What's left of the CIFL
The Erie Explosion, as you probably well know, just left the CIFL. That leaves five teams on the official “list” of teams that haven't left yet. Of the five, four of them were the ones that stopped playing midseason this year. The other is the Dayton Sharks, and from what I've looked at, the only activity I have seen from them is on their Twitter, which appears to be outsourced to some social media company and is spewing content totally unrelated to the team—which leads me to suspect (even though there isn't a verifiable source for this) that that team no longer exists, either. Now, I know that you do a lot of editing on the CIFL pages and I want to ask you before I do this: Do you think it's OK now to go ahead and start referring to the league in the past tense? J. Myrle Fuller (talk) 21:33, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
Sure, I already thought about starting this and added it to requested articles sports a while ago. Appreciate the offer. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 14:19, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
Outlaws
This is confusing. At least the other team was called the Portland Storm too. I could still see people linking Las Vegas Outlaws to the wrong team. Also, the player category for the new team will probably be called Las Vegas Outlaws (Arena) players or something. Dallas Texans is a disambiguation page with Dallas Texans (NFL) and Dallas Texans (Arena) also the categories are named like Category:Dallas Texans (Arena) players. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 19:36, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- Idk, you can change it if you want. The Texans thing is probably like that because of the Chiefs being called the Texans and that would be confusing if Dallas Texans redirected to the Chiefs page. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 19:40, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
Sorry for being annoying but lol. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 19:43, 22 November 2014 (UTC)

CAFL
Someone needs to add the team colors to the player infoboxes. I can't find the official colors though. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 17:13, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- I've eye-ball the colors using Wikipedia's color templates. I'll add them to the NFL Colors. 17:46, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- Also, do you think the CAFL plays by the official arena football rules. If they don't, it's technically indoor American football. They do have the rebound nets. The AFL gave them the rights to start the league, so it may be the official rules. I was just wondering because I was gonna add it to the Arena football page WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 19:13, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- I believe it is 100% the same rules as evidence in this video DMC511 19:26, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- Yh, according to the source, they gave them the rights to start an arena football league too. Also, the CAFL briefly changed their name to the China American Football League, so they wouldn't have needed the rights from the AFL if they were just getting them for the name. Big Ten positional awards
Hi. I noticed you're adding Big Ten positional awards such as "linebacker of the year" and "running back of the year", etc to infoboxes. These are generally left out of infoboxes because they're deemed minor. We've been trying to cut back on what we include in the infoboxes, because they tend to become cluttered as more and more stuff is added. Thanks, Lizard (talk) 22:47, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

- what color do you want set for the border? Their pictures seem to indicate that a 3rd color is not very present in the uniform, however their logo shows the light blue as a very prevalent color. DMC511 (talk) 03:34, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not sure. Their colors seem similar to the Portland Steel's. The Steel has silver as the border, which is also listed on the Baltimore Brigade page. We could make the border silver but you can put whatever you want. You update the colors more than me. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 03:43, 31 January 2017 (UTC)

Brohm
Nice work on the article. It seems comprehensive. You can check over the changes I made. Here are some notes:
- The article says "The Cardinals offense struggled under the coaching change" but then it says Brohm broke records. Just making sure this is correct.
- The prose of the pro football career section doesn't say when he played for the teams. Maybe you could add when he signed and was released by each team.
- In the Louisville section, do you think it might be a good idea to add some more info on Jeff himself. This might be hard to find for an assistant coach though.
- Also in some places, the article says things like "LeFors and Brohm did not disappoint". Some people might interpret those phrases as WP:PEACOCK words. The source listed doesn't actually say they didn't disappoint. I'm not picky about this and I won't remove it but if you were gonna nominate the article to be a WP:Good article, a reviewer would probably bring it up.
- Maybe you could expand his 2014 and 2015 seasons at Western Kentucky.
Thanks. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 04:39, 31 January 2017 (UTC)

IFL standings: Key for elimination
I seem to notice with the current standings of the Indoor Football League, Green Bay and Cedar Rapids appear to be eliminated from IFL playoff contention, but I also don't see a key for eliminated teams. On the Champions Indoor Football standings for this year, I'm using a placeholder e to represent teams that are eliminated from CIF playoff contention. Could we possibly use that letter to indicate eliminated teams here as well? Jd02022092 (talk) 15:45, 10 May 2017 (UTC)

Hello DMC511. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers

The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.
- URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
- Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
- Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
- Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Carolina Cobras
Do you know how the Carolina Cobras supposedly finished in fourth place in their division in 2000. I was editing the record table on Doug Kay and wasn't sure if they finished in 4th or 5th. These pages say 4th [1][2] but I'm not sure because the Cobras had a worse division record than the Bobcats and lost both of the games that they played against the Bobcats. - It appears they did not according to the AFL website. Nice catch WikiOriginal-9! DMC511 (talk) 02:45, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
- Nice job finding the source. Those standings only have 13 out of the 14 games. Do you think anything would have changed in the final week to make the Cobras be in 4th place. If not, we need to update the 2000 Arena Football League season page. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 02:49, 1 August 2017 (UTC)

- If you the see the parameter empty anywhere, feel free to remove it though. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 21:33, 20 August 2017 (UTC)
Inactive reserve
Are we including inactive reserve players in the ArenaBowl champ templates. For example, should Torez Jones be listed at Template:ArenaBowl XXX since he was on inactive reserve. Also, what is your opinion on "Refused to report", "League suspension" and "Other league exempt". WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 03:35, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- I've went ahead and removed any "Refused to report", "League suspension" and "Other league exempt" players and kept inactive reserve players in the AB templates. The other three aren't really a part of the team while inactive players still are and get paid for it [3][4]. Feel free to tell me what you think. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 20:33, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
- I think you did the right thing.DMC511 (talk) 20:47, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
Ryan Willis
I saw you added Ryan Willis' birthday. However, another use recently changed it to 1996. How did you find his birthday? Thanks, WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 01:27, 14 October 2017 (UTC)
- WikiOriginal-9 It looks like I just had a copy error from Montell Cozart.DMC511 (talk) 16:02, 14 October 2017 (UTC)
Hi - a quick note to check with you about a recent revert, on the above noted page. Template:Infobox NFL biography notes for the field in question, "if important to understanding a player's college career history, an additional college team may be included." Given Jones' very atypical playing timeline while in college, listing both of his college teams (and years that he played) in the infobox, seems helpful. Thoughts? Thanks. Template:Texas Southern Tigers baseball coach navbox
As I was going over new pages, I found Template:Texas Southern Tigers baseball coach navbox. It needs at least two more articles created or else it fails WP:EXISTING and I will nominate the template for deletion. Would you like to create to other articles so that it doesn't get deleted? Corky 00:23, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- If you're going to update articles for coaches, please keep other things in mind:
#If they're no longer the coach, please remove the "Current {conference} head coach navbox" from the bottom of the articles- In the conference navboxes, just list "Vacant" as that is the standard for the navboxes. Corky 01:27, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for catching my mistakes. I struck out number 1. Corky 01:31, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
