Deletion discussion about Specific cost
[edit]Hello, Dumblah, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Qwerfjkl, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Specific cost, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Specific cost.
You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Qwerfjkl}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Arthur Lim
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Arthur Lim requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.christies.com/lot/lot-5905081/?intObjectID=5905081. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fajar trial
[edit]Hello Dumblah. Thank you for helping to add material to the LKY page. May I clarify certain details on the sources you are using, as I do not have access to Living in a time of deception?
The two sources I have used, The Fajar Generation: The University Socialist Club and the Politics of Postwar Malaya and Singapore and Men in White: The Untold Story of Singapore's Ruling Political Party, do not mention Dingle Foot.
Both were clear that the two counsels which gained a reputation after the trial were Lee Kuan Yew and Denis Pritt. However, your addition has now caused the sentence to imply that the two counsels which gained a reputation were Foot and Pritt, omitting Lee. This is now in contradiction with the two sources I have used, and I would greatly appreciate your cooperation in clearing this up.
As I am trying to work the article up to a Good Article, I greatly appreciate all input, and would also like to advise that material not pertaining to Lee specifically be shifted to other articles, perhaps Poh's or Pritt's, as there's a recommended length for articles, and LKY's close to the limit before I have even cleaned up his premiership section. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sea Cow (talk) 03:46, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
