Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2015–16 Honduran Cup, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Independiente. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Thanks for creating 1980 Honduran Segunda División, Fifaddicted!

Wikipedia editor Hydronium Hydroxide just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Could you please add appropriate wikiprojects -- in this case {{WP Football}} to the talk page of articles you create. I haven't removed the non-existent template, but it might be cleaner to either create these first (if you already know which pages you'll be creating) or adding these after they have been created.

Non-existent categories

[edit]

Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Rigoberto Padilla, please make sure that the category page actually exists. In some cases, it may be appropriate to create a new category in accordance with Wikipedia's categorization guidelines, but it is usually better to use the most specific available existing category. It is never appropriate to leave a page categorised in a non-existent category, i.e. one whose link displays in red. You may find it helpful to use the gadget HotCat, which tests whether a category exists before saving a change. Thank you. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:29, 9 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That's good, I'll re-add the statistics to the article now. In the future it would be best to add the source alongside your statistical update - otherwise they'll likely be reverted. As for your own records, they're aren't able to be used on Wikipedia for fairly obvious reasons. Wikipedia:Reliable sources provides a good understanding of sourcing on Wikipedia. An article you recently created, 2019–20 in Honduran football, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Notice

The article Copa Ciclón has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This friendly match only got routine coverage and does not meet WP:GNG. Worth noting that it seemed to get less coverage than the average Costa Rican or Honduran league fixture. While it had a cool nickname, that doesn't, in itself, make it notable enough for an article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

A tag has been placed on Category:Honduran football friendly trophies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! 1965–66 C.D. Motagua season moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, 1965–66 C.D. Motagua season, is not suitable as written to remain published.
