Your GA nomination of Hypericum sechmenii
The article Hypericum sechmenii you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Hypericum sechmenii for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Eewilson (talk) 19:14, 14 February 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Hypericum sechmenii
On 4 March 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Hypericum sechmenii, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that despite containing crystals and chemicals which are thought to deter herbivory, Hypericum sechmenii is still under threat of extinction from grazing? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hypericum sechmenii. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Hypericum sechmenii), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (ie, 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Thanks for your comments/changes to History of Pernambuco
Hi, Thanks again. I wondered if you could be more explicit on your tagging as to undo weight. I am thinking you are referring mostly to the last two sections where you also tag them as straying from the topic. However, if there are other areas I would appreciate your directing my attention to them. I am not certain how I would proceed with the two sections "Urban life" and "Recent History." These two are particularly difficult for me as sourcing is difficult, requiring knowledge of very recent events and judging what is significant (especially since my real area of interest in Pernambuco from 1580 to 1630). If I lived in Pernambuco I might have a better feel for what should be included, but I don't.P2dwight (talk) 19:38, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- @P2dwight: sure, I can try to elaborate some more, though with the disclaimer that I'm not at all an expert on the topic at hand. The major issue that I saw in the article in those last two sections was that they focused very heavily on one historical aspect: quality of life in the region and workers' rights. While these are two very important topics and Pernambuco seems to be a hotbed for class conflict, which would lend to there being more information about those topics in the article, the last two sections only talk about those things. They don't touch on political history, economic history, or other aspects of social history. Again, I'm no expert on Pernambuco, but one thing I noticed is that there is a table of leaders of Pernambuco towards the end of the article, but no mention of that table or the governance of Pernambuco at all in the modern era is found in the article. What is there is good information! However, the article encompasses the entire history of the state, and there are other aspects of that history that, while reading and copyediting, seemed a little glossed over or wholly missing. Again, I have no idea what information is out there on those topics, that was just the impression I got as the outstanding issue with the article, everything else was fantastic and it was a great read! Please keep me in the loop if you need a hand with anything specific, I'm in the middle of projects at the moment and would love to help. Fritzmann (message me) 21:53, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- As another note, the "Early Brazilian Period (1807–1889)" is very well balanced, having those subheaders that look at different aspects of history. That sort of thing is what I thought the modern sections could stand to incorporate which would bump the article up a great deal in quality. Fritzmann (message me) 21:55, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- I hope this is going to work. 1. Thanks for the barnstar. 2 Thanks for the expanded response, to my earlier post, (I think it is longer than when I first saw it) I will look at "Early Brazil. 3. I reread the article and have several things that I think merit discussion and for which I a made a post on the History of Brazil Talk page. I hope you will be able to look at it. Once again thanks.P2dwight (talk) 23:22, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
Again, many thanks for editing History of Pernambuco and for looking over the table on the talk page, and your encouragement. I will go ahead and make the changes as you suggested, although I am going to be distracted by life here for a few days.P2dwight (talk) 13:55, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

5th Virginia Regiment Article is Vandalized
Could someone please edit the article to remove the bits about James Due? He had absolutely nothing substantial to do with the regiment, although he may have served. There were many other members of the regiment who did just as much who have not been mentioned at all. This is clearly an act of vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.80.226.81 (talk) 16:32, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
So Others Might Eat Page
I'm utterly confused why I can't edit the page.
The information on the page is completely dated and i'm updating it with valid information. The founder is incorrect, and I added the correct founder. The history is non-existent, I added the correct history of So Others Might Eat. I'm an advocate for SOME and also remained completely objective. This is increasingly frustrating why I cannot update the page with correct information. Dwmccorvey (talk) 16:54, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Dwmccorvey: thank you for disclosing your conflict of interest. Per WP:COI, as an advocate for SOME (which I assume means you are a part of their organization), you should not edit any articles related to SOME at all. Additionally, you have removed information from the infobox which was properly cited and contributed to the article. If you have constructive information (which is suitably referenced), please leave a message on the talk page of the article. If you have any questions, please feel free to message me. Fritzmann (message me) 17:07, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
If I can't edit the page - can somebody from your team edit it using information from some.org? I understand the page is antiquated but how are we supposed to update it if we cannot edit it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.250.247.71 (talk) 17:36, 27 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Dwmccorvey: you've hit the nail on the head, that is exactly the process we follow. Just leave a message on the talk page of the article that includes all of the outdated information, along with, and this is the most important part to get the info in the article, reliable, third-party references. That means a website, book, or the like that is not related to SOME that includes the information you want to add. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for more details. - Apologies, for the nomination and the templating, but I believe this needs to be looked into. Until it has been, could I suggest you stop creating articles based on that source, as if I am correct I believe they will also have copyvio issues. BilledMammal (talk) 18:30, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- @BilledMammal: Hello, no worries! Thanks for looking into this. I'd obviously like to be a part of the discussion on this, as pretty much every plant article I've created over the last several years has followed a similar formula. However, I'll wait until there's a proper forum for discussion rather than arguing my case here and risking any unduly emotional responses. Absolutely, I'll put a pause on taxon article creation entirely until this is resolved. Let me know if I can be of any assistance to the process. Best wishes, Fritzmann (message me) 21:17, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- Just as an aside, is there a proper place to formally dispute this? I may just be blind but I can't seem to find it. Fritzmann (message me) 21:22, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- I've been looking for it too, but haven't been able to find it. I've asked MER-C, an admin who was recently active at Wikipedia:Copyright problems, if they could provide some assistance.
- Unfortunately, I won't be of much help from this point; I am not experienced with this area of the project, and only came across it because the article was used as an example at the village pump - I will note that I hope I am wrong. BilledMammal (talk) 21:37, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
- @BilledMammal: at the advice of another editor, I've rewritten the article to the best of my abilities at Talk:Glaucium calycinum/Temp. Both the distribution and description sections have been rewritten in such a way that, I believe, is the most unique from the referenced text while still maintaining the integrity of the information. Hopefully that is sufficient to avoid any possible copyvio issues. Fritzmann (message me) 23:05, 13 February 2022 (UTC)

