Hey, I saw your message in my talk page and I have "finished" writing the article. I've just nominated it at DYK and would like your help in getting a second look at the article. If you have any advice on how to expand the lead section (or if you want to expand it yourself), feel free to do so! ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 04:00, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@HistoryTheorist: I made a couple copyediting tweaks, feel free to revert anything I changed if you disagree. I think the lead is good. My only remaining suggestion would be that, since McGinnis is best known for Respironics, it would be good to have a section or subsection titled that. Perhaps you want to change the title of "Medical device industry" to "Career" (which follows the template of many other biographical articles), and then add a subsection for Respironics. If you do this, you may find value in moving some of the content from "Early life" to the "Career" section, like for instance the second half of the last sentence. Feel free to think on that, no need to do it if you disagree. Good work! Mokadoshi (talk) 20:03, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think those suggestions are reasonable and I have made such changes to the article. Thanks! ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 23:19, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Townsends

[edit]

On 30 March 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Townsends, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Townsends, a YouTube channel dedicated to life in 18th-century America, has featured a 1784 recipe for macaroni and cheese? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Townsends. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Townsends), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Tyler1 child's name

[edit]

The article is on my watchlist so saw your removal/edit summary. The policy is WP:BLPNAME and generally the names of children are not included in articles unless there is a compelling reason to do so. S0091 (talk) 21:38, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, thanks very much! I'm still not sure that this Tweet is reliable for the article as per the Talk discussion page, and I'm interested in your thoughts on it, but either way I'm not going to invest effort to change it today. Mokadoshi (talk) 21:48, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
