Question Hi, I am new to editing Wikipedia pages. I noticed you undid my edits on the Ulige Numre page. Can you explain why? I'm not complaining, just trying to understand what I did wrong and whether it is possible to correct, as I posted the information in good faith.

Editing the wiki page 'Vazhuvoor B. Ramaiyah Pillai'
[edit]Hello,
This message is regarding the editing of the wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vazhuvoor_B._Ramaiyah_Pillai
I'm the eldest grandson of late Vazhuvoor B. Ramaiyah Pillai and the eldest son of late Vazhuvoor R. samraj. I came across the information posted in this wiki page about Vazhuvoor B. Ramaiyah Pillai. In an effort to add more information about the third generation of the Vazhuvoor parampara, I added some details to this wiki page last week. However the information has been deleted along with some other important facts about my grandfather. I request you to revert back to the version which I had edited last week.
Here is a link to the article posted on Sept 18th 2014, by 'The Hindu' - a popular Indian newspaper, which talks about my contribution to this art. If you need any further clarifications, please contact me at vazhuvoorars@ymail.com
Thanks and Regards, Vazhuvoor S. Palaniappan
- Hi Vazhuvoorspalaniappan and thank-you for your comments. The edits were removed as it was completely unsourced, which is a violation of WP:V. What you have done also violates one of they key pillars of Wikipedia WP:5P2, and I quote, ' All articles must strive for verifiable accuracy, citing reliable, authoritative sources, especially when the topic is controversial or is on living persons. Editors' personal experiences, interpretations, or opinions do not belong.'. You are more than welcome to make further edits, as long as they are properly referenced. If you are having trouble with references, may I suggest WP:REFB. May I also remind you that repeated violations of Wikipedia policy may lead to an account being blocked from editing per WP:WHYBLOCK. Thank-you David.moreno72 12:30, 21 March 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, Can you explain this revert please? Thanks! Dldnh (talk) 12:42, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Dldnh. At first glance it appeared to be unconstructive, but after carefully reviewing the edit, my reversion appears to be in error. Please accept my apologies. Considering I make several thousand edits a month, even if I have a 99.9% accuracy, there will always be a few errors. Thank-you. David.moreno72 13:08, 25 March 2017 (UTC)

