Metallica edits
Hi Danny, I might be missing something, but Newsted wasn't credited for Kill 'Em All or Ride the Lightning so on what basis does he belong in the lineup? Flat Out (talk) 02:34, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- Because this was a digital edition, it may not have contained official credits with it. I think it is very possible the sources you show me are using older information which relates to the classic release as opposed to a re-release of them. Newsted deserves credit as part of the Seattle live performances for the digital editions, because the performances are dated three years after Burton's death, and it should be clearly noted that this is all he contributed to. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 03:11, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- I'm happy to leave it, but I disagree that is our place to choose who deserves credits. The recording industry is littered with artists who didn't receive the credit they deserve and I can't see a reliable source that supports him being credited. Best wishes Flat Out (talk) 03:42, 17 January 2017 (UTC)

- Ahh, I remember when this article was just like any other nu metal album article of the past. Excellent work! I am too busy for this at the moment, but if you feel confident enough, go ahead and nominate it and I may jump in if I get the chance. No promises. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 19:52, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Nu metal
Now that Results May Vary is a good article and I am waiting for Spit to be looked at, I am now trying to make the nu metal article better. The article is pretty good right now but we need to fix some things. Some citations do NOT have accessdates and some citations will have the date/accessdate put in the wrong way. For example, instead of looking like this in the editing page, (<ref>{{cite web |url=website.com |title=Website |publisher=Website.com |date=March 15, 2009 |accessdate=January 14, 2015}}</ref>) it would look like this in the editing page. (<ref>{{cite web |url=website.com |title=Website |publisher=Website.com}} (March 15, 2009). Retrieved on January 14, 2015</ref>) There are over 400 citations on the nu metal article and I finished fixing the characteristics and fashion part of the nu metal article. Wanna work together to get this done? Statik N (talk) 00:40, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
- When I complete All We Know Is Falling and Take Off Your Colours, I will see what I can do. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 02:53, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
- I could remove some stuff from the Criticism and controversy part of the nu metal article. Statik N (talk) 23:26, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
Spit album
I know I sound impatient, but how long does it take for somebody to review the Spit (album) article? For many articles I have nominated, it took only like 1 or 2 weeks to get reviewed. Statik N (talk) 23:24, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- Took me six months to get The Open Door reviewed. Remember that Results May Vary took almost three (though that was taken on a GA trade deal and may have taken longer otherwise). dannymusiceditor Speak up! 23:27, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- I might try to get Results May Vary featured. But to do that, I'll have to remove stuff from the critical reception part of the Results May Vary article. I will also need to add 1 or 2 sound samples on the article but sadly, my new computer can't upload sound samples. Statik N (talk) 23:29, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- (Me: inside: "Lol why bother showing its sound, the album's terrible and the Wiki article's good education on why") But really, it's not explicitly necessary, though it is nice sometimes. In fact, I've been told that usually I shouldn't do that, even though I have seen a few album GAs with samples. Just roll with whatever you feel best with. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 23:33, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- Well, Reign in Blood doesn't have any sound samples so I guess I don't need any sound samples. Other than making the critical reception part shorter, what other things could I work on for the Results May Vary article? Statik N (talk) 23:39, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- I only have one FA and it wasn't really mine to begin with, I just joined in. I would get that Peer reviewed. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 23:52, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

Category:[nationality] rock songs is change
Hi Danny, A user named Synthwave.94 ransacked Category:[nationality] rock songs without leave a message on the talk page. Can you handle it by returning back all artists' songs category to the home category, Category:[nationality] rock songs? After all artists' songs category are finished transferred into Category:[nationality] rock songs, can you also delete all subgenres' subcategory in Category:[nationality] rock songs? After all, can you leave a message on every genre and/or nationality songs category like Category:Songs by artist? Synthwave.94 strongly dislike unsources and I just like Category:[nationality] rock songs inhabited by more than 2,000 artists' songs category. Thanks. Wisnu Aji (talk) 18:14, 30 January 2017 (UTC)

