Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Baden Powelllaan 12, Rotterdam may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

I wrote it after viewing their collection from 2008. To write about their online collection, is it required to search other source?

I am new and need to learn many thing. Sorry for it. Jibanananda (talk) 10:11, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions thus far. Usually, independent and reliable sources are needed for all articles. I am sure you can find some for your article's subject. Help:Referencing for beginners and WP:NPOV might be useful to read too. Good luck and let me know if you need further assistance. FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 14:18, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Matt Segal Article Declined Question

I used the existing Wikipedia Sonnie Trotter page as a baseline for creating Matt Segal's page. The only "reliable source" on Sonnie's page is a link to his Patagonia Ambassador Page. I Included Matt's North Face athlete page as a reference in his article. This seemed like an equivalent source to the Patagonia page Sonnie used. Just curious as to how Sonnie's page made the cut as far as reliable sources. I referenced Sonnie's Wikipedia page (Matt Segal is mentioned in Sonnie's article) in Matt's article.

Thanks for any guidance you can provide. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Un5table (talkcontribs) 20:34, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Hello there! The article you mention probably wasn't submitted through Articles for Creation. To see what Wikipedia considers reliable and independent sources, read WP:IRS and WP:IS. Please note that in order to satisfy the notability of an athlete, special criteria need to be fulfilled. See WP:ATHLETE. Also, Wikipedia is not a reliable source, and as such shouldn't be cited. Let me know if you need further assistance. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 21:20, 24 May 2013 (UTC)

Illinois Woman's Press Association

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to comment on my article on the Illinois Woman's Press Association. I'm a newbie here and would value your help. If you visit my sandbox, you'll find I've rewritten the article. I now see another volunteer administrator has posted there are copyright infringements.... I'm slightly confused here. I'm currently the historian of this organization. I just completed serving two, two-year terms as the organization's president. I have boxes and boxes of material in my work space from which I've gathered the history of the organization. There is no one to grant permission for me to use the material. We own it. I have it. I'd be asking myself for permission to use the materials. I don't mean to be funny here. But really, as past president I'd be giving myself permission. Our organization has asked me to write the history of this 128 year old Illinois based organization and see about getting it on Wikipedia. I would appreciate your advice. Antisemitism in 21st-century Hungart - Comment

Dear FoCuSandLeArN, thank you for you latest review of the article "Antisemitism in 21st-century Hungary".

I couldn't quite understand the reason for your comment "Original research has to be removed, and analysis needs to be third-party based, neutral and notable". The article isn't based on an original research of mine and is completely based upon third-party researches. Further more, in my opinion, those researches that the article is based on, aren't partial nor biased, they are based on sociological analysis, and were conducted by notable researchers and were publish in notable journals.

I would truly appreciate if you could please be more specific so I could improve the article.

Respectfully yours, ScottyNolan (ScottyNolan (talk) 08:29, 25 May 2013 (UTC))

Hello there! Have a look at Wikipedia:No original research, and make sure your article's claims are properly cited. I encourage you to contact the appropriate WikiProject and get help with the article's structure and content, given the nature of the subject. See WP:NPOV. The mentioned studies need to be properly referenced, but be aware that Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and as such, claims need to be analysed from different perspectives, showing a balanced worldview of the topic. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 23:59, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

About Peronosclerospora images

I am not familiar with Talk here, so I will just respond here. I apologize for the delay, I got caught up with finishing school. Thank you! It was a lot of work. I have pictures, but I'm still figuring out how to upload them and link them in via this site. I made this article for a class wiki and they encouraged us to share the information to the actual Wikipedia. This was my wiki for class if that helps any: http://128.143.14.99:7890/mediawiki/index.php/Peronosclerospora_philippinensis Thanks, ScorpCoronado May 26, 2013 — Preceding unsigned comment added by ScorpCoronado (talkcontribs) 01:03, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

Edge Hill Students' Union page

Hi FoCuSandLeArN

I wrote the article and saw your comment regarding the sources, do you have any suggestions? I have worked for the organisation for the last 5 years, and that is the basis of most of the knowledge on that page.

