Better source request for some of your uploads
[edit]Thanks for your uploads to Wikipedia. There is an issue with some of them, specifically:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the images because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the images, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image files themselves. Please update the image descriptions with URLs that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 03:09, 18 April 2014 (UTC)

- No, copy & paste move is a no go, and is certainly not covered by WP:BOLD/ If there is consensus to move it, I can easily do it, but I guess at least the user who previuos;y moved it would disagree, so that we need a discussion. [edit]Can you help me with the article Armenians? An IP address user is changing the page without citations. When i revert the user undo's my revert. They claim there are 200,000 Armenians in Russia, even though the source says its 200,000 in Iran and they claim there are from 3-5 million Armenians in Iran, when the source is for Russia. They also changed the total number of Armenians from 8 to 13 without any sources. I do not want to get involved in an edit war, i sent a message to one of the moderator's but they have not responded yet, can you take a look at the article? Deportation of Armenian intellectuals on 24 April 1915
[edit]Hi Etienne,
Great job with the Deportation of Armenian intellectuals on 24 April 1915 article! I look forward to seeing it up on the main page. As far as I know, making the date relevance for an article explicit in the blurb is unprecedented, and I would recommend against it. You are free to suggest it at TFLS, but I think it unlikely that other editors will be in favour of doing so. I hope you choose to raise more articles up to FL status.

[edit]Do you have an issue with my edits? --Steverci (talk) 01:13, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- Yes I do. Ivan the Terrible is not Armenian. Étienne Dolet (talk) 01:45, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- He was
- Leo I, King of Armenia > Isabella, Queen of Armenia > Leo II, King of Armenia > Rita of Armenia > Andronikos III Palaiologos > John V Palaiologos > Manuel II Palaiologos > Thomas Palaiologos > Sophia Palaiologina > Vasili III of Russia > Ivan the Terrible
- I wouldn't put him in a list of Armenians in general, but in terms of a list native to Russia, this is pretty notable. --Steverci (talk) 02:16, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- That would be like putting Princess Diana as an Armenian but worse. Étienne Dolet (talk) 02:23, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- Like I said, I wouldn't put either on the Armenians article, but in terms of Armenians in Russia, why not? I don't see the resemblance. Diana had a distant Armenian relative, Ivan is the heir to an Armenian Kingdom. --Steverci (talk) 14:20, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- Since you haven't responded I'm going to put my edits back. I hope you can accept the fact everyone on it is a prominent Russian with an Armenian background. I was also wondering if you could give me your e-mail so I can tell you something. --Steverci (talk) 02:26, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

Extermination[example needed] camps - why I made the request
[edit]Hello. I added the request for examples as although the section is titled 'Extermination Camps' (immediately suggestive of the Nazi camps designed specifically for that process), there isn't nearly enough in the subsequent paragraph that clearly illustrates an actual process of extermination, or gives examples of such an extermination process. The named camps in the paragraph are specifically indicated as having distinct, non-exterminatory purposes, so strictly speaking there aren't examples within the paragraph as you stated. The opening sentence referring to camps set up to 'dispose' of those who survived the deportations might imply killing (without giving any detail) but to 'dispose of' in English is ambiguous in meaning without further information. The citation given for this sentence is indeed titled 'L'Extermination Des Déportés Arméniens Ottomans Dans Les Camps De Concentration De Syrie-Mésopotamie'. There's a great deal to read through there, in French, but I see (if my French is good enough!) there are detailed examples within section 5 of the extermination of large numbers of prisoners in camps, but you have to (a) read French and (b) search through a lot of text to find them. It would surely be wise for someone who covers this topic to extract clear examples from this source and put them within the body of this paragraph in English, as it's such an important issue to cover in detail. It seems very odd to give a section this title (which immediately demands comparisons with Nazi extermination camps), and then not illustrate it properly. Lewvalton (talk) 00:33, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- Lewvalton (talk · contribs) Perhaps we can change it from "Extermination camps" to "Concentration camps". But I'd highly suggest you present your case at the talk page of the Armenian Genocide article. Étienne Dolet (talk) 02:37, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
