Deletion discussion about Anne Quito
[edit]Hello, Drowneded,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Stevey7788 and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Anne Quito should be deleted. Your comments are welcome over Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Anne Quito .
You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Stevey7788}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!
Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Hi Stevey7788,
Thanks for starting the discussion. As you may have guessed, I'm relatively new to Wikipedia. So there may be existing discussions about this elsewhere of which I'm not aware, but it seems slightly less than welcoming to mark an article for deletion, as opposed to, say, recommending improvements. I understand the issue of having too many of the references be the subject's own work, however they're all sourced from different sites, and are representative of her range. With that said, I've added several more references and citations from outside sources, and hope that that will be enough to prevent deletion. I would hate to have one of the first articles I've taken time to create be deleted. That seems like a recipe for discouraging new Wikipedia users from continuing to participate. Some baklava for you!
[edit]Hi. We're not unfriendly, just rule bound - for excellent reasons. Such as the fact that folks constantly try to use WP as a free advertising billboard. E.M.Gregory (talk) 14:54, 20 March 2019 (UTC) |
- Here are 2 tips: 1.) Tell us something about yourself and your interests and expertise on your user page. the one you get to by clicking Drowneded. 2. If you are in the process of creating a new page, it's OK to do it live instead of in you sandbox. But if that is the approach you choose, you will find it handy to place the Template:In use at the top of page. You build the page to the point where it will satisfy WP:GNG, then remove the tag. You'll find it more convenient than having a page you just started creating brought to deletion discussion. Cheers, and welcome.E.M.Gregory (talk) 14:59, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

COI check for Curbed
[edit]Hello. Do you have any connection to the real estate website Curbed? MrsSnoozyTurtle 03:32, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
Hi. No, I do not. I do read a lot of their posts, though. It looks like you've taken down a post that I spent a lot of time improving at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Alissa_Walker - this is frustrating. The person in question had been deemed not notable. I made an effort to flesh out the post and prove notability. Now the post is removed again because of concern over fan POV? This seems like an unwinnable battle: Don't write enough and the person is deemed not notable. Write too much and you're branded a fan, thus whatever you've written is dismissed out of hand.
