Orphaned non-free image (Image:BattleFrontier.jpeg)

Thanks for uploading Image:BattleFrontier.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:46, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Battle Frontier

I have recognized that recreations of it are not exact copies, and I have nominated it twice already – see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Battle Pike and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Battle Frontier (Pokémon Emerald). If you think the article has improved, open a review at WP:DRV. hbdragon88 22:59, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

No, not true. DRV is the only proper venue for deletion or undeletion. For instance, Emmalina was undeleted through a DRV. hbdragon88 23:47, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Specifically: Deletion Review also is to be used if significant new information has come to light since a deletion and the information in the deleted article would be useful to write a new article. hbdragon88 23:48, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

your disagreement with AL2TP over Battle Frontier

I have left a similar msg on AL2TP's talk page. While outright reversal of your version seems a little harsh (i'm a little inclusionist), and his comments may have been incindiery, i think he was referring to this part of WP:CSD#G4:

"any revisions made clearly do not address the reasons for which the page was deleted."

The article was deleted because there was almost no content that was usable by a person not playing the game. Many of your edits merely added gameguide-ish factoids about locations and pokemon lists (few non-players care if you can't use Mewtwo... it would have been enough to say that several powerful pokemon are excluded). Take a look at WP:WAF and, i hate to say it, WP:CRUFT. In general, lists are bad, descriptions are okay. But what's missing is real-world context. Like, maybe improve the section on the anime, telling us which episode and airdate Scott appeared in the US. Was there any review that talked about the Battle Frontier in more than a descriptive manner? B/c you made significant changes, but didn't really fix any of the problems, i recommended that AL2TP submit your version to AFD so you two can just sit back and let other people hash it out and that way you don't have to war over it. However, I'm sure that if you were going to significantly improve the article, taking out gameguide materials and removing the OR-ish adjectives like "odd", he would compromise to wait a week or so to give you time to see if you can make enough changes to make it into a satisfactory article. -ΖαππερΝαππερ BabelAlexandria 16:12, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

WP:POKE is doing some housecleaning

This notice is to inform you that because many people have added their names to Wikipedia:WikiProject Pokémon#Participants but do not seem to be active, all names are being deleted in an effort to find out who is still truly interested in the project. All you have to do is re-add your name if you'd still like to be considered a member of WP:POKE. Any questions, you can contact me on my talk page. -ΖαππερΝαππερ BabelAlexandria 17:39, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Collaboration of the Fortnight

Hello, I'm really happy to see some interest in the Collaboration of the Fortnight. It is basically one article picked every two weeks (a fortnight) for the members of the WikiProject (or anyone really) to work on and really improve. The collaboration right now is Adam Clayton, it is in really bad shape. If you've got any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask! 15:30, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Nenenerod.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 13:26, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
