Autocourse request

Since you've now got it, please could you add this year's number one driver to the list in the Autocourse article? Thanks,--Diniz(talk) 15:34, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Huh

IDK you liked Hunting. SteelersFan-94 22:24, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

08 Brit GP

Thanks for the offer. If you'd be willing to reference things like the official name etc. in the infobox to Autocourse when you get a chance, that'd be great (as has been done with Brazil). Long way to go yet, but hopefully should get some time over the next few days to work on the article. I've got the issue of F1 Racing that followed the race so I'll probably be using that with some of the sourcing. I'll let you know if I'm needing anything else. Merry Christmas!

My first Christmas on the Wiki (I want an FA for Christmas!) Apterygial 12:30, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Don't you mean Sandy Claus? Apterygial 06:07, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
That was a shocker. Apterygial 08:49, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
I reinstated the old race summary and removed the construction tag so the page was still functioning encyclopedically (if not very well). With AlexJ working on the British, you on Australia, and me on China (very slowly), we might actually be moving towards the goal! Apterygial 09:02, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

E-mail

I've sent you e-mail. ayematthew 20:10, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: 08JGP FAC

I can understand where Ling.Nut is coming from. The question here is not placing the article in context, but placing the elements in context within the article itself. For example, I say Fisichella retired, but no further explanation is given, either there or in Post-race, about why that was worth mentioning. Obviously, an F1 nut like you or I would say that the fact it happened on track and to some extent decided the standings after the race is justification in itself, but that might not be enough. Your reference to 1b is somewhat undermined by the language of the criterion itself: "it neglects no major facts or details and places the subject in context." So the questions we have to answer here are 1. whether the Fisichella fact (for example) is a "major fact" and 2. whether the incident was placed in context in the article. So at this stage, as I said on the FAC page, I'll wait for Ling.Nut to provide an expansion to their comments. I'm also going to put my other projects on hold, as I think this FAC could be a watershed with regards to how we, and WP:F1 as a whole, approach the writing of race reports and race incidents. My intention on this article is to improve it and make it the best it can be, not simply tailor it to pass FAC. Cheers, Apterygial 11:59, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Question

Seeing that you are semi-retired I'm hoping you'll get this message. I was looking at SummerSlam (1995) and noticed it seemed to be finished and possibly passable at GAN. You are the one who expanded it. Why did you quit working on it in August?--WillC 10:53, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I was just looking at what WWE articles have been expanded and to what class. I came across SummerSlam and was wondering why it was not taken to GAN. That means I'm older than you, possibly. I was born August 18, 1991.--WillC 23:50, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
So that means you are 16. Have you got your permit or license yet? Plus I still think you last about 3 hours and a half before it is 2009. Though you probably live in a different country than me.--WillC 01:35, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, it was the new year to you then.--WillC 23:00, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing the tables in Lockdown.--WillC 22:40, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

That wasn't a 3RR, I changed it one time and it had a source! Kalajan 20:09, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

F60

I'm not sure if you're considering it, but I think you should put that bit to DYK. I think it's quite interesting. LeaveSleaves 11:03, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

Re:Lola T93/30

Thanks! A GAN would have to wait until mid-to-late March though, as I'm back at uni again and don't have access to the books that I referenced the article with. Similarly, I'm afraid I won't have access to the 1995 Autocourse until then. I also returned to uni last weekend without that week's Autosport, so I can't remember the list, except for the fact that the Honda RA107 was ranked at number one.--Diniz(talk) 14:23, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Sorry

I'm very sorry for being a bit uncivil, but it wasn't necesary to report me, I mean it, I'm trying very hard to be like User:Hazardous Matt or SimonKSK, even you if I knew you better! Kalajan 17:25, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Okay, I just meant a civilised cool user, not a bad-tempered warrior. Kalajan 17:53, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Re:terms

I was going to reference once I'd added a fair bit and I don't have to go out in 5 minutes, like I have to now. Apterygial 09:53, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

I edit conflicted with you with fixing the typo in List of motorsport terminology. Thanks for taking care of it. I had left an edit summary that I was done with it for the moment, so you can work on it now if you'd like. Royalbroil 15:52, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Sorry about the reverting. I did a lot of the copy editing to get it through FA, so I thought I was familiar with it.[1] I will take it off my watchlist. Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 20:38, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Library

