[edit]Hello FanniSomlyai (OSA). The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Verzió International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:FanniSomlyai (OSA). The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=FanniSomlyai (OSA)|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:39, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- Dear DoubleGarzing,
- Thank you for your feedback on this article.
- I am not paid for the article. However, I am related to the organization which is why I registered by the name "Fanni Somlyai (OSA)".
- The article has already a few times received a feedback of not having enough secondary sources as references, however, all of these references are from magazines, newspapers, etc. as it was required by editors before:
- https://filmkultura.hu/regi/2005/articles/reviews/verzio2.hu.html FanniSomlyai (OSA) (talk) 10:02, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- (continuing my reply here, as I hit enter by mistake)

- Thanks for your quick response. Even if you're not explicitly paid to edit this article, since you are employed by an organisation connected to the subject, that still very much counts as paid editing. Please make the necessary formal disclosure now before any further editing. Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:10, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- "Please make the necessary formal disclosure now before any further editing."
- Can you please help me how to do that?
- The organization's name is already included in the user name, what else could be done? FanniSomlyai (OSA) (talk) 10:12, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- It isn't enough to mention the organisation's name in your username, you must make an express formal declaration on your user page. The original message in this thread provides instructions for doing that. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:15, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- Ok, thank you, I'll try to include that declaration. FanniSomlyai (OSA) (talk) 10:27, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, I am getting back to you regarding a question about the edits of this article. You asked me previously to add a disclosure to my user page that I am related to the organization of which the article is about: I have done that now on my user page. I have also got another question connected to this: when creating this page, we were informed that Wikipedia pages about GLAM institutions' collections, objects, and activities can be edited by staff members of the mentioned organizations and this complies with Wikipedia's editing rule, because such pages are contributions about culturally significant objects, phemomenon, events, etc. I used to create this article with this knowledge too. Could you please reflect on this question please? FanniSomlyai (OSA) (talk) 10:51, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

- When drafting the article, I attempted to follow the format of other Wikipedia articles on a similar topic to this one (film festivals) to help me structure the content. Such as this page, for example: International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam. From my point of view, this latter article is very similar to my draft in content, structure, references, links, etc. Could you advise me what you see as the main point of difference between this article and my draft, and what are the spots that could still be improved, please? The only advice I have received so far is to use secondary sources as references, however, all of these links that I included in my reply are secondary sources, so I am lost at this point as to what could still be wrong.
- Thank you for your support. FanniSomlyai (OSA) (talk) 10:10, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- The FilmKultura source doesn't work. The Cafe Babel may be a secondary source, but the article in question is an interview, which makes it primary. I'm not sure about the Beszelo one, I have doubts about its reliability and independence, but in any case it alone isn't enough.
- As for comparing this draft with other articles that may exist, that is a red herring, as drafts are not judged in comparison to other articles, but rather by reference to the currently applicable guidelines and policies. You may have noticed that the IDFFA article has been flagged as being inadequately referenced, so it certainly is not something you want to model yours after. If you wish to follow the lead of other articles, you should only look at ones that have been assessed as 'good articles'. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:23, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
- I have just checked now, and it doesn't work for me either - but I think it must be some temporary error. Filmkultúra is major, reliable film magazine (these articles cited here are the digitized versions of older articles). It should be fine as a source, I hope their website will come back to life soon.
- Thank you very much for the "good articles" link. I have checked one, here: Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 and it also looks very similar to me in terms of content, structure, and links. FanniSomlyai (OSA) (talk) 10:33, 13 April 2023 (UTC)