Your summaries
Hi, DannyMusicEditor. I noticed a few of your recent summaries have been rather hostile. Such as those to AntiComposite and an IP editor and while I think many of us can understand the frustration from an editor who seemingly isn't here to contribute to the encyclopedia or just wont listen (re: the IP editor), hostile and aggressive comments are discouraging to other editors and makes collaboration a bit difficult, so please be a bit more civil. If you're finding an editors behavior very taxing, perhaps take a break from that article for a bit and let an administrator deal with it. Cheers! Flatlists
Thank you for asking. I agree with you that flatlists are better than commas and I use to think that flatlists can be used on every list no matter how many items are in the list. But there was this one time where I added a flatlist to a list with only two items and it was reverted and I was told that flatlists are only for longer lists. I've just heard many times afterwards that flatlists are only for lists with four or more items. So I do agree with you that flatlists are better than commas, but I don't know who to believe. - I don't know why 4TheWynne, of all people, gave in to your stupid idea. I have much more reasonable edits and I still have more frequent conflict with him than most other users. Ultimate Guitar simply tagging it "Alternative metal, thrash metal, heavy metal" at the top wasn't enough. Seems I misunderstood the kind of "consensus" you were talking about at first, I thought it had something to do with the notes.
Besides, the notes keep idiots who don't know what they're talking about from fiddling with the genre field...not that you're necessarily one of them, just look at how many IPs fuck with it in the edit history. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 20:53, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

My Immortal genre
Hello. I have noticed that there have been conflicts regarding "My Immortal"'s genre. There is this source that describes the song as "goth-meets-pop", which means the song is a gothic rock and pop song; at least, that's the source I used when working on the spanish version of the article. Regards, --Paparazzzi (talk) 19:40, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
- I saw that! So it was you who wrote the Spanish version? Great work on that. However, I personally think "goth" is not really enough to mean gothic rock, though. I know some people who would argue strongly against that if that's all there was, so I try to go with the outcome I think will make the least amount of problems. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 04:44, 2 April 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the compliment , though I partially translated the article from this wiki, haha. Well, I understand your point, I used the 'gothic rock' genre because, according to Wikipedia, 'goth music' and 'gothic rock' are the same thing, but using the more comprehensive 'rock' genre will cause less problems. Regards, --Paparazzzi (talk) 05:26, 4 April 2017 (UTC)

If one wishes to call an article a "hoax", one should not remove sourcing from article that indicates it was created in good faith. Due diligence checks revealed sourcing sufficient to show not a hoax. Imagine my surprise when I found sourcing had been removed from article. Though the name and content of the album may be nebulous at this time. Would send to AfD for fuller discussion of article's merits/demerits. Dlohcierekim 10:26, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- But those sources aren't even relevant to the article. What makes it a hoax is its name AND tracklist. I looked for a tracklist. Not even that odd German Amazon source had anything, I don't think. I think he made it up. That's why I thought it a hoax and nothing more than made up garbage. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 12:10, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- I AGF that an overly enthusiastic fan just used bad info, drew unwarranted conclusions. If there were no upcoming album, then the argument for a hoax would be there. There are sources, just none that help us build an article. My favorite hoax article was about the rare and elusive tree-octopus of the American northwest. Dlohcierekim 13:29, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
Paramore
Hello there, friend. Hey listen, since you've done work on Paramore-related articles before, do you think you could keep an eye on the song article "Hard Times" for copyedits? I'm planning for that article to become my next GA. Kokoro20 (talk) 07:26, 22 April 2017 (UTC)
- I've added it to my watchlist, and will check on it if major expansions are made and I think could be written better. Haven't even listened to it yet. Heard they went indie pop. What do you think of it? dannymusiceditor Speak up! 01:33, 23 April 2017 (UTC)
- I love the song. I must have listened to like 30 times straight. It really is one of my favorite songs by them to date. I'm not sure if I would call it indie pop though. It's basically like "Still Into You", (another GA of mine) but taken up to 11.
- Anyway, yeah, I'm about to add a few more things to the article, then wait for a copyedit before nominating it for GA. My goal is to get it to GA before the album itself comes out. Kokoro20 (talk) 09:41, 23 April 2017 (UTC)
Nu Metal
If you wanted a prose review (instead of a more general perspective about all issues in an article), you should list the article at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests. It takes a while for someone to pick it up, a month or so, but they'll do it. However, we would have to close the GAN review while it is up to copy edit review, and then you may nominate it again. Cambalachero (talk) 13:33, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
- It was copyedited already (see the hidden article milestones on the talk page). However, it was over a year ago, so if you want it done again, I request that. I would prefer the review be continued unless you truly thought it was excessive, but that's not my call. Talk to the nominator about it. At the very least, if you think it's not good enough, I'd like to know what else you thought needed fixed so we could track progress easier. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 21:17, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

