I will re-edit copyright content. You remove speedy deletion. I dont have time to argue with you over speedy deletion over talk page. Its a waste of time. Do not message me.Uricnobel (talk) 18:25, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Uricnobel: This is a vague message without linking the concerned page. Csgir (talk) 01:51, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Uricnobel: I have removed the speedy delete notice from N.V.Tyagarajan page. In future, use the "contest this speedy deletion" option to write the reason so that other editors can do the needful within time, and you don't have to depend on the person who added the tag to remove it. DJ Diddy Official.
Csgir,
I respect how long you have been a contributor to Wikipedia. I understand that Wiki moderators, like yourself, are always on the lookout for false promotion. However, I attempted to use a Neutral Point of View. Looking back I believe there was not enough information written initially, so my point of view could have been easily misconstrued. Is it possible you could remove the speedy deletion notice? — Preceding unsigned comment added by TaylorJones44 (talk • contribs) 14:56, 18 January 2019 (UTC)
- @TaylorJones44: Hi, I had marked the page for deletion because the person with not notable enough, as per the referenced added in the draft and a quick Google search. I didn't misconstrue your point of view - it was more a matter of notability of the subject. Csgir (talk) 16:11, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

Sam Nabil
At Talk:Sam Nabil, you wrote: "This page is not unambiguously promotional, because the person has some coverage from Reuters, Doha News, and some academic blogs. Doesn't this make the person notable enough?" It sounds like you don't know what "promotional" means. The page was not deleted on notability grounds but on the grounds that it is written like an advertisement. Deb (talk) 13:06, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Deb: Okay. Then the person was notable but the language was not fully encyclopedic. Got it. Can the page be re-instated for me to work on its language? Csgir (talk) 13:11, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- Okay - here. Deb (talk) 13:41, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- Hello Csgir and @Deb: I really do not think this subject passes any of our notability guidelines. Most sources in the article look to me like paid-for promotional pieces. Interestingly, an article about Naya Clinics (which were founded by Sam Nabil in 2015) was created a week ago - that is, the day after Sam Nabil was deleted. The sources are more or less the same, and you can see at the AfD what the opinion of the community is. Thanks and regards, Biwom (talk) 15:27, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Biwom: This is strange. I looked at the "Naya Clinics" AfD page just now and I concur that the clinic does not have notibility. Regarding the Sam Nabil page I was creating, I based it on the Doha News and Reuters news link, which seemed notable...and the academic blogs which is often considered valuable inputs in my field. Can Doha News and Reuters be paid pieces? I have no idea in this regardCsgir (talk) 15:42, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
- Hello. Yes, the Reuters article is a paid article. It has a big banner saying "Brand Features" and if you click on the little down arrow you will see it says "paid for" very unequivocally. Thanks and regards, Biwom (talk) 00:07, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

- Okay - here. Deb (talk) 13:41, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- Do you know any of Mr Nabil's employees? I would not be surprised if they are watching the media and saw that his article had been removed so they took the sources you used and created a new article to try to avoid detection. Deb (talk) 17:05, 13 February 2019 (UTC)
- Not at all. Perhaps, as you said, they were watching Wikipedia to see if other editors are writing anything. Or, maybe they were not aware of my page at all because I checked the edit history of the Naya Clinics page creator, it is a new account and it does take some time to get used to the edit and search tools. Csgir (talk) 10:00, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
I've moved this article to draft space because it is not ready for the encyclopedia. Please add categories and expand the article, making it clear why the subject is notable. Deb (talk) 13:08, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Deb: Hi, the subject received the Padma Shri civilian honour this year. Isn't it notable? Csgir (talk) 13:25, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- It may well be, but you should explain why in the article. Deb (talk) 13:33, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
In answer to your questions
1) Is there any official way with which I can initiate my students into Wikipedia? Their subjects are literature, politics, and history - and Wikipedia will be a valuable place for them.
- Yes. I would start here: Wikipedia:Education_program/Ambassadors
2) Is there any place here where one can discuss India-based projects in detail? As in find what pages / topics need to be covered. Personally, I am creating pages for the Padma Shri award recipients, and created a few more such the the Public Credit Registry and Digital India Land Record Modernization Programme.
- Yes. Here: Wikipedia:WikiProject India
3) When I check my edit counter on xtools, I see that a certain % of my edits have been deleted..while I never received any notification of my edits being deleted or undone. Is this a glitch?
- Deleted and undone are two different things. You will always get a notification if your edits are undone, but if they are deleted because an article you worked on was deleted, then I don't think you would get a notification. If you look at my edit count, you'll see that of 4.6% my edits have been deleted. Most of these were edits I made to articles that I didn't create myself. If someone deletes an article you created yourself, the person who deletes it should inform you, but if they forget to do that, you would probably not find out unless you went and looked for it. Deb (talk) 14:15, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Deb: Thank you for answering the queries, Deb. Helped a lot. Csgir (talk) 14:33, 5 February 2019 (UTC)
A page you started (Flo (app)) has been reviewed!
Thanks for creating Flo (app).
I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
Try to avoid just piling on citations at the ends of paragraphs; additionally, you generally only need one citation per claim (with the exception of particularly controversial claims or claims of the form "Multiple sources say X").

