Earl Okine
Hello, I am fairly new to this but I have credible source that Earl Okine has retired from football and is back in school, thanks for listening Eagles247! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Southernschollyy (talk • contribs) 19:15, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Southernschollyy: What would that source be? Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:18, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- his agent Chris Martin of OTG agency based in Chicago — Preceding unsigned comment added by Southernschollyy (talk • contribs) 17:58, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Southernschollyy: Can you provide a link to that? All information on Wikipedia is based on verifiability (see link for more), and we need published evidence to confirm it exists. Eagles 24/7 (C) 18:01, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- Would it need to be a social media post or something similar? I do not think any of his previous teams would publish anything about him retiring — Preceding unsigned comment added by Southernschollyy (talk • contribs) 18:38, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Southernschollyy: A social media post from a verified account (from his or his agency's accounts, etc.) would suffice as a reliable source in this case. In any event, it's generally understood that if a player has not signed with a team in over a year they can be considered no longer active, so by February 2022 the page could be updated to say he's a "former" player even without a formal retirement statement. Downgrade protection requests
Can you please remove the protection from Robert Griffin III, Vince Young and Jerod Mayo? I think there's no need to keep these pages protected anymore. Wilsun89 (talk) 01:22, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Wilsun89: Done. Eagles 24/7 (C) 16:01, 4 June 2021 (UTC)

Hello, sorry to bother you. Can you please remove this edit? Thank you. --Ashleyyoursmile! 19:41, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
IPPP category
I'm thinking having a category for players who participated in the International Player Pathway Program could be warranted. My question is what should it be called? Category:International Player Pathway Program participants? ~ Dissident93 (talk) 22:44, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Dissident93: That's a good idea, and yeah that sounds like an appropriate name. Eagles 24/7 (C) 23:07, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
Help request
Could you help me revert any edit that removes the college years from the infoboxes of the 2021 NFL rookies? It was discussed on WT:NFL a while back with no opposition and it's standard for both college football and other sports like NBA, so NFL was the outlier. I understand why people don't think it should be there (because they aren't aware of the discussion), but I can't be bothered to constantly re-add them just by myself. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 07:39, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Dissident93: I haven't used my watchlist in months, but if I see it I'll revert. Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:31, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
- Eagles247, really? But the support is appreciated. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 00:39, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
Trey Lance
Could you chime in and give your opinion on a conflict I have with another user regarding what I perceive to be WP:UNDUE on Trey Lance's article that has Mac Jones pre-draft speculation. If I'm wrong then that's fine as I just want a third opinion. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 16:10, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Dissident93: Where's the talk page discussion for this? Eagles 24/7 (C) 16:13, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

Draft: Traveon Redd
How do I move this to publish? EssenseT (talk) 18:56, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
This is my first time creating/writing so Im not sure if Im doing it correctly EssenseT (talk) 18:59, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- @EssenseT: Hi! I've submitted your draft for review through the Articles for Creation process and someone will assess your draft to see if it meets the criteria for inclusion on Wikipedia. At the moment, I'm afraid it will likely fall short because of a lack of reliable sources included for the subject. You will need to include more in order to show the subject meets notability standards and the general notability guideline for new pages. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me! Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:57, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi, I do have more questions 😭 this is my first time doing this and I’m so lost. So I just need to add more references? I took them off because I didn't see any on other pages similar. I should just get agents familiar with this to do it. EssenseT (talk) 20:21, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
- @EssenseT: You'll need to add more references to prove that Redd is notable for his own Wikipedia article. Most college football players won't ever be notable enough to warrant their own page, but some players receive significant coverage through the media (including newspaper articles) to merit one. I can take a look later and see if there are featured articles about him online to add to the draft. Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:25, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Yes he has a lot of featured articles. thats what promoted me to create page. Thanks for all your help. EssenseT (talk) 20:57, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
Happy First Edit Day!
Boston Celtics colors
Hi. Can you have a look at this module? I was able to figure out why the listed colors of the Boston Celtics keep on changing. I don't know how many times this particular user has done that, but he did it again two days ago. It's becoming very confusing already, especially if changes like that happen several times in one season. LSGH (talk) (contributions) 02:40, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- @LSGH: I would refer you to the admin who re-granted template editor privileges to that user despite my objections, Primefac. Eagles 24/7 (C) 15:04, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
- You raised the concern and it was revoked in August 2020, but at neither the declined request in October, nor the subsequent trial and full granting did you raise issue. There were a few questions raised on their talk page but they seemed to have been worked out. If you wish to raise (another) formal complaint, please let me know on my talk page (along with diffs etc) so that I can look into it. I am well aware that it is easy to slip into old habits, and I told them as much when I restored their perm at the beginning of last week, so if we're seeing the same behaviour that led to the previous revocation I would like to know. Primefac (talk) 15:23, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Primefac: I raised issue following your approval of a trial here (after the fact, but I was not alerted to the request). I did not see the newest request last week and have not done a thorough review of their edits in the past few months, but I am completely exhausted seeing the user make the same type of problematic edits as from over a year and a half ago despite a crazy amount of chances to improve. From Module:Sports color/basketball: changed Grizzlies colors May 15, changed them back five days later, and back again ten days after that. I see no discussion for these changes anywhere. Eagles 24/7 (C) 15:54, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
- You're right, I used the wrong diff, though I did respond to your concerns with the next edit. I will take a look at this when I get the chance. Primefac (talk) 16:15, 4 June 2021 (UTC)

