Heya!

Hey, FA! I haven't been around the last year (had a kid, he's a sleep terrorist lol) but wanted to check in on you and see how you're doing! <3 PICKLEDICAE🥒 17:30, 11 September 2023 (UTC)

Hi User:Praxidicae / Pickledicae. Just plugging away here!!! Enjoy your lil. They grow up fast!!!
I'd be happy to have help with Draft:John Whipple Potter Jenks or on any other of my kany drafts. But no worries and have fun. Thanks for checking in on me!!! Party on. FloridaArmy (talk) 15:19, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
I'll def look in on your drafts. Really hope you're doing well. Some of your articles have led me down a good rabbit hole for lots of amazing black notable individuals that I wouldn't have originally found. In fact, one of your articles is how I discovered Harry Adams (photographer)! If you ever have any ideas for other stuff and need help researching, I have more time to read and bullet point stuff than I do to actually write an article, so feel free to email me! You're a treasure to WP. PICKLEDICAE🥒 15:58, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
Just approved a bunch that are clearly very notable. I don't think you're restricted from editing them, so add the cats if you have time or I can later! PICKLEDICAE🥒 16:25, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
Harry Adams is interesting. Hopefully some of his photos can be added. Those newspapers are important. I tried to work up Draft:Elevator (newspaper), Draft:Eagle-Herald,

Draft:American Catholic Tribune, Draft:The Future Outlook, Draft:Twin-City Herald and Draft:The Weekly Challenger (whose matriarch passed away recently). I do what I can. Did these papers have photogs??? Thanks very much for your generous remarks, helpful edits, and collegiality. FloridaArmy (talk) 16:39, 13 September 2023 (UTC) Challenger

Is Eagle-Herald supposed to be two articles? Sorry, I'm slow on the uptake lately (I have an almost 1 year old who doesn't sleep lol). I have it marked under review but realized it should be two different articles. Am I correct in that? I've accepted quite a few. Wonder if we can create a project of sorts for black/african american media (like Los Angeles Tribune which tried to use the name for an SEO spam project but was originally an African-American paper and has been defunct since the 60s.) Anywho, feel free to respond/ping or whatever. :) PICKLEDICAE🥒 16:26, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
Also I created this, which I know is a little extra work but if you throw up any drafts into this that you need help writing/sourcing, I'd be glad to help as I can. PICKLEDICAE🥒 16:38, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

I found that his name was Abner! I sometimes use ancestry.com to help tie pieces together (not as source of course but pure research tool) which is why I may ask about dob's etc. Anyway, this was a happy little find. I added it the article and created a redirect. I think A.W, is the correct title but feel free to move if you disagree. S0091 (talk) 17:23, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
Nice! Thanks User:S0091. Any interest in Draft:Bowdon College or Draft:Harperville College? FloridaArmy (talk) 18:01, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
You are like a salesperson pushing their wares lol. I'll take a look at Bowdon. :) S0091 (talk) 18:19, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
Bowdon is weird just because it's spelled two ways and was a historic school and state school branch with no sig coverage here. And the other one a governor went to. I find we are missing so much. I suspect we will learn about Bowden, Mississippi and more of the state's history. I think I saw there was a massacre in the town. Anyway, just more rabbit holes. One leads to another.. to another. Thanks. Good luck. FloridaArmy (talk) 18:26, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
When you say it was spelled two different ways, do you mean sources spell the school differently? Oh and it appears it was removed from the state system in 1934ish and closed in 1936ish. There's been books written about it (you found one) but of course no access to them. S0091 (talk) 19:03, 18 September 2023 (UTC)

Racial segregation in the United States

Thank you for your recent edits to Racial segregation in the United States. I was doing some cleanup and noticed that the sections starting with History seem to be no longer in a readable hierarchical assembly since the edits. Might you check it out and do a repair? As it stands, the "History" section is technically empty. Stefen Towers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 19:29, 29 September 2023 (UTC)

Hi! Sorry if I jumped a bit too quickly to revert your edit on Hyper segregation, if you do have a new draft of that section please feel free to replace it. I have since added the appropriate references for the definitions though, which might be helpful for that draft. Cheers, LoomCreek (talk) 17:13, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