Reversion of my edit
[edit]Hi David, Thanks for your attention to my edit in the List of Countries by Human Development Index. "Palestine", rather than "Palestinian Territories", is correct here, because that is a faithful reflection of the information posted to the UNDP website at which HDI data is originated. See http://hdr.undp.org/en/countries/profiles/PSE. (In general "Palestinian Territories" is a misnomer anyway because the term "territory" applies to land that is subject to a country's jurisdiction, and the only possible country this could apply to, Israel, has not claimed the West Bank as its territory). As a general matter, I'd also suggest that you provide the courtesy of justifying reverting an edit in the comments section - I notice other people have pointed out that you have done this in other cases. Regards, Hurunui
- Hi Hurunui99. I have double checked your edit and yes, you are correct. Please accept my apologies. In regards to justifying an edit in the comments section, I use an automated tool, Huggle, where the default is to revert without an edit summary. It does have options for adding a comment, but they are preset, and rather restrictive, so if none apply, then I just use the default. Generally this is sufficient. Thank-you David.moreno72 13:04, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
Feldenkrais Method
[edit]Please accept my recent edits to the Feldenkrais Method page. As it stands, the article leads and closes with blatantly biased and incorrect statements, these need to be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.195.99.79 (talk) 09:19, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 49.195.99.79. That may be your opinion, but the sections that you removed were well sourced by reliable and reputable citations. If you wish to supply an alternate viewpoint, of which you are entitled to, they too must be well sourced by reliable and reputable citations. I would also suggest that in future that per WP:RVREASONS, that you discuss the issue on the talk page before removing well referenced material. Thank-you. David.moreno72 12:44, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
Peach Leaf Curl
[edit]Good morning David, I see you have reverted my transfer of information from the Leaf curl article to the Begomovirus article. Two favours I ask of you: please look closely at my changes specifically with regards to whitefly control, and you will see that my changes make biological sense. Please re-instate my version, thanks. Secondly, can you then please re-name the Leaf curl article as "Peach Leaf Curl"? Much appreciated. 86.170.122.151 (talk) 10:05, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 86.170.122.151. I'm sorry, but the page is about Leaf curl, which is an overarching subject, which describes the various causes of leaf curl, including Peach Leaf Curl. You are more than welcome to expand upon the section of Peach Leaf Curl, or even add the various other causes, of which there are many. Thanks. David.moreno72 12:35, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
- Fine. In that case please make me a peach leaf curl article stub (which I will fill with content today), and leave the leaf curl article as is (and I will place Begomovirus content into it, which is at present nearly completely missing). I will then modify both articles, new and old, and ask you to review it later today. Bear in mind that the article cannot stay as is, with 99 percent peach leaf curl and then out of the blue, a whitefly control program. 86.170.122.151 (talk) 12:57, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 86.170.122.151. I would recommend that you first create the article as a draft and submit it to Articles for creation. That way it will be reviewed and commented on, and you will have a chance to make it perfect before promotion to mainspace. I also encourage you, since you seem to be an expert on the subject, to expand the leaf curl article. Thank-you and happy editing. David.moreno72 13:36, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks David for the Articles for creation link, which I did not know about. I have read it, and come to the sad conclusion that it is not worth my while submitting an article for review to disinterested reviewers given that no-one has cared about the whitefly mixup in the past few years, and that even you do not wish to take ownership of the problem. Just do one thing for me please: google "peach leaf curl" and tell me how far down your list of google results the Leaf curl article shows up. Google results normally show wiki articles at first or second position, but this one trails at eighth place on my Google results. Not good enough in my view. 86.170.122.151 (talk) 15:18, 25 March 2017 (UTC)

- How about this solution: 1. You rename the current Leaf curl article as "Peach leaf curl". 2. You set up a Disambiguation page "Leaf curl" which links to Begomovirus, to Peach leaf curl and to the various leafroll diseases for potato, grapevine etc. 3. I will then make minor edits to all these pages to ensure consistency. If you feel unsure about this, please recommend me a competent administrator. 86.170.122.151 (talk) 17:50, 25 March 2017 (UTC)

[edit]The Music Education Centre Page | |
Hi, :) I left two brief talk page messages to contest the deletion of The Music Education Centre. Someone appears to have deleted them as they can not be found and I thought this would be the best way of reaching you.
For example, the University that published a study about the Music Education Centre, for example is a world respected University and the (publication is listed under New Zealand's national library), there were other citations to independent Associations that are also world respected in Music. The School Principals and Schools that were cited to have reviewed this page topic of are also notable in the education field (although there are no Wikipedia pages to them). I honestly think that the final page was acceptable, if there needed to be additional edits they were minor, this is not my first page that I have helped set up or contributed to. I came across several Wikipedia pages, that were of similar notablity that had missing links, citations and the references were mostly internal. So it seems to me that something is not right. I think that there is a genuine cultural issue here between countries, with a lack of understanding for how the New Zealand education system and its peers in New Zealand and Internationally. I cut down the final article to a shorter length so the most important neutral information could be seen more clearly. Since it is Auckland's largest education provider of its type, with approx 1,500 enrolments weekly, I am surprised that these final edits did not stick. Since there is no conflict of interest - for example I do not work at The Music Education Centre I can not see a reason for deletion. I doubt that the final edits were actually read and or understood. I look forward to your reply. ContentWriter (talk) 23:06, 27 March 2017 (UTC) |
- Hi ContentWriter. I carefully reviewed the page before tagging it. This involved not only reading the page, but also the references (the ones that could be fully accessed). The first problem was that the language used wasn't neutral, but promotional. Other editors, including myself thought so. Some tried to help you by reverting them, but were quickly reinstated. This is an issue per WP:OWN. The second, and most importantly, there was no evidence of notability per WP:GNG. That is, there was very little significant, independent coverage by reliable, unaffiliated sources. But that was not only my opinion, as the CSD nominator, but also obviously the opinion of the administrator, Seraphimblade who would have also carefully reviewed the article and eventually deleted it. If you wish to recreate the article, I would highly recommend that you read this, create a draft and then submit it to Articles for creation (where I am also a reviewer). By going through the AFC process you will not only have plenty of time to perfect the article, but also receive constructive comments when you submit it for review. Thank-you David.moreno72 06:53, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
Nain Rouge Entry clarification
[edit]I prefaced my entry with this disclaimer "In January, 2017, a new perspective and interpretation was introduced about the Nain Rouge" Is this not good enough to continue the premise that the Nain is still mythological but people currently believe in him? Your clarification is appreciated. Dave Kriegasaur (talk) 01:59, 30 March 2017 (UTC)

