spoon-fed? I admire your desire to improve the reliability of Wikipedia. I do not admire your attitude while doing so.
- If I could offer you a little constructive advice, maybe next time find reliable sources for the material first and then you don't have to remove it at all.
- Ganesha811 (talk) 05:35, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Heh, good one. "next time find reliable sources for the material first". "Just leave unsourced/poorly-sourced material alone actually; WP:V isn't real." Can you imagine? That'd be wild. I'm glad we have guidelines instead. 199.247.44.42 (talk) 05:57, 14 October 2019 (UTC)

Arthur de Gobineau

The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Arthur de Gobineau has been completed.
It's shorter by about 600 words and I did some reorganization where it made sense to me, and worked on the citations for consistency. As far as removing any additional material I assume suggestions would need to be made on the article's Talk Page with a consensus reached by interested editors.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Nivomat merge
I see your comment and that the subsequent merge has occurred. I think that the methodology used is a departure from other things such as 'Kleenex' for example and all of those items should be reviewed in that light. Nivomat is not just a tradename for some automotive product, it is a generational improvement for this type of automotive suspension, and specifically for load-leveling. It is prevalent in the industry and spectacularly efficient. Yet it receives a single paragraph now as compared to something as earth shattering as a facial tissue.
I just find that kind of odd. I had never heard of Nivomat until I located a reference to it on a trade blog of some sort. Upon looking into it, it appears that the wiki is going to some trouble to minimize its notoriety? Suggest another reason for the full blown page on for example Kleenex and the paragraph on Nivomat. I would like to hear it.
By all means, share this criticism with the other authors, the difference in treatment is quite astounding. Is there any effort to make pages more standardized in content and content level? Based on what I have read, the Nivomat system is very definitely on par with the likes of things such as Kleenex. Perhaps they did not register the trademark. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jaydubyah43 (talk • contribs) 16:38, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
- Jaydubyah43, I really have no automotive expertise, so my nomination wasn't based on that. I just didn't see sufficient coverage in reliable sources, which is Wikipedia's standard for notability. It seems other editors agreed. There's no effort 'minimize the notoriety' of Nivomat - the content has not been deleted, just moved. Anyone searching for 'Nivomat' will be redirected. Thanks for your feedback on the discussion. Ganesha811 (talk) 17:05, 30 July 2020 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on White trash; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Beyond My Ken (talk) 22:33, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
This has been discussed on the talk page, and there is no consensus for the changes you insist on making. DO NOT EDIT AGAINST CONSENSUS. IT IS DISRUPTIVE AND CAN LEAD TO YOUR BEING BLOCKED FROM EDITIING. Beyond My Ken (talk) 22:33, 8 March 2021 (UTC)- Beyond My Ken, I'm happy to discuss on the talk page, but I am concerned that you appear to think the only acceptable version of the article is the one that you prefer. Consensus editing means taking into account the fact that other people have different opinions. The fact that other people are also seeking to edit and change the article should not perturb you so much. Neither you nor I own the page. Ganesha811 (talk) 22:43, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- My mistake, I confused you with another editor. There now appears to be a consensus for the removal of the quotation marks, so I have done so. Sorry for my confusion. Beyond My Ken (talk) 22:53, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
- Beyond My Ken, no problem. Mistakes happen. There's another content issue we have to resolve - about to comment on the talk page. Ganesha811 (talk) 23:40, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

Your edit at Joe Biden
You don't understand how the legislative process works, the minimum wage icnrease would've been added to the whole bill itself, not as an amendment which it was turned into and the vote you reference as a reason for your deletion. Please research the subject beforehand. CaliIndie (talk) 21:08, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- CaliIndie, fair enough, it's a complicated area, so you may well be right. In any case, I'd expect that before long other editors will also offer opinions on the phrasing/inclusion of sentences to that effect if they remain in the article. I'm sure consensus will be reached at some point. Ganesha811 (talk) 21:24, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- A discussion has been opened at the talk page of Joe Biden on it, again, another editor has conflated the vote on the minimum wage amendment with the minimum wage blocked by the parliamentarian. I guess this will need to be a lesson in how crafting a bill works. CaliIndie (talk) 21:31, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
