Broken Coords
Hi I'm working on clearing out Category:Coord template needing repair.
There are a couple of instances of {{Coord}}
on User:Derlinus/List of international enclaves and exclaves which have 60 seconds, and need to be rolled over to the next minute, e.g. from {{coord|40|23|60|N|...
to {{coord|40|24|0|N|...
.
Would you mind if I fixed them?

The article Travelers' Century Club list of countries has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Quigley (talk) 06:17, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:19, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
The article The Top 100 Historical Persons in Japan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable, possibly copyvio. cf. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/200 Greatest Israelis. List articles that simply reproduce lists published elsewhere are non-notable.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 07:44, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

Nomination of Travelers' Century Club for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Travelers' Century Club is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Travelers' Century Club until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. The Banner talk 15:14, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Travelers' Century Club
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Travelers' Century Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://travelerscenturyclub.org/countries-and-territories/retired-territories. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, and thank you for your work in adding to and refining Wikipedia's golf collection. After looking at your user page I have to ask, how did you manage to travel to 100 (or more?) countries? Not looking for personal information, but you must have quite the world view and personal cultural experience. Which country haven't you gone to that you really want to visit (just curious)? And, maybe the important question, how many countries have you golfed in (smiley face here)? Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 11:29, 27 June 2019 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted
Hi Derlinus, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Joe (talk) 08:01, 9 July 2020 (UTC)

Challenge Tour playoffs
Hey there, I know this edit on Mats Hallberg you made was quite a while ago. But where did you find the details for his playoff loss at the 1994 Himmerland Open? Also do you have any other playoff details for the Challenge Tour in the 90's. Their website has good coverage of the events from 1999 onwards, but before then, information is pretty scarce. Thanks Jimmymci234 (talk) 20:29, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
- Michel Archer holed a 7 m putt from off the green at the 1994 Himmerland Open, to win on the third playoff hole. Source: Svensk Golf 7/94, page 44. Finnish Open
Hi there! I recently added to the page Finnish Open (which used to be a Challenge Tour event), with more winners. These additions have been taken from the Nordic Golf League schedules from 2012 onwards. However, the page currently has no details of the event from 2005 to 2011. I cannot find schedules/results from the NGL for these years, but I would suspect that the Finnish Open was part of the schedule at least for some of those years. Are you able to access schedule/result details for that period? Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks. Jimmymci234 (talk) 19:55, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
- They are most likely available in the golfdata db (2011 Finnish Open, 2007 Sunny Trading Finnish Open (NL-)major, 2006 Finnish Open by Entercard Scandinavian Masters), but it is not always straightforward to find them. Derlinus (talk) 23:41, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
Yeah managed to find those ones eventually, but definitely not the easiest to find! Jimmymci234 (talk) 07:08, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

European Ladies' Team Championship
Thanks for showing the bracket a better way on the 1971 European Ladies' Team Championship article. I found a way to both show the bracket and the games in the final. I did edit the 2021 European Amateur Team Championship article this way. Actually I've noticed that the EGA didn't present gold-, silver- and bronze medals to the members of the first three teams in the 50s, 60s and 70s. However, despite that, we could have the medal symbols in the final standings result, but I wrote the description of the outcome a little different, "won the championship" instead of "won the gold". I havn't found out exactly which year EGA introduced medals.
I completed 1971 European Ladies' Team Championship with final standings 1-14, source: The Golfer's Handbook 1973, page=347, not available online, only in the book. EEJB (talk) 16:33, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
- Again – an excellent job you have done on these team championship articles! A really valuable addition. Thoroughly well made. So many of the continent's golf greats have participated in the championships over the years.
- Medals: Similar to the Olympic medals then, perhaps. Initially Gold, Silver, Bronze medals were not awarded, but once this system was established, all competitors were retroactively assigned the corresponding medal. With what you describe I think you found a good balance, makes sense to use the symbols, while refraining from referring to the placings by medal where possible.
- 2021 EATC looks good with the details of the final. Width is sometimes a concern, but the sections break well on mobile devices too, I checked. Derlinus (talk) 18:49, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
Almost done with the European team Ch'ships. This was massive. Really tried to make the articles less difficult to read with more columns and at the same time complete and correct. During the 1960s and 70s, this was an important tournament in Sweden and other countries without top playing professionals at the time. Still there are a few Flight B-brackets and columns to fix. I also miss some final games. Surprised that for example 2001 EATC final games in Sweden between Scotland and Ireland can't be find. Help appreciated. EEJB (talk) 18:20, 7 January 2022 (UTC)
- What an absolutely amazing effort. Outstanding contribution to complete the Espirito Santo Trophy, the European Amateur Team Championship and now the European Ladies' Team Championship. I'll see if I can add some details but I doubt it is much.
- Of course, if you want further challenges, after some well deserved rest, the U18 and U22 championships (European Boys' Team Championship & European Girls' Team Championship and European Youths' Team Championship & European Lady Junior's Team Championship) are available, [smiley]. I added the overview articles but doubt I'll have the stamina to do the the yearly. /Derlinus (talk) 11:59, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