- Hi Sacrlette. It sounds like you have an undisclosed conflict of interest, so editing the page is strong discouraged. I have taken the liberty of adding the details myself, using neutral wording. Your welcome. David.moreno72 09:17, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
Cut & paste move
[edit]Hello, David. I see that you attempted to revert a move by a block-evading editor of Shrirampur railway station to Serampore railway station by cutting the content from one article and pasting it into the other. I agree entirely with reverting the page move, but cutting and pasting the content is not the way to do it, as it loses the editing history, which must be kept to comply with Wikipedia's copyright licensing terms. Normally, you should move a page by using the "move page" link at the top of the page. Sometimes that is not possible, as intervening edits to the target page prevent the move, but in that case you should paste {{db-move|1=PAGE TO BE MOVED HERE|2=REASON FOR MOVE}} at the top of the page to be deleted to make way for the move, which requests that an administrator make the move. On this occasion I have made the move, so you don't have to do anything, but I am letting you know for future reference. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 16:19, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
- Many thanks JamesBWatson for your help with this matter. I have normally been collaborating with Bgwhite, as he is also familiar with the user, but he hasn't edited for about a month. This particular user has been a problem for some time now, specializing in copyright violations and unnecessary page moves. Edits are usually easy to deal with as they can easily be reverted, but page moves are a but more difficult to deal with as I don't have page mover rights. In relation to the Shrirampur railway station, I had previously supplied a reliable reference, which also includes photographs of the station, showing unequivocally that it is called Shrirampur, as our friend had previously incorrectly moved it. Unfortunately, this was not enough for our incompetent friend, who has already burnt through a series of user accounts. While I have your attention, I would like to respectfully request page mover rights , as I often see incorrect page titles during new page patrolling and incorrect page moves during my other reviewing activities, and having the right would certainly help resolve these issues. Thank-you David.moreno72 09:06, 3 April 2017 (UTC)

Young Earth Creationism reversion
[edit]I noticed that you reverted the changes I made to the YEC page about linguists knowing the origin of languages or having opinions. I believe that my edit was justified because the text that was there before my edit and after your reversion is inconsistent with the page on the origin of languages, to which there is a link in the same sentence. The origin of languages page clearly states that the topic is still hotly debated and sometimes even disconsidered as a field of science due to lack of evidence. Thus it is unreasonable to overly criticize YEC by saying it contradicts what is known about the origin of language when there is no consensus about what is known or even believed about this origin of languages. Thus my edit that changed the word 'known' to 'widely believed' was still overly generous to those opposing YEC as nothing is quite widely believed. 97.102.178.138 (talk) 11:10, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- The gist is: whatever is believed thereupon, it is asserted scientifically, it isn't predicated upon God confusing the languages of men because they wanted to build a skyscraper. Tgeorgescu (talk) 17:54, 11 April 2017 (UTC)