Johnny April
AllMusic says that there was an early bassist in Staind who later left. Johnny April never left Staind. It could be that the early bassist before Johnny April (if there is one) was in the band for a little bit and then a few months later or something, Johnny April joined. It could be that Johnny April plays bass on Tormented. I don't have a physical copy of the Tormented album, but I bet that the CD booklet or something for Tormented says that Johnny April played bass on Tormented. We need "Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction" by Loudwire to get the truth for us. Statik N (talk) 21:11, 1 May 2017 (UTC)

- I'm going to assume you're honest and legit. I'm happy I got to talk with you and I'd be glad to help you get an attempt going with your request for change. I don't know if I'm allowed to do the things you've requested, that may be outside of my wheelhouse. I think you may be possibly notable for your own page, because if I remember correctly you've been involved in more than one notable band (according to Wikipedia's definition of notability), i.e. being involved in more than one band that has a Wikipedia page in English.
- I'd still suggest, however, talking to an admin about all this rather than me (because I'm not). They have probably about 15-20 times the experience I do in terms of registered edits. Huntster primarily tends to Evanescence and related articles, he might know a thing or two. Sergecross73 is and admin that works on heavy metal related articles. Binksternet is also an extremely experienced editor of all types of music and while I'm not sure if he's an admin, he could probably get you in the right direction. Tell them I referred you.
- Also, if that is you, would you care to give me a yes/no to if the way it is now is your real name? The only real reliable reference that gave me that was a Facebook post that I don't think exists anymore. I put it there, at first, but the original thing is gone now. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 23:41, 5 May 2017 (UTC)
- Update: The other band you were involved with that I was talking about, Dream Evil, shows you were involved for a very short amount of time. That would be why your page is continually being deleted or redirected; because you have only had notable involvement with one notable group and there's not a ton of reliable, encyclopedic information on you (unless you can provide some references which do, which we'd love!). dannymusiceditor Speak up! 00:08, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
- It looks like Jake E would like his real name removed. The problem with that request is that his real name is mentioned in lots of places, for instance this magazine. So Wikipedia is not revealing some secret, private information. Rather, Wikipedia summarizing for the reader what has been published. Binksternet (talk) 01:45, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
- Note: I put that in Wikipedia before that article was published (we're talking before 31 March 2017). I found it on a social media site and on Dream Evil's page, but Dream Evil no longer reads that exact name. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 02:18, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
- Danny, you inserted his last name on October 6, 2015.[1] Somebody in Norway put the first name in on January 19, 2016.[2] Neither of these was referenced which is not cool. However, this interview from 2011 clearly states the last name (the link is an archive from 2013) so it certainly predates your 2015 insertion. Also, the first name and last name are both published in this interview from March 2014, and this interview from November 2014. So I think if we put these interviews in place as references then the full name may be relayed to the reader. Binksternet (talk) 03:39, 6 May 2017 (UTC)
- I didn't really become a model editor until around, eh, maybe January 2016, I'd say. Not very good of me. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 03:49, 6 May 2017 (UTC)

