Your submission of my article for deletion lacks specificity, showing potential ignorance of the listed references as notable and substancial. Please explain. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 25johnpizza (talk • contribs) 18:33, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
Hi Dylan. Your A7 tag on this article was technically correct at the time [1], though it's often good to give clearly-incomplete new articles a little while before tagging them. Nevertheless it's since been expanded into a rather impressive monstrosity of an article that's rather heavy on claims of significance, though very short on sources. It definitely isn't A7 material anymore, though I suspect it might want AfDing - the creator has a clear conflict of interest. Just thought I'd let you know - thanks. ~ mazca talk 21:58, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for alerting me. I was personally considering withdrawing the request after I saw the improvements, but in the end I decided to leave the tag up for admin discretion. → Dylan620 (Toolbox Alpha, Beta) 22:04, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's no problem - given the awfully promotional state of the article it would have been nice to just nuke it anyway. ;) ~ mazca talk 22:16, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Man Cave - Male Bonding
I tried to make some edits which were considered "nonconstructive". If you read the "Man Cave" page, "Male Bonding" does not seem appropriate. I don't believe that it is nonconstructive, as it could be misleading to someone building a Man Cave. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dj13241 (talk • contribs) 16:39, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

- In answer to your question, Dj13241, your edit was more appropriate for the talk page, as it was commenting on the article as opposed to an edit to the article. It was reverted because it was non-encyclopedic content in an article. Vicenarian (T · C) 16:50, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism
I did not want to cause any vandalism to the page Barcelona SC. There was this template Barcelona SC, i started to updated with new players and making it better taking me almost 3 hours because this template hasn't been touch in ages, but then i accidentally created a new One Called Barcelona Sporting Club, so now there's two of the same, but the most recent one i made its better, so i try to delete the Barcelona SC by blanking the page. I am sorry if you guys thought i was doing something wrong, I'm not the the type of person to do that. If one of you guys can keep the just one that be awesome. Thanks. Flameviper
You sure you want this? Also, dunno if you've ever mentored a previously banned editor. You'll have to do a lot of stalking, and proactively correct his errors. It would help if you were good at spotting socks, too, since Flameviper has a past history. This is not your usual "how do I edit, where do I report vandals" mentorship. KillerChihuahua?!?Advice 22:24, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hello KC, thank you for commenting on my volunteering to mentor Flameviper. I must admit that the kind of mentorship you have described is new to me, and that this will be the first time I have mentored a previously. What prompted me to volunteer to mentor/adopt Flameviper was Sarah's statement "would anyone from WP:ADOPT be willing to volunteer." I have read quite a bit about Flameviper in the past, and over the months he has become a (now-former?) banned user who really stood out to me. From what I have read about Flameviper, his foremost issues were:
- sockpuppetry
- incivility
- immaturity
- In summary, yes, I am sure I want this. I am willing to undertake the responsibility of watching Flameviper's contributions for errors, and I will also vow to participate in any future threads about him on the noticeboards. I will even propose a permanent re-ban myself if Flameviper reverts to his old ways. I do consider myself good at spotting my socks; I am a veteran at spotting socks of banned editor Fila3466757 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). I feel ready to start mentoring problem users – starting with Flameviper. Cheers, → Dylan620 (Toolbox Alpha, Beta) 22:50, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