Dear Reviewer of Amazonum Kure Vyakulathakalum. Why this article is not passed review according to notabiltiy.
The Rules WP:RS and WP:INDY are passed. (As I think)
About References given
- A Univeristy library (Calicut University - A reputed university in India). You see Staff View - Means this text entered by a Librarian who got atleast a master degree in Library science in India (Not a student or contract person).
- A News Paper (DNA - A popular website in the world)
- Good Reads website (I dont know whether it is considered as WP:RS
---
Primary Sources - Both are in Malayalam (what to do)
- Kerala Sahithya Akademy - The authority by which the award was given (A popular and reputed governement agency in India)
- Mathrubhumi books - The people who published this book (A popular publisher in Kerala)
You must atleast consider WP:GF. I am not doing any PR to anyone.
Still this article got a Notability Issue. Then go Delete .
Put {{SD}}
I am not going to improve this article. Dont bug me any more.
If you are putting this article back then in future be more careful.
If you are not putting this draft to Main. I will put {{SD}} within some days. And I got a very bad mark in wiki of putting SDs.
Thanks and Regards. --Ranjithsiji (talk) 10:28, 17 April 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi - you recenty reverted a wkilink to Blue Funnel Group on the Port of Southampton page because of "Violation of external links policy (HG) (3.1.20))" I'm intrigued to know why as it appears to be a normal internal link. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 12:55, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Murgatroyd49 . That was in error. Feel free to revert. Thanks David.moreno72 13:10, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
Thanks guyes picking this up and to other people who reverted this. I've spent my effort yesterday trying to understand about external link and why it applied here. The anti vandal on my talk page gave me a spam warning and to contact David.moreno72 or read guidelines. I have been reading guidelines at odd points in a disruptive day to try to get my facts right before leaving a message here. That said I appreciate link source / target are not necessarily a best practice combination , a 'see' template might be better and the history bit might move to the Blue funnel page. But that said the source paragraph is quite good at the moment and the target article is new so best not to make haste on the source. Understand this was all in best faith. So how do i post my company page in wikipedia, because i am confused on this, before i created a username with my name and then i changed it to the companies name because i thought that it would be needed if you want to add a companies page. can you please guide me what should i do at this moment to save my page from deletion? or how do i add a page with legal way. My Page is not a promotion.
- Hi Amber Palm. Simple answer, you can't. Wikipedia is not to be used for promotion. End of conversation. David.moreno72 13:29, 30 April 2017 (UTC)

- Hi Jim1138. Thanks for you comments. After reviewing the edits I can now see that a number of them were in error. As you probably know, when I'm RC patrolling I will get numerous unwelcome comments on my talk page, and will often be subjected to all forms of abuse. I thought at the time that Garnhami was yet another vandal, and I do sincerely apologise for my misimpression. Thank-you David.moreno72 12:30, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you for apologizing and especially for using that "A-word". RCP is difficult to say the least. Especially when you get tangled up with some of those long-drawn people insisting on WP:RGW. The A-word does get easier with practice. I've had a lot of practice. Best Jim1138 (talk) 00:49, 3 May 2017 (UTC)

Duol wiki rejection
[edit]Hello David.moreno72,
just noticed that wiki page for Duol was rejected, now two quick questions: ·why was it rejected (the article was already 90% reduced) ·under what condition would the page be accepted (what should be written)?
Regards,
Casablanca99 Casablanca99 (talk) 10:27, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Casablanca99. The article needs numerous reliable 3rd party references that are about Duol. Not just passing mentions or links to the company website. Even the earlier version of the page did not do that. Thank you David.moreno72 10:35, 4 May 2017 (UTC)

