Hello, Permafrost. I just Googled A7F and I found plenty of Avenged Sevenfold results. I really can't provide sources that well, but if there's a source I'll find one :)

I've tried citing sources before, but I don't know what I need to and don't need to know/look for, etc. If you could help with that, that'd be nice. Thank you.

Hello! What you need to do there is add an inline citation. There are several tools you can use for adding inline citations, but I really recommend the introduction to referencing tutorial. Homesick

The song is certified gold beacuase of the single downloads on iTunes. It was never released as a single, though. If a song goes gold, doesn't mean it's a single. --Zack Tartufo (talk) 23:25, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

If you noticed, on the RIAA site the official release date of If It Means a Lot to You is "February 3, 2009". That's exactly the same release date of Homesick, and it's a clear proof that the song was never released as a single but was published within the album. --Zack Tartufo (talk) 23:54, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

discogs

Genres are hard to find real sources for on the internet (since most sites like allmusic will just post the same genres for a single band's entire discography, even if the albums fall completely out of the loop). So how is discogs unreliable? You're talking about the Puddle of Mudd album, right? That ref was not specific enough, and many similar sites are banned from referencing genres on Wikipedia, such as the Ultimate Guitar Archive, iTunes and Amazon. Their reviews are user-submitted, and the people who post things like this do not elaborate enough on why the music is classified as such.

You know, there's a source about that on the nu metal page...why would I have to cite one? They do exist, after all.

And this is besides that point, but look at Korn. Pioneering force in nu metal. Obvious grunge influence. Listen to Jon Davis' vocals. Geez.