Just before you get really going, may I suggest that the section is called "Biographies" rather than "Autobiographies"? Biographies encompasses autobiographies as well, while autobiographies excludes biographies written by a third party. Just a thought. Readro (talk) 14:28, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Well, if you look at it like that then it could be, but I'd consider it a "Marque History". I associate the word biography with people. Readro (talk) 14:49, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Just FYI, the Motor Sport archives are not media as such. They are DVDs which contain an archive of all the editions of the Motor Sport magazine in the given decade. For instance, if I want to read Motor Sport from March 1965, I put my 1960s disc in my computer, browse to 1965, click on March and I can read the magazine on my computer screen! So really, I think these ought to go in the Motor Sport section. Readro (talk) 15:03, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, sure. I've been very busy the last couple of days and haven't had time to do it. I'll try and sort it out soonish. Readro (talk) 18:16, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Yeah I did. I'll put them in soon. SimonKSK 19:02, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Thamks Again! I thought it was the date you uploaded them into your computer! Thanks. I'll change them. SimonKSK 19:12, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, didn't see it. Yeah, it was the latter. My fault. I thought that if I didn't get the logo on the pic, it would be considered mine. Now, when I think about it, that was totally stupid. Anyway, thanks for letting me know. You can speedy delete them or whatever. SimonKSK 20:47, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
It was a bit different, since the other pics had logos on them, but I understand. Thanks, again. SimonKSK 20:55, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

1995 European Grand Prix

You'll probably know this already, but if you want to develop an article without worrying about other users making edits then editing in userspace is usually a good idea. That's what I usually do - in fact right now I'm working on an article for the 1964 French Grand Prix in userspace so that I can copy the article into mainspace when I am done. Readro (talk) 09:49, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up! Perhaps I should start bringing the 1995 Autocourse with me each term? ;) The full race is available on YouTube if you want to watch it.--Diniz(talk) 11:21, 26 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: TFA

I really want to thank you and I appreciate your help with NWO's TFA request, but it seems like pro wrestling is so disliked and not "culturally representative", so I don't think it may have a chance to appear. Maybe Over the Edge (1999) will have better luck.--TRUCO 01:13, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Yeah. But I still want to thank you for your help, I really appreciate it. Maybe you can help me with OTE.--TRUCO 19:59, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
Oh okay, so it was withdrawn right?--TRUCO 17:02, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Oh okay, just making sure so I can update the newsletter properly. Thanks for all your help, hopefully I'll see you for OTE :)--TRUCO 17:04, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

The most fun you will ever have is here!

Woddup. I'm currently setting up the portal with randomised selected race reports, but four of them (which I think you had something to do with) have leads which are too short. If you have a mo, could you expand the leads of 2007 Australian Grand Prix, 2007 Canadian Grand Prix, 2007 French Grand Prix and 2007 Malaysian Grand Prix, and update their entries here? By the way, Malaysia is going to be the selected article for February, so woo there! Cheers, Apterygial 05:02, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

William Grover-Williams

Thanks for running the MoS checker on it. I'm looking to push this article to GA or FA if possible. I think he's an absolutely fascinating character and with the 80th anniversary of his win in the first ever Monaco Grand Prix coming up in April, I think it would be fitting. Re:Question

It looks good to me, except that I think both sentences should be in the past tense.--Diniz(talk) 21:12, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Yes, that's better, although the "sessions" in the second sentence should be "session". It looks like the videos of the European GP have been taken down and the account that posted them suspended, although I'm sure he'll be back. I have already downloaded BBC coverage of the Brazilian, Monaco, Canadian, British, Belgian and Italian GPs as backup if you ever need them.--Diniz(talk) 21:20, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

Re:Portal

Ha! I'm not going to that hellhole again for a little while, China's going to GAN. Anyway, it wasn't a particularly interesting race. It'll probably be at PR in a couple of days, I'll put out a message at WT:MII. 1995 was a little before my time, despite the fact that I grew up in an F1 town (we will never forgive Melbourne for taking the GP). If you need a hand there give me a shout. Apterygial 10:45, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