Edit to page?
[edit]Hi, I received a message that my recent edit to a page (Oskaloosa, Kansas) was removed because there was no cited reference. This is all well & good, but I have no idea what you are talking about. I don't even know how to edit or make changes to Wikipedia pages. For example, I was looking at a page earlier today that I saw could benefit from an addition, but I have no clue as to how to even do that. (The page is for the song "Born Under a Bad Sign," co-written by Booker T. Jones (music) and lists a number of artists who have covered the tune, but neglected to include Gov't Mule.) Anyway, I couldn't have made an edit to the Oskaloosa, Kansas page, because I do not know how.
Thanks, Angel Gillaspie Lawrence, Kansas agilla64@yahoo.com 129.237.92.176 (talk) 18:04, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi 129.237.92.176. The IP is assigned to the University of Kansas, and someone who was logged onto the computer system there made unreferenced edits to the Oskaloosa page. I removed them and left a message on the IPs talkpage. Obviously multiple people are using the same IP, so I wouldn't worry about it. It is likely that you won't even be notified about this message. Advocacy by CILIP
[edit]Quick hello, I've been updating the page for the charity CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals). CILIP works and advocates for people working in the library and information sector primarily in the UK but also abroad.
Some of the work we do as a charity is campaigning in addition to our work in professional development and informing and shaping policy debates. CILIP's state goal is "To put information and library skills and professional values at the heart of a democratic, equal and prosperous society".
Like Wikipedia, we are looking to promote a more evidence based world with campaigns such as Facts Matter (campaigning for evidence-based election campaigns in the 2017 British election) and A million decisions (promoting evidence based health care). We have also promoted the importance of libraries through campaigns such as My Library By Right.
Whilst these campaigns are promotional, they are designed to further CILIP's goal rather than our financial position. A comparison point is the listing for [[5]], where there is a pointing to the key priorities. Recently you reverted an addition for these campaigns I would be grateful if you could point to how such content could be made more amenable according to Wikipedia's rules.
The reverted listings provided links to these initiatives (a core part of CILIP's functions) but did not try to change people's perspectives. The aims of the campaigns also mirrored those of Wikipedia with its calling for a more information based world.
Your guidance on this matter would be much appreciated

But do remember: Rather than speed, quality and depth of patrolling and the use of correct CSD criteria are essential to good reviewing. Do not over-tag. Make use of the message feature to let the creator know about your maintenance tags. See the tutorial again HERE. Get help HERE.

Greetings... Can you please be more clear on why the article was rejected? because the same article was submitted in Kurdish language and was approved and published. To be honest i find it hard to pinpoint what's exactly wrong with the article. Regarding the sources, i used the ones that i could find that are available online and reliable. The fact that the article was approved in Kurdish further proves authenticity of the information in this article. Thank you very much for your support.Lawen.Sirwan (talk) 08:17, 4 June 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Lawen.Sirwan . As per the note at the top of the page, please direct any further questions to WP:HELPDESK. In regard to the article, for a start the majority of the article is about a company, not the person. The part that is about the person is either largely unsourced or copy and pasted, a violation per WP:CV, and technically, the article should be deleted. If you are unable to address these concerns quickly, I will have no option but nominate the article for speedy deletion. Also, please show respect by taking notice of the note at the top of the edit page. It is there for a reason. Thank-you David.moreno72 09:04, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter
[edit]Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
- Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.
Technology update:
- Several requests have been put into Phabractor to increase usability of the New Pages Feed and the Page Curation toolbar. For more details or to suggest improvements go to Wikipedia:Page Curation/Suggested improvements
- The tutorial has been updated to include links to the following useful userscripts. If you were not aware of them, they could be useful in your efforts reviewing new pages:
- User:Lourdes/PageCuration.js adds a link to the new pages feed and page curation toolbar to your top toolbar on Wikipedia
- User:The Earwig/copyvios.js adds a link in your side toolbox that will run the current page through
General project update:
- Following discussion at Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers, Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Noticeboard has been marked as historical. Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers is currently the most active central discussion forum for the New Page Patrol project. To keep up to date on the most recent discussions you can add it to your watchlist or visit it periodically.