Thank you. By the way, I think editions of the U.S. Senior Women's Open will be a priority. Only the 2018 edition has its own article. EEJB (talk) 13:14, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
May I ask for 2022 in the template on the European Amateur Team Championship (men) articles to? As well as the same kind of template in the U.S. Senior Women's Open articles? (Just completed in a hurry by me and cleaned up by Tewapack.) Thanks EEJB (talk) 21:58, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- Done. Created a {{U.S. Senior Women's Open}} template, just add this to the relevant articles going forward. Do try to incorporate the field and how the players qualified, I find such information very useful and interesting. /Derlinus (talk) 03:23, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks EEJB (talk) 17:38, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
On my way with the 2021 US Senior Women's Open fieid exemptions and qualifying, but still just can't find out how Catherine Panton-Lewis was exempt. Can't find her among qualifying players, but she was in the field and played. EEJB EEJB (talk) 15:39, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
- Indeed. Looked into her possible qualifying avenues but it remains a mystery. /Derlinus (talk) 15:33, 23 January 2022 (UTC)

2010 Nordea Tour Ranking
Would you have any idea of where to access a ranking list for the 2010 Swedish Golf Tour season? Wilhelm Schauman won with 276,330 points I believe. Nordic Golf League schedules pre 2012
Hey, do you know if it is possible to get schedules of Nordic Golf League/ECCO Tour/SGT as well as Orders of Merit via golfdata.se from 2011 backwards? I know you can see a list of tournaments that a certain player may have played in via their results on their profile. Just wondered if you can get a schedule of results for a particular tour over there? Thanks. Jimmymci234 (talk) 19:43, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
- No, this data has proved surprisingly hard to come by. Derlinus (talk) 02:48, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
- No problem, I thought the same. Shame as there is a lot of good data over there. Also I was meaning to ask, do you have any idea what the "Kaupthing Tour" is/was? Jimmymci234 (talk) 19:51, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Believe it was a strictly Pro-Am Tour (1P & 3A flights) that existed 2004–2009. DK-based with the odd event in SE and NO. Called the Srixon Tour 2004–2006, Kaupthing Tour 2007–2008, and Krone Golf Tour in 2009. Derlinus (talk) 01:32, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

European Lady Junior's Team Championship
Hi, I've put a lot of effort trying to get all the podium teams complete, maybe you have noticed (?) but there are still a few years/teams I can't find. Are there any other available Scottish newspapers than Glasgow Herald, who didn't cover the 1980 Scottish victory? Or are there other national golf federations magazines/publications than the Swedish one Svensk Golf? Regards EEJB (talk) 16:49, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- Nice work indeed. Why not contact EGA and make them aware of the missing records/broken links in the official archive? Surely they should be able to provide complete datasets, if only they would finalize their digitization. Derlinus (talk) 23:48, 29 December 2022 (UTC)
Yes, should be done. By the way, I've found most of the winning team members ar the European Youth's Team Championship. The 1966 Danish was named in a historic review in the magazine of the Danish Gof Federation, an issue from 2007. Regards EEJB EEJB (talk) 13:50, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
During the process I found a deletion threat on the Rikard Strångert article. Itried to avoid that by explaining his status as oneof the best Swedish amateur players, but the citera of winning National amateur championships wasn't easy because of the open Golf policy. Regards, EEJB (talk) 08:18, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. It is long established that winning USGA or R&A events infer notability (even just participating in the Curtis Cup). The same should apply for winning EGA events (the high profile ones). They are events on an even higher order than National championships, they are Continental championships. A challenge is that a lot of the press coverage is in non-English tounges, for obvious reasons (EGA spans ~50 countries). Our efforts to strengthen the coverage of these events here (using various European language sources) I think help raise awareness amongst Anglophones of their importance. Derlinus (talk) 09:57, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
Agree. Thanks for all your contributions. In the 60s and 70s very few continental players turned professional, especially women. Like Catherine Lacoste said on why she didn't turn pro. "You just didn't turn professional in Europe at that time." That's why the EGA events was the most important ones. Best regards EEJB (talk) 20:41, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