According to my userpage I do... There were some classics in Adelaide, though. Apterygial 11:46, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

User:D.M.N./Books

Hey there! I'm making a centralised "library" if you will of books that Wikipedians own; the idea is to give a single place of reference where users can go to find other users who might have texts on a subject they are writing about, rather than what we have at the moment (various users having indexesbooks they own scattered around in places). Would you have any problem with me including your texts given here in the library? Ironholds (talk) 23:12, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

For every category you create, you should specify parent categories to which it belongs. In the case of a category like this one, parent categories are provided automatically when you include a {{sockpuppet category}} template.

Contact me if you have questions about this. Best regards, --Stepheng3 (talk) 21:40, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

2008 German Grand Prix Autocourse refs

Hi, I am writing up the 2008 German Grand Prix, as part of the MII project. I am told you own the Autocourse book, so I wondered whether you'd kindly source the "Standings after the race" section on it. Thank you very much,

Darth Newdar (talk) 15:08, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! Darth Newdar (talk) 17:40, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Autosport

Have you got this week's Autosport? There's a good interview with Jean Alesi about the 1995 Japanese Grand Prix.--Diniz(talk) 17:28, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

I've scanned it! Could you send me an email so I can reply to it with the file as an attachment? I tried uploading it to Imageshack but I think the file size is too big.
Regarding the 1995 European GP, I think I can expand it quite a bit with AUTOCOURSE material, particularly the race section; would you mind if I did this in my sandbox and then added it in one go? I also noticed a minor spelling error in the referencing, which may apply to other 1995 season articles that you have previously worked on: the former publisher of the annuals is called "Hazleton", not "Hazelton".--Diniz(talk) 23:20, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Check your inbox. :) --Diniz(talk) 16:10, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Actually, it's taking ages to send, but it should be with you shortly.--Diniz(talk) 16:14, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
It was too big to send! I had to reduce the file size and send another email, but this one has definitely been sent now.--Diniz(talk) 16:31, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

I would prefer not to, if that's OK, because I can't guarantee that I'll still have the magazines I have now in the future. Usually they all get cleared out and thrown away every year or so.--Diniz(talk) 21:12, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Autocourse

Guess who just ordered Autocourse. Apterygial 11:13, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

That's right! It was Mark Webber! (He nipped off to get it during his last flying lap in Q3, hence his time). How much do my temporary userpage colours hurt your eyes? Apterygial 11:18, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

...for the in-line citations in Shannon Racing. Much appreciated!--Diniz(talk) 18:46, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

P.S. I've just noticed that BBC coverage of the 1995 European Grand Prix is being re-uploaded onto YouTube. ;) --Diniz(talk) 18:55, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
The playlist is here, with 5 of 11 videos uploaded so far. If I were you I'd download them all when the whole race is uploaded, as this type of YouTube account has a nasty habit of getting locked without warning. For future reference, I've already got full coverage of the 1995 Brazilian, Monaco, Canadian, British, Belgian, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese GPs on my computer. Someone also started uploading the Pacific GP a while ago but their account was suspended before they'd finished. :( --Diniz(talk) 23:03, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

F1 Colours

Just to say that my idea of the colours is just an idea to try to improve the page. If after a while I see that the general reaction is a negative one, which will not surprise me- then I will remove the idea from my stupid head... Thanks for your opinion anyway Petera93 (talk) 18:38, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

1995 European Grand Prix - qualifying table

I've started editing the article in my sandbox. What do you think of my alteration to the qualifying table? As there were two sessions back in those days, and I have access to the times from both, it seems like a sensible thing to do.--Diniz(talk) 17:16, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