Hey David, appreciate your review and respect your conclusion. I submitted something as consistent with this listing as possible, after I was told that someone else, she, from the Online Marketing Heroes book was listed. Is it the external link to my website? Or merely that I listed myself? The information provided for "My Page" indicated that I could submit a draft for review. Thank you Paul (talk) 15:29, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
Paul (talk) 15:29, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Paul. Wikipedia strongly discourages autobiographies. In addition, after carefully reviewing the references you provided, you don't seem to meet the WP:GNG requirements. I also notice that you also decided to add yourself to the Paul O'Brien (disambiguation) page, which I have had to remove. Disambiguation pages are for links to EXISTING Wikipedia articles, and the addition of red links is not only not permitted, but in my book, vandalism. You also ignored my note at the top of this page that said 'If I declined your Article for Creation, please read the note that I left for you. Any questions should be directed to WP:HELPDESK' So not only did you not read the link that I provided in your declined article, which would have told you that your submission is not suitable for Wikipedia, but you also ignored the note at the top of this page that said that you should direct your questions to the WP:HELPDESK. In future, may I strongly recommend that if you are given a direction of some sort, to heed the advice. It is usually there for a reason. (The reason being in this case is that I review hundreds of AFC's and I do not have the time, nor inclination, to explain in detail the policies of Wikipedia, especially when I have already linked to them. That is what the WP:HELPDESK is for.) Thank you David.moreno72 00:20, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Jhoven Sulla (talk) 04:42, 27 July 2017 (UTC)Hi, and good morning User:David.moreno72, the sources of the page of Manphil is realy mess, i watch this page as for now and one issue i revert to the page of Manfil in english so that is correctly appeared in Calamba City and the Manphil in terms of tagalog that is wrong, i prefer the correctly named is Manfil not Manphil well, is over redirect to fix this issue, dont follow the old reference it will change again and i tag to Kapayapaan Integrated School so is correctly and new named changed by the Division of Calamba, Kapayapaan National High School is a former named, fix that i will never do it again, if you think it might be wrong you leave the message on this talk page, Thank you.
- Hi Jhoven Sulla. Please stop editing Wikipedia. Manphil is the official spelling as per http://www.calambacity.gov.ph/index.php/11-government/102-brgy-canlubang. Don't like it. Then contact the government to change the website. Also, Kapayapaan National High School is also the spelling on the same official website. I have also removed several copyright violations, very poor wording, and really bad colors. You have also been adding non notable names, and adding colored boxes to info boxes. You also leave all sorts of unwanted comments on the page and you still haven't learned to use the preview button. Consider this your final warning. If you make one more unsourced change to any Wikipedia page you will be reported. Thank-you David.moreno72 04:53, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

Images
[edit]I've added the images to Joe Byrne and Dan Kelly's pages. I hope you'll find this compromise satisfactory. - HappyWaldo (talk) 05:16, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi HappyWaldo. The image I added was actually a previous request on the talk page. It's the closest image to the 'money shot'. It's used in Ned Kelly websites and has been featured in journals and newpapers. The most famous of photos, is not 'permitted' in your book. Disgraceful. So it would seem that yet another RfC is required. Really?? David.moreno72 05:38, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- If it's such a famous image then why did you call it "rare" in the edit summary? It can't be both. Also among the copious images of/related to Kelly, it probably falls somewhere in the middle. It's not a visual icon like the lead image, and the engraving of Kelly as "the strange apparition" (featured in the last stand at Glenrowan section) is far more recognisable. I really don't understand this desire of yours to pack the page with images of things that are already well illustrated. - HappyWaldo (talk) 05:52, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi HappyWaldo. We will let the RfC decide shall we. I also noticed that you removed a section resulting from the previous RfC. You had your chance to dispute the RfC and lost. You cannot now change the result. I will restore that section and any further unwarranted changes and you will be reported to ANI. Please respect the RfC process and do not own pages. I do not require your permission to make good faith edits to the Ned Kelly page that are in keeping with WP:IUP. Thank you David.moreno72 06:28, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- Why is the transcription of the tourism marker necessary? What new information is it bringing to the table? - HappyWaldo (talk) 06:53, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi HappyWaldo. You seem to still be under the impression that you own the Ned Kelly page. I'm sorry, but that's not how Wikipedia works. It was restored by the person who closed the RfC. Please respect the RfC process. Per WP:REMOVAL you will now require consensus, say through yet another RfC. Have a read of WP:DELPRO if you require more information. Any violations and you will be reported to ANI. Thank you David.moreno72 07:03, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- In the meantime I see no reason why we can't discuss the matter civilly and perhaps come to a consensus of our own. What is the transcription elucidating that the image itself and caption do not? Also is there another source on the tourism marker? Your photo seems to be the only evidence online that it exists. - HappyWaldo (talk) 07:16, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi HappyWaldo. Sure. If you restore the two images that I recently added, I will restore your edit which removes the transcription. I will even drop the recent RfC to boot. Thank you David.moreno72 07:58, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