Thanks

Sources are there to verify the article's contents and to establish the subject's notability. They need to be independent of the subject and reliable. Good sources can usually be found in newspapers, books, magazines, etc. Make sure you go over the WP:COI guidelines too. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 15:08, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Mabotec BV

Dear FoCuSandLeArN, Many thanks for your review on my article "Mabotec BV". You have been reviewing my second trial to get this article uploaded. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Mabotec_BV) As suggested, I read the instructions about references. But I got stuck here, because I really don't know what to do else. Are there some references to take away, or must I put more references? I added some independent reports concerning Mabotecs growth, revenues and way of operation. I also have been refering to pages in their website (which I have noticed to be common practice within other Wiki pagen. Could you be so kind as to helping me out here? Thank you so much and have a nice day. With kind regards, Raoul Tak

(Raoultak (talk) 12:13, 28 May 2013 (UTC))

Hello there! Firstly, the article contains promotional language, such as in "customers all over the world, the company has become one of the leaders within its branch" and "exotic materials with excellent mechanical properties". Sources are all primary, that is they all point to the company's website. Please see WP:IRS and WP:IS for how to improve the references, as they are quite clear. I suggest adding newspaper articles to your submission, for example. As for the renues, growth, awards, etc. it's always best to include independent sources which are verifiable, to back them up. Hope this helps, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 15:39, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

tony seton page submission

Hello, I'm Tony Seton. I asked an editor-friend of mine to produce a page on me since I'm not allowed to. I gave her a lot of information, including my bio page and a bunch of links. The information she used was accurate. It wasn't a hype job. What can be done to allow it to be posted, please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tony7281seton (talkcontribs) 23:20, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Hello there. I'm afraid the editor in question is experiencing a conflict of interest. The material won't be accepted unless it fulfils Wikipedia guidelines, most importantly notability guidelines. If extensive coverage in independent and reliable sources is not provided, we won't be able to accept such an article at this point. If notability is not an issue, then it won't be a problem producing those sources for the article's reference section. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 23:27, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Georgina Harding, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stour Valley (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

AfC Jewinthecity

Hi, I saw your comment about the article I submitted. Do you have any suggestions about how the article can be improved? For NPOV am I supposed to add some criticism or disagreements? Not all wikipedia articles include any if they are just describing something so I'm not sure what you mean... Do I need more sources? I took all the information from a variety of newspaper articles which I believe are good sources, I don't think type of sources is a problem here. I'd appreciate if you could clarify what you meant about "tone" so I can make changes if needed. I've been editing wikipedia for a long time but this is the first article I've created from scratch so I am willing to learn. Lismet (talk) 19:26, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

Those pages I recommended are very useful as guides. Language such "works to break down stereotypes", "Josephs became Orthodox in her teens as a result of an existential crisis about the meaning of life that had been plaguing her since childhood" is not very partial. Yes, criticism is encouraged, although not necessary as you correctly stated. I merely highlighted a few issues I thought needed addressing. I suggested reading WP:COI given the nature of your username. I am also not very knowledgeable about those Jewish-oriented sources you provided. The only one I am certain is reliable is the HuffP, so if you have more like that one I encourage you to add them, but make sure they're full citations, so as to avoid link rot. Hope this helps! FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 20:42, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi, you reviewed my article for creation "TheCavaliersSeries" and it was rejected and deleted due to apparent copyright infringement. As it's gone completely, I unfortunately can't link back so I hope you can remember it - which bit was copyrighted? Was the rest of the page okay, as I don't want to just resubmit minus the copyrighted parts if there were also other problems - best to try and redo it all in one go. Hello there! WP:CORP is a very good place to start. However, I can tell you that listing every product is not encyclopaedic. Also, language such as "leading-edge" or "market leader" is not considered neutral. All such statements need referencing by third-party sources. Please state why the company is notable, and include extensive coverage in independent and reliable sources. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 13:07, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello there! Thank you for contacting me. With regards to sources, WP:IRS and WP:IS will be of great help to you. The sources you've provided are not considered independent nor reliable. Try magazine or online media articles, but from respected press, that which is edited and reviewed. Also, make sure they are full citations, with the name of the article's author, date, etc. Also, to see whether the artist fulfils notability, have a look at WP:NMUSIC. Please let me know what may still need to be corrected to post my article and attached images.

I hope this e-mail finds you well.

I am new to Wikipedia. If you would, please let me know specifically what all still needs to be verified with my article and what specifically may still need to be edited or deleted in order for my article to finally be submitted. This has been a very frustrating process thus far. My business, Rebecca Lindsey, LLC is already listed on a Wiki forum and an article about my Producer, Charlie Craig, with a link to an article written about me is already on Wikipedia.

Last night I submitted the requested evidence as well to show copyright ownership.

to permissions-co.