Your reversal of my Chop Suey! (song) edit
I edited the page to mention that after Anthony Vincent released his '20 styles' cover of Chop Suey!, popular demand led him to release a full "Ghost-style" cover. You chose to revert my edit, saying "Why make Ghost any more special than the 20 others he did." I would think the significance of the edit was self-evident. His first cover only contained short snippets of different styles. Based on the response to the Ghost segment of that cover, he was encouraged to take the time and effort to create and release an entire Ghost-style cover. I thought that qualified as 'special' enough to add to the page. [Chop Suey! Evanescence genre
I mean it's announced that it's a classical album in general. Even if there were one or two rock songs that wouldn't make the album "rock" would it? Also if you check her FB account you can see the sneak peeks for her new works. Do you just expect her to go like "oh we were just joking we weren't really releasing classical music" at some point? —Lost Whispers talk 14:27, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
- Honestly, this is a bigger issue than I'd like to discuss on my page; please take it to the talk page. At the moment, we've opposed any type of genre, but that will change (they accepted a plan I have yet to implement). See what other think about it, there are more people involved with the project than you think. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 18:24, 18 June 2017 (UTC)
- The main contributor to the article is you and Huntster, I haven't noticed all these other members of the "project." Considering that no one will actually reply to my suggestion, I don't think it's worth the effort to bring it up on the talk page. Most of the time I don't get a reply, and once I actually edit the articles, my edits are reverted.—Lost Whispers talk 06:44, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
- My point is that people have been wrong about what they say early on, things change sometimes, and it's too early to say if there's that much of a change to say that a genre field change is necessary after only one album in the category. I mean, surely we wouldn't call HIM an electronic group after they release SWRMXS, right? dannymusiceditor Speak up! 13:06, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

Fightstar and databases
Hey I'm back, and I've brought possibly a big problem. As a student at the University of Utah, I get free access to a number of databases, and after a casual look through these databases, it turns out there's A LOT of material about Fightstar in music magazines and newspapers (like A LOT). For example, the first twenty results on the ProQuest database are from Music Week, which are either interviews, news articles, or reviews of albums and singles. In contrast, there is only one use of Music Week in the Wikipedia article. NewsBank also offers a decent amount of useful articles. Some of it is from unreliable tabloids, but there's also a few local newspapers with interviews. I could scan a few of the articles for you, but there's so much to read through. I'm also not quite sure how much will be useful, or how much is already in the article. If we want to get technical, the Fightstar nomination may fail 1b of the FA criteria. Now there is a way of getting around this. The Wikipedia Library gives free access to a number of databases to editors if they apply. EBSCO has the same information as ProQuest (I checked), and HighBeam also has most of the information for NewsBank. It may take a couple of days to be accepted, but I think it's worth it. For example I've been doing some work on The Sufferer & the Witness, and I've used the online databases for a number of invaluable sources. EBSCO doesn't have Alternative Press or Kerrang! (which is especially annoying for me, since Alternative Press just loves Rise Against, and has posted boatloads of magazine only articles on the band), but it does have Music Week, Rolling Stone and Billboard. Famous Hobo (talk) 23:09, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
- That's a shame, but I appreciate the information. At least I get good feedback on the article. Thank you. I had heard of EBSCO before but I never knew we had free access. Sucks that they don't get Kerrang, they've probably got the most appearances in there since it's a British publication and that's where they're biggest (even though I'm American). dannymusiceditor Speak up! 23:17, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
- I don't think the nomination is an automatic fail right now, but until you get access to those databases, there's possibly a lot of information missing from that article. Like I said, it'll take a few days to be given access, and you can get it before the nomination stays stagnant for too long. Even if EBSCO doesn't have new information pertaining to Fightstar, it's still nice to have for other articles. As for Kerrang, I've been looking for an editor who has access to that magazine (or knows a way of getting access). Not having Kerrang doesn't hurt me as much, but they did give The Black Market a perfect score, and it seems a bit weird to exclude a perfect score for any album. Cliff Burton's corpse plays bass now?
So, you're claiming that Cliff Burton's corpse played on the 1989 live tracks on the Kill 'Em 'All digitial reissue? That's facinating. I'm sure you have proof of that! I'd love to see it. --Jayron32 13:38, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- Of course not. Those are liner notes which say Cliff Burton played on the original release. There was discussion not to include the live credits with Jason in it a while ago, maybe not on the article's talk page. Cliff is the one who played there, that section is for the original release. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 13:48, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- Ahh, shit, you've confused me now. Now you have it in addition to Burton in there. My apologies. I don't think we should even have that there, but whatever the outcome is of that I don't care. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 13:50, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

