Translation for German Wikipedia

Hello De728631, Would you be bale to translate the below article for the German wikipedia?I have been making requests to translators on the List of German translators. Have not yet had any replies.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_graffiti_and_street_art_injuries_and_deaths — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xyxyzyz (talkcontribs) 22:09, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

@Xyxyzyz: Hello there. I'll put that on my to-do list, but I'm pretty busy elsewhere. So I can't promise a quick delivery. De728631 (talk) 19:05, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
@Xyxyzyz: It took some time, but here it is: de:Liste der Unfälle und Todesfälle von Graffiti- und Streetart-Künstlern. De728631 (talk) 15:36, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
@Xyxyzyz: FYI, the German translation has now been deleted after a deletion discussion. The consensus was that the individuals save for Oz were not not notable and it was therefore unjustified to have such a list. De728631 (talk) 22:27, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

Angst (Lacrimosa album)

Hello. Could you please take a look at this article once again, please? --Rave (talk) 06:42, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

@Rave: Hello, and thank you for bringing this article back to life. I think though that more sources are needed. Apart from the reviews/ratings, there are no sources at all, but your claims certainly should be backed by reliable sources. De728631 (talk) 23:30, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Ahem ...

H'm. I've just finished polishing the Influences article, and I'm not sure if you noticed but I've recently submitted it at GAN, after many months of preparation when all contributions were welcome in what was quite a poorly-structured article. It's certainly an unwelcome moment to start introducing instability. As for the |ref=harv thingies, they're no longer necessary or useful for anything, and yes, I've used them for years. I was sorry to see them go as it meant one could choose whether to have explicit links or not, but that's no longer possible - one gets error messages if sources aren't linked whatever citation style one uses (well, barring totally manual formatting...). All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 17:51, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

@Chiswick Chap: I'm sorry if you're feeling that my additions are adding instability, even more so as you seemed to the like the tanks reference. I was trying to flesh out some chapters that seemed too short to me, based on my experiences with GA nominations. The |ref=harv being obsolete is new to me, so this is why I was rather surprised when you removed them. A single revert like this should not endanger the GA process though. Anyhow, I'm fine with not touching the article any longer until the GA review has been finished. De728631 (talk) 18:07, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
Thank you, no, I'm not opposed to new ideas like the tanks thing at all. Actually it's a gigantic subject, quasi-limitless, so the goal is rather to reach a point at which the article gives a glimpse of a few undeniably major strands ("the main points"); comprehensiveness must be impossible. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:19, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
Ah, good. I agree with you that there is no possible way to put all this into one comprehensive article, so the overview sort of thing is the means of choice. I read the Trees and forests article last night, and was wondering if a list section would be suitable, but then I think that the current format is much better suited to convey the content than listing everything from Dorthonion to the Old Forest just for the sake of being comprehensive. We should leave that to the Gateway and other such outlets. I do wonder though if there are more individually named trees of some importance than the White Tree, The Two and Old Man Willow. De728631 (talk) 18:35, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
@Chiswick Chap: Speaking of details, while googling for something to flesh out the Battle of the Pelennor article at the German WP, I just found a large newspaper article written by John Garth in 2014. It is in German but has lots of war-related inspirations for Tolkien's plots and characters: gas masks for the hoods and voices of the Nâzgul plus various other references to gas (cf. "dark breath" of the ringwraiths and mist on the Paths of the Dead), Gollum may have been inspired by soldiers suffering from PTSD, Frodo and Sam = officer and common soldier, etc, etc. While it might be too much to put it all into the "inspirations" article, I think the various character articles might benefit from such additions. De728631 (talk) 22:54, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
Yes, I've read similar things from some of Garth's other articles. The Sam as officer's batman thing is well attested, and JRRT said as much. For the rest, it's basically all speculation, and of the kind that JRRT especially disliked! Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:21, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
I see, thanks for putting it into context. We'd better not use this piece then. De728631 (talk) 14:11, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

— Speravir (talk– 22:46, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

Please help with usability testing

Hello! The mw:Anti-Harassment Tools team is running a usability test to find out how and where IP addresses are used when patrolling wikis, particularly when patrolling RecentChanges. This could include New Pages or RecentChanges patrol. We want to see your patrolling process and get your views on some prototypes. Getting your perspective would be really helpful to us at this stage of the process. If you’d like to help, and have 30 minutes to spare, please fill out this Google form with your details: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfjYyRNGMkO4_TdNOgG4qmK9cp9YOKzM4GFO5pTd_bEcu23YQ/viewform

For the purpose of the tests we’ll be using Google Forms for recruitment, and UserTesting.com to conduct the actual tests. Please review the privacy statement and release form in https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ijmwrIoNO0W1p_zfFU1LBf3_6mFF53kUUFy1L_DCUKc (Google docs link)
