Unspecified source/license for Image:Finished The Fantastic Wallpaper5.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Finished The Fantastic Wallpaper5.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 18:42, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Please do not add incorrect information or information contrary to sources like you did in this edit. Such may be considered original research. Thank you. Yves (talk) 00:42, 26 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, wanted to let you know. Widescreen images are not permitted on Soap articles so please stop reverting me. Also, your upload is in the PNG format and they should be JPEG's, thanks --GSorby Chat with Me! 10:36, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jackson Walsh image, sorry didn't know. But if wide-screen images are not allowed in soap articles then I suggest you check out the Aaron Livesy article as well :D x.

I'm glad you you didn't take this as me being an ass but it's the rules ya know. And I'll have a look at Aaron now :) --GSorby Chat with Me! 10:20, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Administrator intervention against vandalism

[edit]

Thank you for your report at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism about 94.6.34.138's edits of List of Shameless characters. However, except in very exceptional circumstances, a report should to Administrator intervention against vandalism should be made only when the editor has received a few warnings, including at least one which indicates the possibility of a block, and has still continued. At the time of your report the IP talk page had had no warnings at all. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:13, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:19, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of Shameless characters. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue.

In particular the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Editors violating the rule will usually be blocked for 24 hours for a first incident.
  3. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording, and content that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. JamesBWatson (talk) 21:21, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Per character images in List of Shameless characters

[edit]

I know you didn't know, but we don't accept the use of non-free images for depiction purposes in character lists such as you did in this article. Please see WP:NFLISTS. Please locate and upload a cast photograph from the show's website or similar and use that once, at the top of the article. That would be acceptable under WP:NFCC, but having a non-free image for every character fails WP:NFCC #3 and #8. I've removed all 17 images, and tagged them as orphaned making them subject to deletion. Please do NOT restore them. If you have questions, ask. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 20:32, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jackson and Aaron

[edit]

Funnily enough you've added a source to them being a fictional super couple.. but haven't provided any correct data. Does it even say they are a super couple in the issue?RAIN*the*ONE BAM 17:13, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it specifically states they are a supercouple and relates them to Hollyoaks's John Paul and Craig.

How convenient, do you have this mag with you. Well it's an offline reference, with no information of the issue number and dates. So it's isn't verified. Also, there needs to be a good source stating they are, JP and Craig can not be backed up with this either but I'll add one. So do the same with Aaron and Jackson and it can stay. Please don't keep reverting.RAIN*the*ONE BAM 17:50, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Puckster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Fair use rationale for File:Efron-DVD.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Efron-DVD.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. File source problem with File:Efron-DVD.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Efron-DVD.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:37, 7 April 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:37, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi Dannybaby1234,

Sorry, but it seems that in the last twenty-four hours I've reverted two of your edits. We have a complex and strict policy on copyrighted images (which are called Non-free images) here. Amy Pond has a free one so that needs to stay and the Rory Williams you uploaded was not low resolution. Also it would have been better to have a different name for this one, with a different rationale. There's more at Wikipedia:Non-free content for screenshots and Wikipedia:Images for images in general. Edgepedia (talk) 06:18, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Mixers-little-mixers.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. JuneGloom Talk 15:44, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Given the amount of notices on your talk page regarding your repeated upload of copyright violating images it is imperative that you either seek assistance prior to uploading any more images, or you cease your uploads altogether. The use of images under Wikipedia's fair use criteria is very limited and you do not appear to have a solid enough understanding of the copyright policies to be adding images at this time. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 04:14, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. A tag has been placed on File:Arden Cho backstage at convention.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Thanks for uploading File:Teen wolf season 4 promo.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Teen Wolf Intertitle

[edit]

Please explain your reverts at File:Teen Wolf Intertitle.png. Per the documentation at {{Infobox television}}, for the "image" entry, [t]ypically the image will be the series' title card. There is no need to change what is broken; also noted is that your version does not meet the free content criteria, as it should be uploaded in low resolution. If you do not reply to this discussion within a week, then that will be reason enough to restore the image to it's former state. Alex|The|Whovian? 22:34, 11 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you do not reply, I will be required to revert your edit. Alex|The|Whovian? 23:52, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the image due to most television shows that I am familiar with on the wiki now using the title logo instead of a title screen. The shows I am referring to being some of the following: Friends, Arrow (TV series), The Flash (2014 TV series), Supernatural (U.S. TV series) etc. And I have recently uploaded a smaller version of the file as so to fit with community guidelines.
Some do, but most still use the intertitle per the template's documentation. If there's no solid reasoning behind changing something that is already perfectly fine and widely accepted by the television project, then a revert to the original will be fine. Per WP:BRD, you made a bold edit, you were reverted because the original was perfectly fine and accepted; now it's time to discuss to form a consensus before reinstating the edit. Perhaps this should be taken to the article's Talk Page, or even the WikiProject. Alex|The|Whovian? 03:27, 14 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The solid reasoning being is that the Teen Wolf intertitle changes every season, the background colour has been grey, blue, red, gold, etc so it makes far more sense to use the Teen Wolf logo for the article as it would not have to be changed again in future.
The fact that it changes really doesn't matter. Really, we could use Season 2's intertitle and not change it. As long as it is an intertitle of any sort from any season, it realistically doesn't need changing. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. uses the Seasons 1-2 intertitle, though the series is on Season 3. Proposed deletion of Malia Tate

[edit]

The article Malia Tate has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Entirely a plot/in-universe point of view, nothing of an encyclopedic sort of entry. (Noted, the image is also listed as "released into the public domain", which is false.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Aaron Allard a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. anemoneprojectors 12:51, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The order the stars are listed in the infobox is determined by the guideline MOS:TVCAST, where it says The cast listing should be ordered according to the original broadcast credits, with new cast members being added to the end of the list. As the end credits of episode one appeared before the title sequence, the end credits of episode one are the original broadcast credits, so to abide by this guideline, we base the cast list on the end credits, so Cole goes before Gill. A tag has been placed on File:Drew Ray Tanner.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://ethnicelebs.com/drew-ray-tanner. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Drew Ray Tanner moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Drew Ray Tanner, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Notice

The article Drew Ray Tanner has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This appears to be the same as the version that was moved to draft space by User:TheBirdsShedTears with the explanation that many of the sources are unreliable or are only trivial mentions, and that the article should be incubated. It is not clear whether the subject satisfies acting notability. The subject does not satisfy general notability in any other way. This biography of a living person should be worked on in draft space and reviewed.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