Hello, we would like to know what we can add as reliable sources to have the page on 'Jon van Eerd' accepted. This actor already has a page on the Dutch Wikipedia. We feel that since he is working internationally now both as a playwright as well as an actor he deserves an item in the English language section as well. We have added company site (www.pretpakhuis.nl) as well as his own site (www.jonvaneerd.nl) as sources. Both sites provide articles and pages on his work. Can you please help us further? David, can I ask you stop amending the captions to the above. If you want them changed, then raise the issue as a discussion point on the Talkpage. KJP1 (talk) 07:27, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
Yarra Valley Grammar
[edit]Not sure who you are or how familiar with Yarra Valley Grammar you are but the list of notable alumni is supported by the school itself - you seem to suggest it only produces footballers because of the various websites. Check with the school these people are all alumni.

Gender expression
[edit]It should be separated to the growth of imformation. --TGpower (talk) 14:06, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
- TGpower, see WP:REDUNDANTFORK. How would a Gender expression article be different than the Gender variance article? Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 21:13, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
- TGpower, or since the Gender variance article is mainly about being gender-nonconforming, how would the Gender expression article be different than the Gender article (which is where it currently redirects to)? Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 21:17, 17 August 2017 (UTC)
For All I am
[edit]Hey man,
not a problem at all. I know the band personally and was trying to create a page for them. I did this back in 2016 and didn't realize it finally was approved. When I wrote those comments, i didn't realize it was public as it had been denied in the past for lack of sources.
Thank you for helping make the page as accurate as possible. FAIA did not have a lengthly history, so it was hard to include sources.

Additional edit warring by Marc LaCoste
[edit]David, I just spotted your warning to Marc Lacoste about edit warring. I wish to inform you of edit warring here in March and April over edits I attempted to make and to which I devote considerable research and effort. My impression is that Marc believes he owns the article, and it's his way or the highway. I finally simply gave up trying to improve the article (which was flagged as needing improvement, although I see the flag is no longer there). I have seen similar frictions noted on his talk page. I just want you to know that your recent post is not for an isolated incident, and that I believe further action is needed since there is a pattern here.
In my case I sought mediation twice at the Aviation project, but no one jumped in to help nor posted anything on the talk page. So I just had to give up. Coastwise (talk) 07:36, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Coastwise. That's quite a shame. I know what it's like. If you wish to make any further changes and you are being thwarted, just let me know. Cheers David.moreno72 07:39, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
Hi David, you declined the draft Qoob Realtime Frontend Page Builder for Wordpress, which the author has since elected to move into mainspace themselves. I've nominated the page for deletion- you may want to comment there. Thanks, jcc (tea and biscuits) 13:03, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
Hi David.moreno72, I received a notification from you saying you sent me an email, and you wanted to thank me. Unfortunately I couldn't open the notification, as it has exceeded the word count (I think), and I've never received the email. Can you please resend again. Thanks. scope_creep (talk) 09:41, 21 August 2017 (UTC) Hi David, still not received it. Send it to my email. scope_creep (talk) 11:39, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
New Page Reviewer Newsletter
[edit]Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 16,991 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
Technology update:
- Rentier has created a NPP browser in WMF Labs that allows you to search new unreviewed pages using keywords and categories.
General project update:
- The Wikimedia Foundation Community Tech team is working with the community to implement the autoconfirmed article creation trial. The trial is currently set to start on 7 September 2017, pending final approval of the technical features.
- Please remember to focus on the quality of review: correct tagging of articles and not tagbombing are important. Searching for potential copyright violations is also important, and it can be aided by Earwig's Copyvio Detector, which can be added to your toolbar for ease of use with this user script.
- To keep up with the latest conversation on New Pages Patrol or to ask questions, you can go to Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers and add it to your watchlist.
If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, go here. TonyBallioni (talk) 20:33, 24 August 2017 (UTC)
