Southern Voice and It's a Business Doing Pleasure with You
[edit]- Wasn't it way too early to create an article on "It's a Business Doing Pleasure with You"? The song's article's fine, but you should wait until it charts before you create an article on it. I was going to redirect it until it charts, but the fact that i create song articles early myself (usually once they chart), it would have been unusual for me, so i just left it alone. Anyway, i understand why you redirected the album article. Ryanbstevens (talk) 22:55, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
I'll try to add his Canadian peaks next weekend. Eric444 (talk) 06:52, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
Response
[edit]Here is what WP:Record charts says: The number of charts should include no more than 10 official national charts, and up to 10 additional or secondary charts, but no more than 18 charts total.
Country and AC charts are consider "additional or secondary charts". Official national charts are always all genre chart. Thus we can include NZ charts.
Can you give me a reason that CHR chart (Top 40 Mainstream) should not be listed? And please give me the reason why AC chart should be listed. Your own reason please, not somebody else's.
I have create a new Billboard inclusion table here. The other table has so many mistakes. Langdon (talk) 16:26, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
"The Good Lord and the Man"
[edit]- As you should know already, "The Good Lord and the Man" is a current single, and thus it might get higher than "Another You" did. If "The Good Lord and the Man" doesn't get any higher, it'll probably be redirected. I can't make an article on a non-top 40 hit unless it's a current single. Again, you should understand this already. "The Good Lord and the Man" might get redirected today until it gets high enough, and if i had created an article on "Another You" (which despite being overlapped by "Shuttin' Detroit Down", it did not make the top 40), it would have been redirected back to the album article. Like i said, you should understand the procedure of the way that things like this go. If you don't, then contact Ten Pound Hammer, and he might tell you what i'm trying to say. Picture
[edit]There's no reason you can't add more pictures. If the pictures are clear and cropped, it would probably better for the infobox, since the one for Blake is kind of blurry and the one for Aaron has someone else in the picture too. BRC Discography
[edit]I usually post in the table only the Top markets in the world, but with Billy Ray is different. In some top markets like UK, France and Germany he has got only Some Gave All charted and is not very good to leave only those when in other minor markets has got more albums charted. SimoneJ. (talk) 21:59, 02 August 2009 (UTC)
We can to post a note that redirects to the France, Germany (also if these are the top markets. Only Some Gave All is charted it. We can do an ecception) and Austria Charts like The Other Side for Billboard Christian Chart. Sorry for my English, i'm Italian :) SimoneJ. (talk) 22:07, 02 August 2009 (UTC)

A Little Past Little Rock
[edit]Lol, thanks much! That completely went over my head. I copy-pasted it from "Last Call" and all I remembered to do was change the peak positions! CloversMallRat (talk) 20:23, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
To Say Goodbye
[edit]Thanks! I'm glad you think I do a good job... and I really love this song, so I pray that it charts... although, I really think it will - there seems to be a nice amount of buzz going around about it, especially with it having its own website lol. CloversMallRat (talk) 20:38, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- I've noticed that on Joey + Rory's MySpace, when "To Say Goodbye" plays it shows a single cover next to it... but I dunno how to get it so I can put it on Wikipedia. If you could help, that'd be fantastic! CloversMallRat (talk) 20:55, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Done. Did you ever look into DjVu? I wouldn't be able to add Canadian peaks either if I hadn't downloaded it. Of course, it would be a lot easier if the RPM archive was as easy to search as Billboard. Eric444 (talk) 09:02, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Pop 100
[edit]Don't take it personally, but please avoid the Pop 100 column on artist discographies if only 1 chart peak was obtained prior to its end - ie: Lady Antebellum or Kellie Pickler. Its much better to use a notation, otherwise the columns look quite unsightly and the Pop 100 isn't really needed at all... especially now that nothing further will make appearances. BRC Discography
[edit]The album charts look terrible now... there's waaayyyy too many listed, some of them (like France and at least 2 or 3 others) need to go. It looks like a hot mess... too stretched and single-peak charts like France aren't necessary for the chart (they should be saved for the respective album page). CloversMallRat (talk) 02:36, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yep, thats why I asked you... 'cause I really don't wanna take the feat on, it looked a little more complicated than I wanted it to be. Lol. CloversMallRat (talk) 02:39, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- Don't worry - no footnote is required for album charts such as those... sometimes its used for a single chart peak in say the U.S. Indie or U.S. Heatseakers... but seperate countries can simply just be found in the album article's chart. Big pop stars (like Britney Spears) often chart in like 25 different countries... but only maybe 6 or so represented on the discography. But, no footnote is present. CloversMallRat (talk) 02:44, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- I didn't - I was too afraid of making a small error and having the chart look all crazy lol. CloversMallRat (talk) 02:46, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