I see that you would like to become an admin. Well personally, I think you are ready for it, and all this message is really saying is, if you want to become the man with the mop, then when you feel you are ready, feel free to give me a shout and I'll nom you if you would like (and you got 1 support too :D). Anyway, its up to you though. Andy (talk) 00:26, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- (re your response to Andy) - Could I just suggest, Dylan, that you're kicking yourself far too hard over that mistaken MfD nomination? Yes, it was a mistake, but you dealt with it professionally and maturely; and ultimately no harm was done. I think you're overestimating how much people care about that kind of thing. :)
- I agree with your decision to hold off on having an RfA until your admin coach thinks you're ready; but please do remember that you're probably a lot closer to being ready for RfA than you think. I'm yet another person who'd be happy to co-nom when you think you're ready. Just remember that everyone's made mistakes, and you're far more likely to be judged on how you deal with them than the fact that you made one in the first place. ~ mazca talk 11:33, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Abuse reports, interested?
Hi! I believe we've contacted each other in the past! I'm aware of your dedication to fighting vandalism on Wikipedia, which I can easily see when using Huggle, since sometimes you revert the vandalism faster than I can (nice job!). Since we have the common interest, I'd like to introduce you to a Wikipedia project that you might be interested in, Wikipedia:Abuse reports. Abuse reports handles repeat IP vandals that have been blocked several times, but continue to be a problem. This is done by contacting the organization responsible for the IP address. It would be great to have you as a new member of the project, but entirely understandable if you feel this is not for you. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, and thanks for your time! Looks good overall, just a couple issues I noticed at first glance. First, the formations and disspiations need locations in relation to major cities (see Timeline of the 2007 Atlantic hurricane season). Also, watch out for unnecessary full stops in the image captions; this isn't a big deal, but it's my pet peeve. :) –Juliancolton | Talk 22:18, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's definitely good enough to publish. If you're going to ship it off to FLC, you might want to add conversions for all units, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Good work! –Juliancolton | Talk 01:27, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for making WP:NODRAMA a success!
Thank you again for your support of the Great Wikipedia Dramaout. Preliminary statistics indicate that 129 new articles were created, 203 other articles were improved, and 183 images were uploaded. Additionally, 41 articles were nominated for DYK, of which at least 2 have already been promoted. There are currently also 8 articles up for GA status and 3 up for FA/FL status. Though the campaign is technically over, please continue to update the log page at WP:NODRAMA/L with any articles which you worked during the campaign, and also to note any that receive commendation, such as DYK, GA or FA status. Hi Dylan
Hey buddy, hope that you're well. I was wondering when we might proceed to Lesson 2? I think that I've done about as much as I can with WikiGnoming and have gained a new respect for people that spend their time on Wikipedia doing the gnomish tasks. Though I'm not sure if it's technically WikiGnoming, I've started going to Special:Random and creating talk pages and rating articles that had no talk page or rating. Actually rather rewarding. Anyway, get back to me when you can. :) Thanks, javert (stargaze) 04:20, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
- Sure, we can get started on that soon (sorry for the late reply). Lesson 2 is on content writing; do you have any DYK's? Featured content? Good articles? Anything else you would like to learn about content writing? Be mindful that the more specific you are, the more I can help you. :) Just an FYI, the next lesson will be your last before your graduation – if you still wish to pursue adminship lessons, please go to admin coaching. All the best, Dylan620 (contribs, logs) 17:26, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- No problems. No DYKs or FAs or GAs. I've created one start class article, and one stub. The best work that I've done is to get Ruthie Henshall from start class to 'C' (before I started to work on her article), and Vicenarian helped me with that. ;) Other than that, about all I've done is to copyedit things (spelling, grammar, word tense, etc.). Thanks again, Dylan. Best, javért stargaze 17:44, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

DYK collaboration
Hey Dylan. I just wanted to congratulate you on your accomplishment of getting your first article to DYK. It's a nice feeling knowing that your work was read by hundreds of people. And I wanted to wish you luck on the FLC as well; I hope that goes over well for you.
I was wondering, now that you got the taste of getting your first article on the main page, if you would be willing to work with me on getting another one to the main page. I am currently working on a biography of William Thompson Lusk, which I am drafting at User:NuclearWarfare/William Thompson Lusk. I have already completed most of the research. I wrote my actual notes in bullet form on the page itself, and now all that needs to be done is to turn those notes into prose. Would you be willing to help me out on that? I would be more than happy to share DYK credit with you if you are.
If you are interested, just reply here within a few days and let me know, and I'll hold off on writing the aricle myself to give you time to work on it.
Sincerely,
NW (Talk) 00:40, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- Hello NW, long time no see. Personally it would be my honor to help you out with turning those notes into prose. I'll get on it tomorrow morning. :) Also, on an unrelated note, would you consider running for adminship? You'd be a truly great candidate, IMO. Best, Dylan620 (contribs, logs) 01:43, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you Dylan! That would be a great help.
- And at this time, I don't think I would run for adminship. If you are interested, here is a link to my disastrous first RfA. I have cleaned up my act since, but I was still thinking about doing at least some more decent content work before running again. NW (Talk) 01:47, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Mentorship?
Why, yes, of course, certainly. Do you have the IRC? What terms do you have in mind? ZS 04:04, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
