List of countries by military expenditure

It seems the crazy British editor who's been for years trying to show that the UK spends more on military expenditures than France is back. And as usual, using all sorts of sockpuppets (this time: User:BlackHades, User:Bro5990; the previous times he was known as User:Aogouguo, User: Signsolid, User:Usergreatpower, and several others, all of which have been banned for sockpupettry). 90.35.111.97 (talk) 23:10, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

And two more sockpuppets from this crazy British editor (User:SuperDan89 and User:Guasdiof)! Also check this comment by one of his sockpuppets, it's priceless: [1] I've already reported all these sockpuppets to the admins, but it usually takes a long time before they do any sockpuppet check. PS: In case you wonder, I don't log in under my account name because that crazy guy has harassed me badly in the past, I had to create a new account, so now I prefer to remain anonymous when I deal with him and his sockpuppets. If you need more information on him, let me know here. 86.217.119.122 (talk) 02:56, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

I have removed the TfD tag from {{User en-BN}}. I did this because you didn't nominate it at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2010 January 13. If you still think it should be deleted, feel free to retag it and nominate it at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2024 November 13. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 12:11, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

South African Wikimedia Chapter

Hi FFMG. The idea of setting up a local Wikimedia chapter has been discussed by South African Wikipedians (and those associated with other Wikimedia projects) for some time now, and we want to help turn this dream into a reality. There are currently over 25 chapters established around the world, and several more planned and being discussed, but so far, none in Africa. A South African chapter, should it become a reality, would be a continental first. If you're interested in being involved in the creation of a South African Wikimedia Chapter, could you please email me directly :). Thanks and have a nice day, Kaydee 68 (talk) 09:05, 10 June 2010 (UTC)

South African Wikimedia Chapter update and mailing list

Hi there. Local Wikipedians have set up a mailing list where we will be discussing the formation of a local Wikimedia Chapter in South Africa. Please join the mailing list at this url https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikimediaza. There is also a page set up on Meta where you can add your name if you're interested to take this idea forward. Check out http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_South_Africa.