No problem, I'll change those articles' tables as well? Do you think it should be brought up at WT:F1 so it can be applied to 1994 San Marino Grand Prix and future pre-1996 expanded articles in the future as well? Regarding the FW17B, I put that part in the race section because I get the impression that Williams only made the decision to race them after qualifying, and then it was additionally affected by Coulthard's spin before the race. I'm going to add more on the FW17B anyway; it's just that the AUTOCOURSE report isn't always strictly chronological! ;) The chassis logbook (which is on the same double-page as the results for each race) lists all of the drivers' and spare Williams chassis as FW17Bs for the last three races of the season. Unfortunately there's nothing about any Benetton or Ferrari developments. :( I'm trying to avoid Forix, but I can't find another source (I didn't even realise that such a session had occurred until I went through the race details there), and I think it's better than nothing. After all, the section of WP:EL reads more like a guideline "should" rather than an absolute "must". Personally, I think the policy's a bit off, as what's the difference in real terms between subscribing to a website and using it as a source, and buying a book and using it instead?</rant> Just another question to close with: Forix has the cover of the event programme on display; do you think it would be appropriate to upload it as a FU image specific to the article? It could also be an option for other 1995 race articles, as we're always going to be short of action images compared to more recent seasons.--Diniz(talk) 18:02, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
I've just incorporated the template {{cite encyclopedia}} into the Forti article for the AUTOCOURSE references - do you think this would be suitable for the 1995 Grand Prix articles, or is it a needless complication?--Diniz(talk) 23:53, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the FIA pdf - I shall definitely incorporate it into the article.--Diniz(talk) 16:26, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Unfortunately there isn't a single page, but everything (except some of the test drivers) is covered in the team-by-team review: Benetton pp. 42-45, Tyrrell pp. 46-47, Williams pp. 48-51, McLaren pp. 54-57, Footwork pp. 60-61, Simtek p. 62, Jordan pp. 67-69, Pacific p. 70, Forti p. 71, Minardi pp. 72-73, Ligier pp. 74-75, Ferrari pp. 76-79 and Sauber pp. 80-81. Some of the test drivers are mentioned in the "runners and riders" section of the Brazilian race report, which covers pp. 86-87: Emmanuel Collard, Jean-Christophe Boullion (Williams), Mark Blundell (who should be included as one of McLaren's test drivers for consistency with other cases such as Tarquini at Tyrrell), Hideki Noda, Giancarlo Fisichella, Nicola Larini and Norberto Fontana. As a test driver, Jan Magnussen is included in the McLaren team review, and Gabriele Tarquini's usual status as test driver is included in the European race report on p. 204. I can't find any reference to Oliver Gavin or Franck Lagorce, but I imagine a quick search of the grandprix.com news archive should turn up something! ;) --Diniz(talk) 15:57, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

That's similar to what I did with the {{cite encyclopedia}} template in the Forti article, and I think it could work. For future reference, all of the race reports are written by Alan Henry, but some of the team reviews, Schumacher's profile, Fangio's obituary and the other motorsport reviews are written by different contributors.--Diniz(talk) 16:51, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

I think I might as well give you the details of the entire book, for future reference, all using the exact words. ;)

You're welcome. Just to let you know that I've just ordered the Formula 1 Yearbook 1995-1996, which should provide some more information on 1995 articles.--Diniz(talk) 21:00, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
I just had a memory flash about the Pacific team's test drivers. During the season, Deletraz's deal was intended to last for the final five races of the season, but his sponsors deafulted after two races and Keith Wiggins was not willing to keep him in the team on performance alone. The original plan was for Katsumi Yamamoto to drive at the Pacific and Japanese GPs and for Oliver Gavin to drive at the Australian GP with some personal sponsorship, but neither were granted superlicences, so Gachot returned instead. [4] Unfortunately, Autocourse doesn't mention any of this.--Diniz(talk) 16:57, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

I needed to respond...

...And I'm just coming back from retirement, what would you do? I'm sorry, but I had a bad day and for no apparent reason Pyrope decided to say I'm an 'idiot' (that's how he made me feel). Can I not defend myself? I'm not trolling, as you put it, on you. I also needed to respond because he said he wanted to ask me about Brawn names. Chubbennaitor 19:08, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Can I not source support? Chubbennaitor 19:14, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

You might want to fix the infobox in this article - I would but I know nothing about horse racing. :) Queenie 15:41, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Finished!

