ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:43, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Animal Welfare in the Ancient World

Have you looked at that disaster of an article? Random sources strewn throughout, incorrect Bible citations, ridiculously unbalanced entries for various societies, etc. Lots needs to be removed from the page. Entries need to be balanced, you do that by either adding to the other side or by removing from the first side. If you object to me doing the latter then you need to do the former. 96.59.49.49 (talk) 08:17, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

"BOTW (disambiguation)"

At the page BOTW, I drafted a disambiguation page since "BOTW" could also stand for other things. Also, at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2020 December 5#BOTW, some editors did not object to the DAB page idea, but they wanted it at "BOTW (disambiguation)". When you closed the discussion as keep, the DAB pages are still on the redirect. Seventyfiveyears (talk) 14:42, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

A barnstar for you

The Redirect Barnstar
Your diligent work in the area of redirect categorization and improvement is duly recognized and greatly appreciated. You are truly one of the unsung heroes of Wikipedia, and we hope you continue to enjoy your improvement of this awesome encyclopedia! Thank you for the hard work you have been doing at RfD of late, and especially cleaning up the mess left by Soumya-8974's many nominations today. Thryduulf (talk) 00:18, 4 January 2021 (UTC) Thryduulf (talk) 00:18, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

WP:SIGFORGE

I apologize for that. It was entirely accidental; I'm relatively new to editing and didn't realize that's what I was doing. I have removed your signature from my post. Thank you for bringing this issue to my attention. Cheers. BlackDahlia94 (talk) 20:36, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

Edit: I just noticed this statement: "If you want to replace an unprotected redirect with an article, you do not need to list it here. Turning redirects into articles is wholly encouraged." How would I know if a redirect is "unprotected"? Do you know? My request may be unnecessary for that reason. BlackDahlia94 (talk) 20:46, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

@BlackDahlia94: No worries. I was a bit harsh with you on that, so I also want to apologize. As for the Verminous redirect, you can easily tell it's unprotected since you are able to make edits there. If you believe an article on the subject is needed, then go ahead, feel WP:BOLD and create it yourself. Just make sure that you also withdraw your nomination before creating an article. Ban-evading and edit warring user

A user by the name of TVFan88 has been edit warring on the page Horrid Henry (TV series), saying that a certain piece of text is a hoax when he does not have any proof of it, he has also been sending people ban threats an has been getting way too worked up over the situation. If I were you, I would temporarily ban him for at-least 4 days or a week. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.19.207.170 (talk) 18:47, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

Lies! You we're spreading hoaxes, He would block you for it

-TVFan88 talk 1:52PM EST — Preceding undated comment added 18:52, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

  • And you´re not? listen just let Cyclone make a decision instead of going crazy about it ok?

Fine. If he blocks you, I'll be awarded with a cookie, But if he blocks me, I'll be depressed, and the Internet will think i'm Fake news.

-TVFan88 talk 2:01PM EST

@TVFan88: @47.19.207.170: I'm afraid I can't block anyone since I'm not an admin. I suggest you should both take this to the Edit warring noticeboard to seek a resolution for this dispute. CycloneYoris talk! 19:42, 7 January 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the info Cyclone! :)

Those edits I made were correct. I used to go to school there and I know darnay holmes played there because it says it on his own wikipedia page and I saw him play football for Calabasas High School in person. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nickjoness1 (talkcontribs) 22:02, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
