Admin since / bureaucrat since userboxes
[edit]Hi, I want to thank you for your creation of the admin/bureaucrat-since userboxes. I was also wondering, would it be okay with you if I (or you could certainly do it yourself, if you have no objection) moved User:EVula/Userboxes/admin since, User:EVula/Userboxes/admin somewhere since, and User:EVula/Userboxes/bureaucrat since into the Template namespace, where Template:User Wikipedian for resides? Not only would this make for more consistency with Template:User Wikipedian for, but these userboxes are widely used by the community at large, and being in userspace makes them less collaborative. —Lowellian (reply) 04:28, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Aww, thanks for thanking me. :) I'm fine with them being moved to the template namespace; I initially only created them for my own use, hence why the never appeared in a different namespace. Certainly never expected them to get picked up by anyone else... EVula // talk // ☯ // 04:41, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Well, kudos on a terrific idea that was popularly adopted by the community. :) I've made the moves, and fixed a bunch of redirects. Thanks for the quick reply. —Lowellian (reply) 14:47, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi there. Since the Simple English Wikiquote project has closed down (as far as I can tell), could you please delete my user page and talk pages over there? I can't place requests over there because it won't allow me to edit any pages (due to the wiki being closed). Thanks. It Is Me Here t / c 11:05, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- I'm 99% sure I can't delete anything over there, given that the database is locked. Sorry, but on the plus side, it's not as if you'll be getting talk page requests over there. :) EVula // talk // ☯ // 15:20, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

Userbox edit question
[edit]Would it be ok if I were to change the current version of User:EVula/Userboxes/Happy Me Day! (version as of this post is located in a pastebin here (Wikipedia diff)) to a version that will change depending on if they enter in the {{{month}}}, {{{day}}}, and {{{year}}} parameters or not? (proposed version on pastebin) Note that I won't mind if you say no, and I am sure it won't mess up the pages it is used on. LikeLakers2 (talk) 20:56, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
- As long as it doesn't mess up the pages it's used on, that's fine with me. :) I also didn't realize it was being used by so many people; I originally just created it for myself. Neat. EVula // talk // ☯ // 05:34, 17 August 2011 (UTC)
- Considering how I set it up, I would assume it wouldn't mess it up. If it does, you may revert my edit and let me know. At least I'm not trying to vandalise the UBX. :D LikeLakers2 (talk) 15:42, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Hey
[edit]Hey, good to see you around! Was it so long ago when we crossed paths when it came to articles about possible Mortal Kombat films? :) Anyway, I've seen the light and (maybe) walked away from a silly battle. It's annoying how these issues can suck one in. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. Erik (talk | contribs) 12:30, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, that whole thread is an example of why I'm no longer as active on Wikipedia. Just too much trivial, stupid shit. I've got a life that's far more enjoyable than wikilawyering is. :)
And yeah, the MK film stuff seems ages ago. I keep looking at the boxes on my userpage, and can't imagine how it is that I've been around for so long... yeesh. EVula // talk // ☯ // 14:50, 2 September 2011 (UTC)- Remember this AfD? :) At least the content has a decent home at Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. I try my best to steer clear of trivialities. Just that sometimes I feel the itch to respond to the absurdity. Still, once I can remember that a triviality does not need my full attention, I find editing opportunities elsewhere. Time is really the enemy, though... I've become better at researching, and sometimes I wish I didn't, when I ultimately put together monster lists of references for use. Then I dump them and hope a future editor will make use of them. :P Anyway, happy (minimal) editing! Erik (talk | contribs) 15:18, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