I've expanded the draft European GP article as far as I can. All that is missing is a citation for the precise delay of the start time, and the more specific Autocourse references. Unfortunately, the annual didn't have any quotations from Schumacher or Alesi, so I was forced to use Forix instead. The finished version is still in my sandbox, if you would care to take a look before I edit the main article.--Diniz(talk) 02:08, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar! Let me know if there's anything else I can do. :) --Diniz(talk) 18:57, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Sorry

Hey, I'm sorry I butted in on the conversation. I don't really know why I did. Sorry again.--WillC 07:55, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

LOL, well do you have yahoo or some kind of IM, would be better to state it there. If you have an Yahoo IM account, my user name is wmhc818. I should be online.--WillC 07:59, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Anyway, it was Matt mainly. IMO has become a little high of himself. Says he left the project and never wants to return but always comes back once a problem pops up and makes it wrose. But that is just me.--WillC 08:13, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
I'm also sorry that both of you had to get involved, and that it escalated here on your talk page DMN. But now knowing iMatthew, he thinks he is the "whole damn show", and is too good for the people that helped him get where he is now. For a 28 year old, he doesn't act his age on here. Even at 16, I'm more mature than what he is. But again, thanks for trying but there is no more use, its just best to move on and forget that past.--Truco 17:01, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
I didn't know how old WL was before, I'm 24, not 28. Believe it or not, I was about to ask you if you wanted to come on IRC and talk. I can honestly tell you that I was going to write that on your page within the next hour. But with DMN's page still on my watchlist, I see that you want to come on here and accuse me of thinking I'm the "whole damn show" and that I'm too good for you? Then you tend to your ego with "I helped him get to what he is now" which is untrue in so many ways. If you want the truth, you started to piss me off when I started using IRC, I realized then that WP:PW's MySpace aspects were highly looked down upon, and if you wanted to have an ounce of respect on Wikipedia, you really should stay away from WP:PW. So where I am today is thanks to the people I've met on IRC that know what they are talking about. People that would worry about important things on Wikipedia like the current BLP issues/Flagged Revisions, not the way a project newsletter looks, or the color scheme used on a WikiProject page. I don't see how I don't act my age. For a 24 year old, I'm not looking to get into fights with minors over the computer, it's the biggest waste of my life. If you think you're more mature than me since I don't care about childish fights online, then you stick with that.  iMatthew :  Chat  17:15, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Matt, if I understand that correctly, you don't like him just because he's a member of WP:PW? You should not hold that in a grudge against someone. And apart from trying to help you two "build a bridge" again, I don't know what I've done "wrong" here... D.M.N. (talk) 17:18, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
No, I didn't mean to imply that at all. It's things he does, which I would talk to him about on IRC if he wanted. You didn't do anything, though your "never reviewing anybody at WP:ER then reviewing me" was very annoying.  iMatthew :  Chat  17:31, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Okay then, lets sort this out. First off, how do you get on IRC?--Truco 17:35, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Wait, "Waa, your deleting my messages" then I stop, as you asked me too, and you delete the messages off my page and yours? That's very hypocritical, I'd say. Go on mibbit - it's easier.  iMatthew :  Chat  17:48, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Well, thats how you wanted it to be originally, I was just trying to make you happy. Okay, whats the channel?--Truco 17:55, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
I can't talk now, I'm busy with something. I'm in #wikipedia-en - go there if you want.  iMatthew :  Chat  17:59, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Barnstar

The Working Man's Barnstar
Thanks for updating those Jordan car infoboxes to use the "Infobox racing car" template and for adding the WP:F1 template to all the "F1 cars" templates. That latter task has been on my "to do" list for ages, but I never seemed to get around to it. Keep up the good work! DH85868993 (talk) 13:21, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