Advert
Hello Csgir, This is reference to advert template marked in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akancha_Srivastava_Foundation. I have made necessary changes. Please guide me what more can be done to remove the advert template by you. I am still learner on wikipedia. Shwetamits (talk) 06:16, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Shwetamits: The language needs to be modified. A section called "History" would be better suited and the sub-heading "Program / Activities / Training" is borderline advertising language. Similarly, the "Key advisors" section can go into the "History" section. Hope this helps. Csgir (talk) 06:59, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot Csgir. I learnt a lot. can you guide me how i can be good in wikipedia contributions? is there any course from wikipedia ? Once again, thanks to correct my article. Shwetamits (talk) 10:33, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Shwetamits: My pleasure. As with anything else, practice makes perfect. Keep editing and creating pages to the best of your knowledge. Until you are more confident with page creation, you can always submit articles at the AfC - "Articles for Creation" - process where expert editors review the page and approve it or send it back for revision. Speedy Deletion on Ravi Taak
Hi, I was curious about why you chose that criteria for Ravi Taak. Can you explain? I found a duplicate of this article so I have also added a request for speedy deletion there as well.--It's Boothsift 06:17, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Boothsift: Hi, I chose the A11 criteria because of the similarity in the user name and the page name. The person was creating the autobiography and the person is not notable by any measure. I would have chosen A7 if the user name would have been different. Anything wrong? Csgir (talk) 06:37, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Csgir: Ok, thanks, I will mark it as reviewed. --It's Boothsift 06:42, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Hi. It's the wrong criterion but I deleted it for A7 and I've protected it so he can't recreate it AND I've blocked him permanently. That ought to have the desired effect. Deb (talk) 11:56, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- PS. A11 is rather a confusing category; it was created specifically to deal with people who create articles for things they've invented or (for example) slang that they use themselves. It's not really appropriate in this case because Ravi Taak does exist. I would have used G11. Deb (talk) 11:58, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Deb: Understood. I used the A11 thinking that yes, Ravi Taak exists but the notability is non-existent or rather he thinks he is notable in his mind. Will keep your point in mind. Thank you. Csgir (talk) 14:33, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

Your latest questions
1. I had PROD'ed it but the page creator removed it without any reason. Can this be done?
- Yes, I'm afraid they can - see Wikipedia:Proposed deletion.
2. All the references in the page is in Arabic language. Google Translate is there to check but can an English page have all references in another language?
- Yes, it can, but it's not generally encouraged.
3. If not, (point 2), should this be tagged with A2 criteria?
- No, because the article itself is not written in a foreign language.
I'll look at the article and see what I can do. Deb (talk) 10:37, 14 February 2019 (UTC)

- @Biwom: Hi, Yes, I might have added those last year while editing a few finance pages. The resource links came up naturally in Google, along with Investopedia.com. I wasn't spamming deliberately. But, thanks for letting me know. Will keep it mind not to add resources from one source. Csgir (talk) 02:33, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
