Alabama governors & lieutenant governors
[edit]Howdy. I know it's rather strange, but Alabama numbers their governors only once, even if they have served non-consecutive terms. While at the same time they multi-number their lieutenant governors who have served non-consecutive terms. That's why the current governor of Alabama is the 54th, while the current lieutenant governor is the 31st. GoodDay (talk) 16:56, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
Important Notice
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Calvin Coolidge
[edit]Hi Ex Facto. Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that your edits to the article have been restored. I reverted them after looking at the most recent one which I mistakenly thought was disruptive. When I caught my error I self reverted and restored all your edits. Thanks for your work on the project. -Ad Orientem (talk) 20:01, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- Why did you revert them? Ex-Facto (talk) 00:52, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- I read your addition of 68th to president of the MA senate. But I only read the 68th president part and missed the rest. It looked like a common type of vandalism with various trolls changing dates and numbers. Once I saw the rest I realized I had jumped too quickly and self reverted. -Ad Orientem (talk) 01:03, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- So you didn't have an issue with my changes then? Ex-Facto (talk) 01:20, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- I haven't really examined them in detail. Though I believe that replacing original images of BLP subjects with colorized copies is frowned on. -Ad Orientem (talk) 01:31, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- I didn't know that. Either way the other changes were that I changes Coolidge's Senate office from "Member of the Massachusetts Senate" to "Member of the Massachusetts Senate from Hampshire County" (and I deleted the "Constituency" listing of that office) as well I did the same thing to his House office to "Member of the Massachusetts House of Representative from the 1st Hampshire District" (again, deleting the "Constituency" listing), after that I included a photo of an original Harding-Coolidge campaign button on the section about the 1920 Presidential election because I thought its a piece of history which would be interesting to see in the article. Ex-Facto (talk) 01:37, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- I see now that "Thewolfchid" reverted all those changes. Any idea why? Ex-Facto (talk) 01:38, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- It looks like something to do with the date of Coolidge's succession to the presidency which has been the subject of debate. Harding died on the 2nd of August but Coolidge did not get word and take the oath office until after midnight. So the question is did he become president immediately when Harding dided, or only after taking the oath of office. I addressed the subject aways back here. -Ad Orientem (talk) 01:43, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- I didn't change anything about that, maybe it's best I just ask him. Thanks for answering all these questions, I appreciate your time! Ex-Facto (talk) 01:47, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- Probably a good idea. If you have any problems or questions feel free to drop me a line. -Ad Orientem (talk) 01:57, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Picture of Christ
[edit]Thank you for uploading an updated picture of Jesus Christ that would mesh better with the one currently at the article for the Virgin Mary. It looks beautiful - God bless you. — That Coptic Guy (talk) 06:15, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
- Well someone reverted it, unfortunately, I don't see why, I thought the one by Hoffman was better. But thank you, I appreciate the encouragement. Ex-Facto (talk) 19:52, 5 October 2022 (UTC)
