Hello Farah,

I've noticed that recently you and a few other editors have been creating articles on Arabic novels by translating already existing ones on the Arab Wiki. Great initiative! Unfortunately, I've had to draftify the majority of these articles due to the lack of citations from reliable sources, as well as the excessive detail and original research they contain. You might also want to take a look at Wikipedia:TIE, and familiarize yourself with what a reliable source is (WP:RS).

That being said, I don't want to discourage you! I'd recommend assessing the book's notability before creating the article (see WP:NOTBOOK). I'd also recommend gathering your sources before you start writing the article. Any claim in the article that is not verified by a reliable source will be removed. Avoid excessive detail and original research (see WP:SYNTH). Check out a few similar existing articles. While they are more than likely not perfect, they can help you gauge the general layout and content of such articles.

It'd be best if you submit your articles for review at AfC instead of publishing them directly on the mainspace. That way you'll get a bit of constructive criticism and advice if the article is not up to par, and any articles that do meet the standards will be accepted. By draftfying your articles, I am simply allowing you to develop and improve them as drafts until they are ready for the mainspace. Otherwise, they'd most likely be deleted. Thanks for the article! Usually, we need the general notability guideline to be met (WP:GNG), which is a guideline that decides which articles are suitable to be included on Wikipedia. The shortlist for the award probably counts as one reliable, significant, independent ref, but others are less so. This is an iffy site that is purely a plot overview and author description, whereas this ref is probably reliable (see WP:RS) but another trivial mention. Other refs are all from the same Arab Fiction website, which counts as one ref as it's from the same organisation. This is a general overview on the book with background on the Hamas. But the issue is that it mainly covers the award and has quotes from the author, but not really much critical commentary. The only possible route for this article to meet the book notability guideline (WP:NBOOK) IMO is the guideline that if it won a major literary award, it should have a page. The award could be major despite it not having a WP article, as tons of refs covered it. The problem, though, is that this book was shortlisted instead of winning the award, so this isn't met, IMHO. With the notability borderline, I'll tag it for now.
