I noticed that you created 1971 in NASCAR and 1971 NASCAR Winston Cup Series which are currently about the same topic. They should be combined and one redirected to the other. I think you should keep 1971 NASCAR Winston Cup Series since that's a better name. Do you know how to create a redirect? I can do it if you don't know how and don't want to learn. Since I'm an admin, I can do a history merge if you want. Royalbroil 01:12, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

The redirect has officially been accomplished. Thank you very much for pointing this out to me. Sorry for all your troubles. GVnayR (talk) 02:15, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Hair Designs (Simcoe, Ontario), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Crusio (talk) 17:52, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Boston Common (Waterford, Ontario), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Boston Common (Waterford, Ontario). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Proposed deletion of Gopher Dunes

The article Gopher Dunes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable track, no indication of notability whatsoever.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Crusio (talk) 18:15, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

notability

Hi, I have tagged several articles that you created/edited for notability. The reason for that is simply that none of those seem to fulfill the criteria for notability that articles have to adhere too. You removed several of those tags stating that the number of Ghits showed notability. If you take a moment to read the policies on notability and on reliable independent sources, you will see that number of Ghits does not establish notability. Please add reliable sources establishing notability, otherwise I'll be fordced to take those articles to AfD and that would be a pity given all the work you have invested (because without any sources, they would have a snowball's chance in hell to survive that). I haven't found any good sources, but let me know if I can give you any other advice. --Crusio (talk) 09:20, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Sandra Bell-Lundy, an article that you created, for deletion. Orphaned non-free media (File:TowerDreamResultsScreen.png)

Thanks for uploading File:TowerDreamResultsScreen.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 08:04, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I came across the above article while reviewing the stub in respect of the software publisher Forum (video game company). I intend to WP:PROD the software company, as it does not contain any information not held in the Super Indy Champ article and is otherwise non-notable. I am writing to advise you that I considered also PROD'ing the Super Indy Champ article also, but I didn't because it is a fairly lengthy and detailed piece. My concern is that the SIC article is solely about the gameplay of the software, and there is no indication of why it is notable, nor is there anything about the game development, if it sold well in the Japanese market, and nor is there any references that establish notability. Instead of PROD'ing the article I decided to ask you, as the major contributor, whether you could find some of the missing information and include it. Cheers, LessHeard vanU (talk) 20:18, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

I found as much information as I could understand on the Internet. I'm sorry if couldn't find anything else but gameplay (I did play this game a few times firsthand) and release information. Maybe other people (with sources of information from Japanese gaming magazines) could find the notability and game development information that you're looking for. A tag has been placed on Simcoe Curling Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 12:38, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

November 2009

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Deconstructhis (talk) 04:53, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to In vitro meat. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. otherlleft 19:36, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Do not panic

The Nanotech age article might have problems but there are often problems with articles for some time before they are fixed. I am not well informed on style issues myself. So, I do not know how helpful I will be. It takes less time to give you my sympathy than to help, and I am finding myself short of time. Good luck.--Fartherred (talk) 04:39, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for taking the time to respond to me. I will try harder to improve my style in the future. GVnayR (talk) 04:40, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Nanotech age

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Nanotech age. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nanotech age. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:04, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

The only criterion by which I think this AfD might succeed is the claim that Nanotech age is a fork with Nanotechnology, so the lesser should be merged with the greater. This is not the polite way of suggesting a merge of articles. The nominator should have used the talk pages of the articles as per guidelines.--Fartherred (talk) 01:51, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
It is flattering to have someone follow my advice. So I make an effort not to take an ego trip but to give advice that is good for Wikipedia and a fellow Wikipedian. One improvement that you can make to the AfD that I am not allowed make to is to strike through your old vote and the argument supporting it like this: These words are struck. --Fartherred (talk) 15:39, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks again for your advice. I will try to remember that from now on. GVnayR (talk) 17:25, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
