Submission declined on 1 November 2023 by MicrobiologyMarcus (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of films). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. Declined by MicrobiologyMarcus 11 months ago. |
- Comment: Article in its current form does not show that the film demonstrates notability. microbiologyMarcus (petri dish•growths) 19:56, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Second source no longer exists, third source is just a listing. Greenman (talk) 18:15, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- I think you mean the first source no longer exists. The second seems okay at least for me. FloridaArmy (talk) 18:29, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- An extant 1915 film should be notable. Resubmitting. FloridaArmy (talk) 14:38, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
Colored Villainy is a 1915 American film. It was produced by Mack Sennett.[1] It was directed by Nick Cogley. Charley Parrott portrays the villain. Actors appear in blackface. A late 20th century review describes the film as offensive and unfunny.[2] The Keystone film is extant and available online.[3]
The film features a farmer, his daughter, a suitor, and a traveler. There is beekeeping, pratfalls, and an attempted theft.