Evanescence
Hey Danny. I just saw some of the amazing job you did with several Evanescence articles that I had started in the past but never got to properly finish and promote. I also saw that you already successfully promoted a good topic and are going for a second one, never forgetting to mention my contributions. I use this opportunity to thank you a lot for that. I'm also planning on finishing some of the song articles that I left in the past (e.g. "Going Under", "Lithium") and will be around to edit the new ones i.e. Synthesis which I started today and I think it'd be super cool to collaborate with you on the last one (if you're up for that of course). Cheers. My love is love 17:04, 15 August 2017 (UTC)

Overlinking?
Hi Danny, I notice that you reverted some of my changes saying it's not the norm. I wasn't aware of this rule, could you point out where it says that linking the album in the single's section is not ok? There must be a lot more stuff there that I'd like to read, I just haven't been able to find it.
Also, do you know where or who do I have to talk to in order to reconsider this wikipedia rule? I think that making it easier for users to navigate by providing links it's a good idea. Usually, people looking at a discography, when there's browsing the single section, they would like to go to the album of that single and the quick link in the same section is very useful. I know they could browse to the album section to find it, but if it's under compilations, they'll have to check that section, same goes for box sets. They could also just use their browser's search function but wouldn't it be better and faster to just have the link right there?
Thanks! Felipe (talk) 20:33, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- I very much appreciate your time messaging me first! It just never has been the thing to do, really. I've read some Featured List candidates which told the nominators to remove that, and if that was the supported opinion by everyone in that candidacy, surely I would have to assume it's the best way to do it. Evanescence's was a Featured List I got promoted, so that's where I noticed it first. It's not clear to me if you've said you read WP:OVERLINK, but if it's not clearly covered there, the next place I would suggest would be to start a discussion at Wikiproject Discographies. They may have an archived conversation about it somewhere around there, but I can't be sure. I don't know if that's the right place, but it's my best guess. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 02:26, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, I read WP:OVERLINK but it's not clear there, that's why I asked. It had a feeling that it was one of those implied rules after some conversation. I would like the links there, but if the majority agreed not to, that's all right. I guess, somebody should just update WP:OVERLINK to mention this rule. Thanks for taking the time to answer, and great work with the Evanescence's page! Felipe (talk) 07:11, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. If you're worried about account security, feel free to create a legit sock which you edit from when in public. As long as you disclose that it's you, there's nothing wrong with that. Sro23 (talk) 19:45, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
- *sigh* The reason I locked myself out of my main account in the first place was to limit my Wikipedia editing. If I made one here, that would defeat the purpose. I'll make sure to disclose when writing messages, but I guess I should limit talk page messages too. (DannyMusicEditor) 104.39.21.217 (talk) 19:56, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

Tbnotch said that he/she was going to approve the article as a good until we started reverting each other's edits over the singles. Brackish is sourced (1999) and so is Paperdoll. Charlotte isn't. However, I found a Kittie interview (www.bleedingmetal.com/interview/) but it doesn't say the date. it is possible to find the date. Tbnotch said that all single dates must be sourced, or shouldn't be there. Never mind, all single release dates are now sourced in the body. Statik N (talk) 02:00, 9 September 2017 (UTC)
Godsmack
Do we not want accuracy on these articles? I don't understand why so many wiki-nazis are trashing these articles lately, but it's making a mess out of this once great website. People come here for info. Correct info. Wikipedia should be able to give it to them. In the case of Godsmack, Sully Erna is not only a singer and guitarist, he's also a drummer. He played all the drums on their debut album, and still plays them in concert today. Even if we wanted to get technical, and stick to the rule of pulling info directly from the album credits, it would be listed as "stuff." Now I don't think that looks very professional on here, but if we're going to remove "drums" from next to his name for the sake of accuracy, then we should add "stuff" instead. No, not the best idea. How about we just do it correctly, and leave "drums" next to his name, with the aforementioned dates as well. Keep Wikipedia true.UtahCountryBoy (talk) 14:49, 11 September 2017 (UTC)

