Replaceable fair use File:Picture of Dan Kanter.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Picture of Dan Kanter.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 18:28, 21 February 2020 (UTC)
Non-free images
Non-free images must meet all of the non-free content criteria. In particular, policy point 1 covering replaceability specifies that it must be the case that a free replacement could not be created. It's not sufficient that you cannot find a free image, or that you personally cannot create a free image. From the non-free content guidelines, "Non-free content should not be used when a freely licensed file that serves the same purpose can reasonably be expected to be uploaded, as is the case for almost all portraits of living people." I hope this explains why the image you uploaded of Dan Kanter is not acceptable. Regards -- Whpq (talk) 00:57, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, Whpq. Yes, I now understand why the photo isn’t acceptable and I will learn from my mistakes. Thank you for the information. Zandor 06:25, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

- Hello Robert McClenon and thank you for reviewing my draft! I understand, I would really like to get some help with other sources than the ones I have collected. Is the Teahouse the way to go for that? :) I got interested in making the article when I saw that a recent source had mentioned the game (It's the one from GameCrate in my draft) and I thought the source showed that the game was still being in development, but I understand now that maybe that is too little information to make the draft worthy of becoming an article. Thank you again for your review and I will try to gather some more sources, it would be nice to get some help though! Zandor 15:45, 24 February 2020 (UTC)

Sulfurboy (talk) 15:37, 28 February 2020 (UTC)Disambiguation link notification for February 23
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Darin (album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Darin (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Ordinary Man
Hy, "Ordinary Man" it's his twelfth studio album but you can't consider "Under Cover" an album like any other... --Noonchalance (talk) 12:55, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Noonchalance: Hello! I understand what you mean, but the definition for it is still a studio album and I can, to some degree, agree that it maybe should be put in another category here. The information has been there for a while though, that's why my tip to you is to mention it on the talk page on the article for Ozzy Osbourne, to see what other editors think about it. Zandor (talk) 13:07, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- I'm assuming that "Garage Inc." (Metallica) is not considered so neither numerically and not even as a category of studio album but as a cover/compilation. --Noonchalance (talk) 13:20, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- Solid point, when I look in to it at this page I'm noticing that it looks the same for Ozzy. I'm not that sure anymore, but I wouldn't change it before addressing it at the appropriate talk page. You got a good point though. Zandor (talk) 13:32, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- All you need to do is cancel your lasts modification and open - you - the discussion! ;) --Noonchalance (talk) 13:40, 1 March 2020 (UTC)

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information. For more information about the columns and categories, please consult the documentation and please get in touch on SuggestBot's talk page with any questions you might have.
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. Swedish charts
Hi. I don't know why you decided this week to start updating the Swedish peaks on Wikipedia, but I'm edit conflicting with you and it's annoying. I do this every week, and you're basically interfering. I get you're Swedish from your user page, and maybe you noticed they hadn't been updated yet, but that doesn't matter. They were going to be done soon. Please stop, as I do not want to have to compete with another editor trying to race to do peaks before me. Thank you. Ss112 14:40, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
When you add releases to an artist's discography, please make sure they're sourced
Per WP:V. You did not source "Fantasi" when you added it to Victor Leksell. You also didn't add a source to Miriam Bryant either. Next time I see this I will revert you. There's no excuse for adding unsourced singles, and it's not difficult to find a source for them. Thanks. Ss112 13:56, 20 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Ss112: I will, thank you for the reminder. Can I just add a source to the Spotify release or do I need an article describing its release? Zandor (talk) 14:02, 20 March 2020 (UTC)
- E-commerce sites like Spotify and Apple Music are acceptable as sources per WP:AFFILIATE, as are an artist's official social media profiles (per WP:TWITTER), but news sources are preferred. Ss112 14:23, 20 March 2020 (UTC)