Spencer Brown - UAB Draft Page
I am attempting to create a page for Spencer Brown, the RB on the Carolina Panthers to differentiate him from the OL on the Buffalo Bills. Both players are rookies and yet to play in a game, yet only the OL page has been approved. The RB has more college accolades and records and I would think enough media attention to warrant a page. Let me know what I can do to help get the page published. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Footballguru302 (talk • contribs) 05:51, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Footballguru302: Hi, I've cleaned up Draft:Spencer Brown to conform to Wikipedia's writing standards and added a few featured articles to the bottom of the page in order to try to meet WP:GNG, Wikipedia's general notability guideline. Typically, for a subject to be considered notable enough to warrant an article on Wikipedia, I look for at least three featured articles like those, but from at least two different media publications. At the moment, I am only able to find articles from AL.com. If you are able to locate additional featured articles about Brown from publications other than AL.com, the Panthers website, the UAB website, or his agent's website, I would be happy to accept the draft and move it into the mainspace. (The latter three I listed are typically considered "primary" sources, and we're looking for "independent" third-party sources.) Otherwise, I think it would be best to wait for the regular season to begin and allow news sites to cover Brown more in-depth before he warrants a page here. Do you have a conflict of interest with the subject? If so, you will need to disclose this by following the instructions at WP:DISCLOSE. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Account creation pop-up
Hi. I had clicked on "create account" instead of log-in by mistake. However, I saw meanwhile that there was some Account creation block saying that: "Editing from 157.48.0.0/16 has been blocked (disabled) by Eagles247 for the following reason(s): LTA" I did not get what it meant -- is there some error in my contributions or did I do something wrong? I only edited a few articles, so I have no idea what is happening, kindly explain what happened, I am worrying. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Physicsexp (talk • contribs) 17:06, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Physicsexp: Hi, thanks for your message. In August 2020, I had blocked that range of IP addresses from editing anonymously because an LTA (long-term abuse) user at one point was editing from multiple IPs in that range. Judging from your edits, it is unlikely you are the same person causing the disruption, and you are able to edit from your registered account as shown by your ability to edit my talk page, so there is nothing to worry about from your end. If you run into any issues with editing due to the block on your underlying IP, please let me know and I will be happy to assist you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:53, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Raymond W. Kirkbride
Hello, Eagles247. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Raymond W. Kirkbride".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 18:28, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, Eagles247,

Deleted sandbox
Hey there! Last December, you speedily deleted my user sandbox, User:Richmond96/sandbox 3, which I completely understand. I was using it as a personal list of sporting events I've attended in my life. While that seems pretty silly, that was unfortunately the only place I had been recording that list, and it would be pretty cool to be able to keep it for myself offline. Do you know of a way to view the revision history or somehow let me copy the old contents? I did some research [1] and it seems only Admins have that privilege. Appreciate your time! ~ Richmond96 T • C 01:10, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Richmond96: I've emailed you the contents of the deleted page. Eagles 24/7 (C) 18:17, 12 November 2021 (UTC)

Sockpuppet account suspected for previously-banned user
Hi there! Just a heads-up - going through some recent baseball & football pages, and it seems like a user who you'd blocked from editing indefinitely back in July of 2021 has resurfaced. I am 99% confident this is the same individual.
Old account was User:Stonecold415; new account is User:Birdsfan415. Notice the same 415 number - definitely not a coincidence. User is also back to their old ways of citing unreliable sources (e.g. Pro Football Rumors & MLB Trade Rumors). See example here.
Not sure if this is the right process to follow in order to flag attention (I'm also still relatively new to WP); but figured you'd know best how to deal with this.
Thanks!

- @Pozzi.c: Yep, that sure looks like the same person. I've blocked the sockpuppet account indefinitely and tagged the userpages. Please let me know if you see them resurface again. Thanks! Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:43, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

The article Bryce Hall (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Disambiguation not required (WP:2DABS). Primary topic has a hatnote to the only other use.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Administrators will no longer be autopatrolled
A recently closed Request for Comment (RFC) reached consensus to remove Autopatrolled from the administrator user group. You may, similarly as with Edit Filter Manager, choose to self-assign this permission to yourself. This will be implemented the week of December 13th, but if you wish to self-assign you may do so now. To find out when the change has gone live or if you have any questions please visit the Administrator's Noticeboard. 20:05, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
