your attitude
Hi, I am quite aware of the need to keep wikipedia well sourced, reliable and professional. however, I have to say, you are very rude person. Feedback can be delivered in nicer, supportive and more respectful manner. Zuzilicious (talk) 10:44, 12 January 2023 (UTC)
rejected "article for submission" User:Ngriffeth/Percy Maxim Lee
You turned down the article because of concern about copyright violation. Definitely my bad, it appears that I did copy some stuff directly from the Hartford Courant - I meant to rewrite, but got involved in researching better sources, and then never went back. I feel bad about screwing this up because she is most definitely a notable woman, due to her presidency of the League of Women Voters during perhaps its time of greatest influence and also because of her public opposition to McCarthyism.
Perhaps you could let me know if this is an adequate rewrite of the last four paragraphs:
Mrs. Lee had held four honorary degrees (LL.D. from Rutgers University, Drexel Institute, Cedar Crest College, and LH.D. from the University of Hartford). She was married to John Glessner Lee and they had four children. Additionally, during World War II, the Lee family hosted two daughters of Oxford University professors and a German family of three in their home.
In her professional life, Mrs. Lee was a founder of The Renbrook School, served on the Board of Trustees of the Putney School and Connecticut College, and held various appointed positions, including Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Connecticut College, Chairman of the Capitol Region Planning Agency, and Chairman of the Consumer Advisory Council. She also served on the State Library Commission, the Commission on the Status of Women, and The Clean Water Task Force, and acted as a liaison between the public and The Foreign Operations Administration from 1954 to 1955. President John Kennedy and President Lyndon Johnson both appointed her to positions, including the Consumer Advisory Council and Public Land Law Review Commission.

A question.
Dear DoubleGrazing,
You recently declined my article Draft:Elizabeth Brontë, and I would like to say that more sources have been added including a school report about her which is currently preserved in the British Library. I appreciate all your concerns, however you say that I should “add the salient points of this draft to the existing Brontë family article instead”, but the level of detail between the main article of a Brontë sister and their entry on this page (Brontë family) is so different that many facts concerning Elizabeth would have to be edited out to suit other content: these are facts which I believe are worthy of a separate page. I one-hundred per-cent agree with you that she is less notable than her siblings, however:
- The school in which she so suffered owing to her and her sisters’ treatment led to her sister Charlotte Brontë immortalising it in Jane Eyre.
- She is notable as a sort of antithesis to her more literary siblings and her character provides an insight into the early life of the Brontës.
- Her school report has been deemed so important that it is currently conserved in the British Library.
I don’t think the life of Elizabeth Brontë should be considered solely because of her more famous siblings and replaced with a a redirect to another page because her story has much to offer and as you have mentioned i have added many more sources.
Finally, even though Elizabeth died at such a young age, she is very similar in notability to her sister Maria, who has her own page despite also dying very young.
I’m not asking you to accept the draft but merely consider my thoughts – is there any advice you feel I should be aware of?
Best wishes,

Question from ComputerLem (22:47, 19 January 2023)
Hi there! I'm a longtime Wikipedia reader who has decided to finally create an account to edit and also to try to figure out some of the new skin stuff with Vector 2022. I see Wikipedia has linked to you as my mentor, so I'm hoping I can reach out to you about something. Problem is: I don't really know how to interact with editing or communities.
My goal right now is to figure out how I can make the new table of contents completely expanded by default, or if it can't be done, to try to suggest that it should be an option. I've read all I can find of this page here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Skin:Vector/2022 and cannot seem to find what I need.
What do you suggest?
Thanks in advance! --ComputerLem (talk) 22:47, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