A long time ago, I made some edits to A Lesson in Romantics in the hopes of seeing it one day promoted to "good article" status. The Sufferer & the Witness
Hi there,
Hope life is treating you well, or at least isn't kicking your ass :). It's good to see your still active, even if it's just minor corrections and vandalism reverts. I finally stopped procrastinating and got around to "almost" finishing The Sufferer & the Witness (that Rise Against good topic will happen eventually. Eventually...) I still want to work on the opening of the reception section, but I kind of wanted an outside perspective on how the article looks as a whole (been working on it for too long and I'm afraid I'm missing some key information). Not looking for a formal peer review mind you, but a simple comment on the article would really help. Thanks! Famous Hobo (talk) 02:55, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
@Famous Hobo: Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Happy spooky week. I think the article looks well-sourced, and covered enough for GA status. I have not nitpicked at the writing or MOS of it yet, but it looks good. I do have a question: Why did you remove the review boxes from all the albums?
I also saw your edit on the discography page, perhaps there should be a bot to do that job. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 17:18, 28 October 2017 (UTC)

Soundgarden
Hello:
The copy edit that you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Soundgarden has been completed.
A few suggestions, which I'm sure you're aware of:
In the lede the band's sales to 2012 have been noted along with citations. These numbers should be updated, if possible, for both the lede and the body of the article. The citation should be in the body of the article, not the lede.
The Post-breakup section needs to be fully cited.
There are some citation issues in the Musical Style and Influences section. This sentence:
They[who?] also mentioned "Metallica Gothicism and sublime poetry. The almost ethereal flavour of the name betrays the brutality of the music but never pins Soundgarden in one corner".[122]
makes no sense. If you have access to the source it could be clarified, or simply omitted, if not.
The paragraph on time signatures needs to be cited.
This was not meant to be a comprehensive list, and in your request you mention the need for citations, so I'm sure you have a clear idea of what needs to be done.
Good luck with the FA.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Regards,
Twofingered Typist (talk) 13:23, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

Non-free use of File:Sugar, We're Goin Down.ogg
Hi DannyMusicEditor. Each use of a non-free file is required to have a seperate specific non-free use rationale per WP:NFCC#10c. This file has a non-free use rationale for the use in Sugar, We're Going Down, but it does not have a non-free use rationale for the article about the band. If you believe non-free use is justified in that article, please provide the required rationel per WP:NFCCE since files lacking a rationale for particular use can clearly be removed for not satisfying Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. You should be aware, however, of WP:JUSTONE because while the file's non-free use in the article about the song might seem obvious, the non-free use in the band's article might not be so obvious. So, any rationale provided for the band article should be specific to that particular use and explain how the file satisfies all ten non-free content criteria for that particular use, and not just a copying and pasting of the rationale for the song. As for the GA review you mentioned in your edit sum, just because an non-free file is used in a GA/FA article does not mean the particular use automatically complies with Wikipedia's non-free content use policy as explained in WP:ITSGA. I'm not sure why the reviewers missed that the file was lacking the required rationale during its review at Talk:Fall Out Boy/GA2#Second Opinion request, but it doesn't appear that a non-free use rationale was ever added for that particular use from looking at the file's history page. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:57, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
- Then I shall promptly add a rationale, I am very confident it meets criteria. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 21:28, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
DannyMusicEditor, you've had this review opened for nearly two months now without beginning it, which is far too long. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:47, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
- BlueMoonset, If you insist, I shall. It is no. 20 on the list, but some of my final exams are out of the way, so I will do so soon. What say you, however, about HIM (Finnish band)? I'm concerned for that one bc I'd like it to be done before a year passes, and it's coming mighty close. The reviewer hasn't edited Wikipedia since he took the review, I think. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 03:20, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. If you're in the middle of finals, I have no problem with you waiting until your exams are over if you wouldn't be editing here otherwise. (The number of the list is irrelevant; what's key is time since opening the review.) Thanks for pointing out HIM (Finnish band). It's really bad that it's been waiting since December 2016 to get a reviewer. I'll put a note on the putative reviewer's page letting them know that the delay, especially under the circumstances, is not acceptable, and that if they haven't communicated by the point they've had it open for a month (the end of the Wikipedia day on December 10), we'll have to consider the review abandoned and put it back into the pool. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:39, 8 December 2017 (UTC)
- BlueMoonset, I have already sent StudiesWorld a notice, but that was shortly after Thanksgiving, and I'm not sure he'll even notice.
