Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, EdinburghRoss, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Writing about yourself is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians.

As this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them. A page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to or change it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Hi TimTrent,
Thanks for responding to my article submission, and so promptly too.
You're right that it is an article about myself from IMDb, although I don't think copyright is infringed because I wrote and submitted the IMDb article a few months ago. Prior to IMDb, I'd tried valiantly to submit the article to Wikipedia but, alas, it was turned down a couple of times due to lack of citations. I have, however, remedied that with this morning's submission; there are citations at the bottom.
I wonder, is the article suitable for publication now with these citations? I must confess I rely on an expert such as yourself to take it over the line because I struggle greatly with Wikipedia's submission process.
An alternative, if you desire, is for a Wikipedia editor to start from scratch on the article. I would be happy to provide Wikipedia with links to newspaper and website interviews with me.
Again, many thanks for helping.