1995 Brazilian Grand Prix

It does give the weather conditions, but unfortunately not the timings for the practice and qualifying sessions. The weather conditions were as follows: Friday FP: "Dry, hot"; Friday Q: "Dry, hot"; Saturday FP: "Wet at first, then dry"; Saturday Q: "Overcast, dry"; Warm-up: "Dry, hot" (for the record, the race was "warm and overcast"). Not as good as the current annual, which has track and air temperatures! I'll take a look at the background section in more detail later on.--Diniz(talk) 17:36, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Another late-night brainwave...the editions of the Formula 1 Yearbook that I already have (2000, 2003 and 2004) include the full Sporting Regulations in a double page near the back. I also noticed that 1997 Japanese Grand Prix has the qualifying and practice session timings referenced with that year's editions of the yearbook, so things are looking good if I can get hold of the 1995 version (it's still on order from the supplier...) ;) --Diniz(talk) 01:23, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
I've added some information to the background section of the article. It's a bit more than usual due to it being the first race of the season - feel free to trim it down.--Diniz(talk) 23:50, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I managed to bring it with me this term! :) I'll add some more information in due course; I've got a decent amount of free time now, but expect my contributions to be erratic over the next two months.--Diniz(talk) 21:26, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

I've been thinking about the chronology of the article (and watching my downloaded BBC race coverage ;) ), and I think, due to the "narrative arc" of Schumacher and Benetton's problems during practice, it might be better to have a Friday practice-Friday qualifying-Saturday practice-Saturday qualifying layout, rather than the current all practice-all qualifying model. Of course, this is different from the other 1995 GP articles that you've already worked on, but I think the relevant sessions for those events were more straightforward. Perhaps the introductory sentences in the section could be changed to something along the lines of "Two practice and qualifying sessions were held over the two days prior to the race. On Friday, an X-long practice session was held in Y weather conditions during the morning, starting at Z hours. In the afternoon, the first W-long qualifying session was held...[same details, followed by all Friday information, then new paragraph followed by a similar sentence to introduce the Saturady information]."--Diniz(talk) 21:40, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

I've now expanded the practice and qualifying session section. I hope it's to your liking!--Diniz(talk) 16:39, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks - I included all of the runners because the sentence about the Simteks and Fortis was already there, so I just filled it the rest of the grid.--Diniz(talk) 18:03, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Are you ready for me to start on the race section, or do you want to do some more work on it first?--Diniz(talk) 11:30, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

OK, let me know when it's ready! ;) --Diniz(talk) 13:21, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

I've finished work on the article now - all it needs is the air temperatures.--Diniz(talk) 21:44, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

For some reason, the actual race report is very short compared to the qualifying/practice/new season analysis, so there aren't very many quotations to do with the race itself. I'll see what I can do.--Diniz(talk) 19:19, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
I've done all I can, although it's not very much! I won an eBay bid for the 1995 Formula 1 Yearbook yesterday (I cancelled the original order from somewhere else as it was idle for more than three weeks), so hopefully that will have some more post-race quotations.--Diniz(talk) 18:48, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Re:2009 Formula One season

Thanks D.M.N., I probably agree with you, but however this does not change the fact that Chubb's facts were wrong and he should have though about that before he did that edit. WilliamF1two (talk) 19:58, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

After seeing your message, I am being honest with you, I do not have a duplicate account called Petera93 nor have I heard of the user. So this must be a big co-incidence or maybe the person in that account is duping me. I will check it's profile now. --Danny 93 (talk) 19:31, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Beat me to it

I was reading my comment and my blood ran cold! Then as I tried to correct it, you'd already done so.. thanks for that :) Bretonbanquet (talk) 20:59, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

You deleted the information from both the anon. user and me about F1 2010, the sequel. Surely, surely, somewhere on the article it should be mentioned that a sequel is being made??? Word it your own way if you want; but I think it is a vital piece of information for the article. Darth Newdar (talk) 17:23, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Don't worry. Thanks for adding it back in! Darth Newdar (talk) 07:34, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

GAN

Hey, if I'm on after May 8, I'll take the duty of handling any problems in the article you have on GAN. That is if you want me too? I have three on GAN at the moment, so I'll be watching to see what is reviewed, and what is not. I plan to return full time next week.--WillC 04:07, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Okay cool. If you change your mind I'm open. I only know a bit about racing. Just from what my dad talks about. I watch it with him here and there.--WillC 00:32, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

This looks like it's going to be a fairly easy ride. The lead could be expanded a bit to give more attention to both the drivers and constructors championship positions pre and post the race. And that single sentence opener of the first sentence could be fleshed out with a little bit of background info on why Nürburgring had been left out of F1, and why it had been taken back in.