Thanks, much appreciated!--Parsedan (talk) 07:43, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
Hello. I find that the redirection of my article "Jeanne II d'Albret" by a contributor is not very understandable insofar as the article was complete and sourced with a complete genealogy. Moreover, the article appears on frWP, on Wikidata and on WIR (Joan of Albret). I will not "fight" to maintain my point of view but nevertheless I wanted to point it out to you since you did me the pleasure of awarding me a "barnstar". Kind regards. --Parsedan (talk) 15:23, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Parsedan: thanks for reaching out to me, I took a look at the article and it is certainly weird that it was redirected without any discussion whatsoever. I'm reaching out to a few other people for advice, but there will be a discussion on restoring the article and whether or not it is notable. Even if it isn't notable, I feel like you're absolutely entitled to explanation as to why that is, and not just a snap removal. I'm sorry this happened; it's got to be pretty frustrating. In the morning, I'll start a discussion on the talk page of the article it got redirected to so that you can make your case. In the meantime, if you want to be really prepared and make a strong argument (or if you just need something to direct your energy towards), I'd recommend digging a bit deeper on the subject and trying to find even more sources and information. Thanks again for your positive energy and level-headedness, and this is absolutely something you are entitled to "fight" for, albeit in a respectful way. Just ping me if you've got any other kinds of questions! Fritzmann (message me) 03:19, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Battle of Cedar Creek
Frtizmann2002 - Thank you for volunteering to look at the Battle of Cedar Creek. I think it is great that you are not a Civil War buff—it should make your review more meaningful. For people with short attention spans (like me), images are important. Maps help me understand what is going on, and portraits help me remember important people. That's why I want to make sure all images are useful, but not have too many. Thanks again. TwoScars (talk) 15:38, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Fritzmann2002: Excellent stuff in the Peer Review so far (through Battle). I will address everything, but today I had to work on taxes. I will start with a redo of the intro with your suggestions, and use a total of three paragraphs. For the bullet points under Opposing forces, I used them for larger battles such as the Battle of the Wilderness and the Third Battle of Winchester, but text–only for smaller battles such as the Battle of Droop Mountain and the Battle of White Sulphur Springs. I think normally bullet points are frowned upon, but some of the larger battles have so many units that I believe bullet points make it easier for the reader. Although I do not want to provide too much detail, I think it is also useful to know if a unit is experienced vs. new, good reputation vs. not-as-good, well-armed etc. TwoScars (talk) 20:46, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

Hypericum
Hello Fritzmann. While I appreciate the invitation, I don't have the energy to contribute to the Hypericum page in any transformative sense right now. However, if you run across any specific botanical or taxonomic questions while working on it, I would be glad to help you answer them. Just shoot me a message on my talk page. I am familiar with the Hypericum species of the mid-South region inside and out, but my genus knowledge deteriorates quickly when outside of my geographic "comfort zone". The references I would start with would be Flora of North America and Alan Weakley's Flora of the Southeast. But the genus is so massive that I know that's just the tip of the iceberg.Masebrock (talk) 05:37, 11 April 2022 (UTC)

Hallo, Thanks for creating Thánh Thiên. (Quick note: the WiR page specifies that newest articles should be listed at the top of the list, not the bottom, so I moved your additions to the top on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Meetup/229).
I was about to add her dates to the lead sentence, to give chronological context (for those like me who aren't fammiliar with the Trung sisters' rebellion so can't use that for dating her), but then found you'd used AD in the text and CE in the infobox, so it was difficult to see how to follow your lead and keep consistent! Would you like to standardise on one or the other for the article? Thanks. PamD 07:48, 2 May 2022 (UTC)
- @PamD: thanks for the catch! Sloppy editing on my part, I was using dates from different sources and completely forgot to keep them standard. I'll go ahead and fix that real quick. Fritzmann (message me) 11:45, 2 May 2022 (UTC)
Fritzmann, if you wish to continue pursuing this nomination, it is important that you reply to the current discussion on the review page. I don't feel I can pursue finding a new reviewer if you aren't committed to addressing any issues they might raise, and you have yet to address the issues most recently raised in the given second opinion. Thank you very much for giving this your attention. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:27, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset Hello, I am currently not in a situation where I have access to a desktop, but will be able to fully engage by Saturday or Sunday at the latest. Is it possible to wait until then? If so I should be able to put some solid time into addressing the comments and further review. Fritzmann (message me) 00:34, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Absolutely, we can wait through the weekend. Thanks for responding; I look forward to seeing your posts when you're able to work on a desktop. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:10, 3 June 2022 (UTC)

shipwrecks
No tight guidelines that I'm aware of. Supposed to be only ships sunk or aground, but many are ones just damaged or had a fire aboard like the Navy Assault ship that burned in Ca., never sank or grounded though she ended up beimg scrapped.
Your GA nomination of Hypericum aegypticum
The article Hypericum aegypticum you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Hypericum aegypticum for comments about the article. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Sauriazoicillus -- Sauriazoicillus (talk) 00:41, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
- It looks like Legobot made some assumptions that are no longer quite correct, but yes: I listed it.
- I left you a note about a trivial page-num problem (I suspect it's a case of pg 1 of the pdf vs pg 427 of the journal; I'm not certain that page numbers are strictly required for nine-page articles, and GA has never required anything about citation formatting, but whatever system you use would ideally not confuse people, and I figured that you'd like to know about it).