BRC Sales Numbers
[edit]Whoa! This is awesome, just what we'd been wanting! Now I know how much he sold of each album =D CloversMallRat (talk) 02:47, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well Back to Tennessee sold like 14,000 and debuted at #13 on the country charts... there's a possibility that Time Flies (which peaked at #56) sold so few they might not even know how many copies. I estimate that with a peak that low it was probably only on the chart 1 week... I'd be surprised if it sold more than 500 copies. CloversMallRat (talk) 02:54, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Meh, I'm still kinda iffy on their new system... I've seen a couple #1 country singles that had dashes for how many weeks they were on (which makes no sense). Why does it say Love Songs charted for 1 week at #63? Isn't the country chart only 60 positions? lol! CloversMallRat (talk) 03:05, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, well that changes everything! I thought that peaking at #56 meant it was right on the edge of falling off. Now it all makes sense to me. Lol! I'm curious to learn some of the album sales of other artists I like... do you know how I can do that? CloversMallRat (talk) 03:08, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- It looks like at the top it says you can email him... so I might just do that, 'cause I'm dying to know. CloversMallRat (talk) 03:15, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- Deana Carter... since like Billy Ray, after her first album she went downhill fast and I don't know how well her albums sold due to lack of certifications. She's the main one... but I could probably think of more. CloversMallRat (talk) 03:24, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

"Sing" - Wynonna Judd
[edit]I finally made the article for "Sing." I apologize for the incredibly-long delay on the article, but I finally made one =) I had a hard time finding a lot of information about it, but I did the best that I could, I'm sorry. Perhaps you might know more information the song. Again I apologize for the delay, I have been wrapped up in making all of the articles for Connie Smith's albums (she recorded 33 studio albums, plus 12 compilations, and more) so I have been doing that for a good two weeks now, but I finally made all the articles on her discography. Dottiewest1fan (talk) 23:22, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- OoOh maybe I will give it a listen. I'm really not a Wynonna fan whatsoever (her diet pill commercial makes me laugh lol) but I listened to the "Sing" remixes on iTunes and it sounded pretty good so I think I will. Thanks :) Dottiewest1fan (talk) 23:46, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

Bad News for Billy Ray
[edit]It looks like Lyric Street just showed Billy Ray Cyrus the door. =( CloversMallRat (talk) 21:05, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
- Caldorwards, I believe, pointed it out in his discography page. He edited the "current single" tag off, saying that the Lyric Street website no longer shows him as an artist - which it doesn't. Despite this though, the single moved up to #59 this week. However, I imagine next week the single will fall off. CloversMallRat (talk) 22:09, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think so... that wouldn't make sense. He was on Lyric Street because it was Disney's Country label... and the only reason he's even getting even a little success on the charts was because of Disney. The label probably dropped him because they were unsatisfied with the performance of his latest album. CloversMallRat (talk) 22:15, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
- No clue, he's been on a ton of different labels and hasn't had much success with any of them. Such a shame radio won't play him, he's got a very slim chance of ever having a hit again (without Miley Cyrus' help). CloversMallRat (talk) 22:25, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think he'll have any commercial success on his own label like Toby Keith does. CloversMallRat (talk) 22:31, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Jewel discography
[edit]I will sometime this week, but I really don't understand why you split her singles tables. I understand that it is long, but they really should not be split. Brother Clyde
[edit]Interesting. I hope this turns out to be a good thing. And this is probably the reason why he and Lyric Street parted ways. So now it seems there's an answer to the confusion. CloversMallRat (talk) 20:48, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
- Lol, I don't think Brad Paisley would do that, since he's already having plenty of solo success. I'm interested to see if this group can hit it big with country radio since they aren't playing songs by "Billy Ray Cyrus" ... this is clever. CloversMallRat (talk) 16:16, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- I wonder if its going to be like Gloriana or Little Big Town with the four-part harmonies, or more like Rascal Flatts with a lead singer. If they go the lead-singer route, it should be Billy Ray lol. CloversMallRat (talk) 16:21, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
