File source problem with File:Metrorail construction.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Metrorail construction.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 19:39, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:The Happening.ogg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:The Happening.ogg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. File permission problem with File:CountyCauseway1923.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:CountyCauseway1923.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 19:53, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Per the new consensus, found here, Infoboxes are to now hold no "Color" which results in the default colour (#CCCFFF) to end colour editing wars and disputes. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 02:03, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Your edits

I noticed on some of your edits your italized and changed the dash on OLTL characters now on GH, and I'm here to tell you I undid those edits. We don't use italics the on show, and the long dash should be kept since it represents "to present", not the short dash. Thank you. MusicFreak7676 TALK! 19:15, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Viki clint 1986.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Viki clint 1986.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

How to nominate at AFD

I've fixed your nomination of Morgan kiriakis, it is now located at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Morgan kiriakis. You missed a step in the nominating process, you create a subpage at "Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/page name" for the article your nominating, then you transclude that into the deletion log, rather then placing the nomination directly there. Your first edit to the log was actually correct in terms of syntax, you just needed to create the subpage first. Monty845 01:57, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Miami-Dade Transit, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Terminus (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Doris Belack as Anna Wolek.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Doris Belack as Anna Wolek.png.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:38, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

AMC and OLTL help

I was wondering since someone created the List of characters from Y&R from 1970s to 2010s, can you help me with this? Thanks! Jester66 (talk) 06:41, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

This image doesn't help me and other readers understand the text. The image consists of mere emotions played by actresses. The caption should not help me understand the image, but it did. I'm going to nominate this image for deletion if you do not oppose nomination. Do you? --George Ho (talk) 00:50, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

No it doesn't; these are mere two actresses. One looks away; other tries to make her look. Even this image is too easy to understand and to describe. Also, the text is very easy to understand. --George Ho (talk) 03:08, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
By the way, you don't see one image of Arthur Fowler and Pauline Fowler in these articles. Also, as I realized, there is no need to add a duo image of Viki Lord and Karen Wolek, unless there is an article about Viki and Karen themselves. --George Ho (talk) 04:28, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
Some user tagged the file for speedy deletion, but at least I changed date and concerns. --George Ho (talk) 09:43, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
I see your point. It's fine then, I'm for deletion. FrickFrack 19:31, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Infoboxes

Hello. I just wanted to bring to your attention that Template:Infobox soap character 2 is being introduced into U.S. soap articles. Discussions for alterations have taken place as well. Many character articles for The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful have already been changed or are in the process of being changed. I'm bringing this up as I saw you reverted Starr Manning's infobox back, I was just attempting to bring the Infobox 2 movement into General Hospital articles (in addition, some GH articles have already been changed). I don't believe Infobox 2 is formatted specifically for EastEnders. Also, in concern to the image, discussions have taken place discussing that either screen-captures or images of characters in their natural habitats should be used rather than high-quality promotional images. Years don't really matter either. This is mostly to satisfy guidelines at WP:NFCC. I just thought I would bring this to your attention. Regards, Creativity97 00:04, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

Infobox 2 vs 1

I have to disagree that consensus was to switch to box2, I believe at WP:SOAPS the consensus was that box2 on its own was not preferred and we have been discussing and making changes to box1 to incorporate the parts of box2 editors like. Half the changes to box1 have been made and the other half I requested today. I think Starr Manning should go back to box1, if anything for consistency with other GH and OLTL characters... Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 02:52, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

I actually was wondering if someone agreed with my prior point. I like consistency too, and the default is the precedent. FrickFrack 03:19, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
Okay. I think the editors that like box2 made some good points and I like how that has spurred updates to box1. Hopefully when the rest of the updates are made it will end some confusion. Take care! Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 03:21, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
I'm confused, why are you putting them back again to 2? Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 03:55, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
Yeah. Two is a much more comprehensive infobox. FrickFrack 03:57, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
But there have been lengthy discussions at wp:soaps and consensus was not to switch. Updates are in progress to box 1 to incorporate some of the box2 fields. Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 03:59, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
Ahh, I see. Great to see some updates to the infobox. I'll abstain from making changes until the fields are implemented. FrickFrack 04:06, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
Ok, thanks - sorry for any confusion! Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 04:08, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
