Speedy deletion nomination of People from Longford
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on People from Longford requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Jihadcola (talk) 05:49, 23 June 2012 (UTC)

CCI Notice
[edit]Hello, Finnegas. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Contributor copyright investigations concerning your contributions in relation to Wikipedia's copyrights policy. The listing can be found here. For some suggestions on responding, please see Responding to a CCI case. Thank you. Dpmuk (talk) 19:52, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- Of relevance here is that copyight violations are not allowed anywhere on wikipedia - this includes user space. This is why I've just deleted 4 of your drafts and asked for this investigation. Dpmuk (talk) 19:52, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry for the very late reply to your post on my user page - I went away for thanksgiving week just after starting the CCI and your post somehow escaped my attention upon my return. User:Moonriddengirl has dealt with Edward O'Grady by revision deleting the copyvio versions - which is, I think, what you wanted done. If you have any other questions feel free to post on my talk page, where I should notice sooner this time! Dpmuk (talk) 07:33, 6 December 2012 (UTC)

[edit]I'll certainly take a look at it, but it will probably be at the weekend, hope that's OK. He was a very interesting character. His Royal Ascot winner was the unusually named A.20 (you can't use digits in horse names anymore) in the 1958 Queen Mary Stakes. She was ridden by Bill Rickaby, owned by H. Clifton, and started at odds of 5/1. [1] Tigerboy1966 23:02, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

[edit]This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on other people again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. This comment is an egrerious personal attack; especially when compounded with your choice of photo caption here. Regardless of what any other editors may or may not have done torwards you, there is no "an eye for an eye" policy, and if you refer to other editors in such a manner again you will be blocked. The Bushranger One ping only 06:32, 26 January 2013 (UTC) Fair enough. Would you be interested in warning User:The Banner and User:Laurel Lodged who keep refering to me as Brocach's sidekick.Finnegas (talk) 09:51, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- Please desist from further changes to GAA related articles until the discussion at the Project is finished. In fact, why not join that discussion. If not, you'll find yourself the subject of a WP:AN nomination yourself. Laurel Lodged (talk) 11:48, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- I heartily agree that Laurel Lodged and The Banner are behaving unacceptably by implying that there is some sort of sockpuppetry or conspiracy going on just because two editors independently disagree with them. Brocach (talk) 20:50, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks Brocach, I think we should report both users for personal attacks on us. We have been described as barbarians [1]. Its not acceptable I got a final warning for describing User The Banner as Laurel Logded's lapdog. Finnegas (talk) 21:01, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

Peace offer (copy from WP:ANI page)

Final warning of indefinite block
[edit] PLEASE STOP.
Yesterday I posted this warning at AN/I that I would block anyone making further edits to change, rename or otherwise affect categorisation of GAA-related articles. You made several further edits after that time and were it not for the fact that you have not edited for some hours, I would now be blocking you. However please understand that if you make any further edits of this sort, I will block you indefinitely even if you are not actively editing (ie even if I only become aware of your edits some hours later). Note that indefinite does not mean permanent, and I or any other admin would happily unblock on an assurance from you that you will not make any further edits of that sort until a consensus is reached. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 10:32, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
- I was unaware such a warning was in place and I will cease to edit the GAA pages until a decision is made one way or another. Finnegas (talk) 22:22, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

- Then you are up the creek without a paddle. I see these all the time at OTRS - there is no access of any kind to the username table. They only way is with a registered e-mail address where you can get a password reset (I suspect the passwords are not stored - just a hash of the password).