Johan,

With the exception of submitted photos Rebecca 3.jpg, which is a public newspaper article, and 1275_63647791368_7553_n.jpg, which is an Orlando Matters public news article, the authors and photographers for all submitted photographs were employed by Rebecca Lindsey, LLC through work-for-hire, and as such Rebecca Lindsey, LLC owns all submitted work (photos: Rebecca 1.jpg, 1275_63642536368_6299_n.jpg, 1275_63644226368_3291_n.jpg).

To note, Rebecca 2.jpg was an article my work-for-hire Publicist (a Rebecca Lindsey, LLC employee) wrote about me performing at Charlie-palooza. Because the article written was by an individual employed as work-for-hire by Rebecca Lindsey, LLC, Rebecca Lindsey, LLC owns the work.

Photo Rebecca 4.jpg: The photographer was employed by Rebecca Lindsey, LLC through work-for-hire. The work is the product of the entity (Rebecca Lindsey, LLC) who hired it to be done. Thus, the work-for-hire concept is an exception to copyright law, in which the work is owned by the creator. Therefore, the employer—not the employee—is considered the legal author.

In regards to Rebecca 3.jpg, which is a public newspaper article, and 1275_63647791368_7553_n.jpg, which was an Orlando Matters public news article, the "fair use" exemption to (U.S.) copyright law was created to allow things such as commentary, parody, news reporting, research and education about copyrighted works without the permission of the author. That's vital so that copyright law doesn't block your freedom to express your own works.

Fair use is a complex doctrine meant to allow certain valuable social purposes.

Under the fair use doctrine of the U.S. copyright statute, it is permissible to use limited portions of a work including quotes, for purposes such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, and scholarly reports. There are no legal rules permitting the use of a specific number of words, a certain number of musical notes, or percentage of a work. Whether a particular use qualifies as fair use depends on all the circumstances. See FL 102, Fair Use, and Circular 21, Reproductions of Copyrighted Works by Educators and Librarians.

There's a list of submissions here, which you can browse by date of submission. When the submission is reviewed, you'll be notified in your talk page. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 23:47, 11 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

My author page is declined. Please guide me.

Hi FoCuSandLeArN,

I am a new author and my book is coming at the end of 2013 year. I want to create a wiki page as a author. Can you please guide me why my references are not reliable. It would be very helpful if you guide or give valuable suggestions to me.

Thanks. Geva. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gevasalerno (talkcontribs) 18:50, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello there. First of all autobiographies are strongly discouraged. At Wikipedia, notability is very important, and is established through extensive coverage in independent and reliable sources, such as print media, books or journals, etc. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 20:48, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Carnegie Cricket Club article

Hi there,

I have just received a message to say my article has been rejected because it contains copyright material. It does not. It is my own work. Now I can't find it -- has it been deleted?

Student Association at Binghamton University Page Submission

Hello,

I am currently the webmaster for the Student Association at Binghamton University and the newly elected Speaker of the Congress. As part of my responsibilities includes increasing the visibility for the Association, I am curious to know what I can do to improve our past submissions to include a wikipedia entry for the Student Association at Binghamton. I have been informed our previous submissions were denied and I looked them over and added a few things, but any help as to what else is required would be great.

Thank you!

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Gauri Ayyub

Thank you for your suggestions. I had already included several independent sources - which you may have seen under References and Further Reading. There is an entire book (memorial volume) written on her, to which several well known Bengali and Bangladeshi intellectuals have contributed. This is No.1 in Further Reading.

Most of the other sources are in the Bengali Language. Do you suggest; (1) I includes more such sources from Benagali newspapers, periodicals and books?, or (2) Add references to more articles written by the subject herself? Please help...

Pushan a (talk) 06:40, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello there! Yes, I was referring to articles in newspapers, etc about the subject. Make sure you use in-line citations. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 13:36, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Review Josef Kote?

If you have a chance could you review http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Josef_Kote ?? — Preceding unsigned comment added by LeCorbu1987 (talkcontribs) 17:13, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Your comment

Thanks for you comment. For something that is supposed to be so great, I was forced into being an established editor to combat bullies. It is similar to someone learning about how to catch crocodiles by being thrown into water that is infested with them. SL93 (talk) 01:10, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

Yes, it's tough, but there's a few of us good ones left to help each other battle the crocs. That is, of course, until it's still worth fighting for. FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 01:14, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
