Extra Credit_Bonus Point_AYDP
1. What your experience was like (overall) with this Wikipedia course assignment. I had a very positive experience from this extra credit assignment. For a very long time, I had been an information seeker and taker to the Wikipedia. I never thought I could be an information provider and contributor. It is interesting to see how each article on Wiki is created and how much efforts as well as writers were there behind each article. 2. What you learned. I learned how to assign, edit, improve a Wiki article from the scratch. I also learned that how Wiki defines a good article and reliable source. Instead of blindly creating contents on the web page, like what I thought Wikipedia would do, there are so many rules and restrictions to ensure the quality of the information here. I also learned that there is no perfect article. Each article needs continuously improvements by the Wiki community. 3. Why / why not you intend to continue editing on Wikipedia. I would like to continue watch and edit my interested topics, such as mergers and acquisitions. First, after this series of assignment I know how to edit things on Wiki. So the entry barrier has been resolved. In addition, it is valuable for me to see new theories, analysis, or data brought by other people on the topic that we are all interested in. AYDP (talk) 02:27, 7 October 2018 (UTC)AYDP
- Nice reflection on this AYDP. Do you envision maintaining editing and contributing to Wikipedia? --- FULBERT (talk) 19:32, 8 October 2018 (UTC)

Extra Credit - Week Six BONUS, HSLMASY
Overall I had a very positive experience with the Wikipedia course assignment. It was daunting at first, and I also had my doubts about Wikipedia after seeing how anyone could learn and edit. It is definitely a time commitment, but I'm quite amazed and inspired by the engagement of the editor community to produce and update the platform with the best information they can find. I relearned I can trust what I find on Wikipedia, and although I can't say I'll be editing on a weekly basis, I do plan on contributing if/when it makes sense and will benefit others. Really appreciate the usefulness of this extra credit! HSLMASY (talk) 01:45, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback on this HSLMASY; hope you continue this as you develop your own levels of additional expertise in the future! --- FULBERT (talk) 19:38, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

My overall experience with this Wikipedia course assignment is good. There is clear instruction on each step. Extra Credit – Final Bonus_ Tianyuan Guo
1. What your experience was like (overall) with this Wikipedia course assignment. I feel that these assignments are really interesting because it was the first time I tried to edit and post information on the online public resource website like Wikipedia. In the past I was used to grab free information from Wiki and very appreciated people who posted so many precise and helpful articles online. This time I become one of them! This inspired me a lot because my work could help other people.
2. What you learned.
I have enriched my knowledge when I was reading articles and finding extra information. I have also learned how important citations are. We should not use random information, or images found on search engines or social media. It is really crucial that information we post and read has reliability and validity.
3. Why / why not you intend to continue editing on Wikipedia.
I will definitely continue editing on Wikipedia. Some terms that I am interested in were not found in Wiki. Therefore, I will create new pages and write articles about new terms.Crystalg923 (talk) 01:15, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

Bonus Extra Credit, pdl272 (Paolo)
- My experience with the Extra Credit assignment was pleasant overall, I was was doubtful that I would be able to allocate enough time to complete it but I managed to. - I learned that Wikipedia articles are more accurate and trustworthy than the general public perceives them to be, especially undergraduate professors. - I do plan to contribute to Wikipedia in the future because I realized that my topic of interests are not properly developed on the site.Pdl272 (talk) 05:14, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for sharing your final thoughts on this. Identifying an area to edit is most useful when it is an area you know something about and have a passion for making sure it is accurately and reliably represented on Wikipedia Pdl272. --- FULBERT (talk) 20:53, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

- Welcome to Wikipedia Yq712. How do you find it so far? --- FULBERT (talk) 12:49, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
You started a new section Dvcap but there was no message. Can you reply here and add one? --- FULBERT (talk) 12:45, 3 November 2018 (UTC) Hi professor, this is my check in message for assignment of the Week One: Wikipedia 101Dvcap (talk) 13:45, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
- One convention in Wikipedia editing is to add a colon at the beginning of your response, [[User:Dvcap|], as that indents it. Makes it easier to read since this is so text based. See how I did this with the reply. --- FULBERT (talk) 14:46, 3 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi Professor, just dropping by to say hello! Kmas 77 (talk) 02:14, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
- Welcome Kmas 77! All current for the first week, so welcome to Wikipedia. Two things, as this system is primarily text-based, you do not need to have comments that have breaks or such for paragraphs, so keep things as a written narrative without them. Also, you do not have to use your name in the section title; feel free to just use your Wiki User name. You can edit that here if you wish. Thanks! ---FULBERT (talk) 13:49, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
- Great edit to the title Kmas 77! --- FULBERT (talk) 20:03, 4 November 2018 (UTC)

- This looks fine Kmas 77. Good thinking in it. One thing -- you do not need to skip lines or use names other than a Wiki User: name in the postings on Wikipedia, and I edited both of them in my reply to you here. Can you please go and make a similar change to your next post, and then I will review your work on it? --- FULBERT (talk) 12:46, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
