Hello CrosswalkX,
It seems to me that an article you worked on, Kurt Bestor, may be copied from http://kurtbestor.com/index.php?page=bio&category=Bio&display=8. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.
It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.
Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 21:46, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
I'm sorry I didn't know. I'll erase part of it. CrosswalkX (talk) 21:53, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Mark Sloniker
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Mark Sloniker requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. GSK ✉ ✓ 03:18, 21 December 2013 (UTC)
- (Cross-posted from Talk:Mark Sloniker where you had asked "Is Mark Slonikers page not acceptable?".) To survive, the page (like any other musician's biography) needs reliable, 3rd party sources that provide evidence of notability - articles about him in the press, etc. AllyD (talk) 08:50, 21 December 2013 (UTC)
Hi. I have removed this tag - the article will now not be deleted, though it does need some improvements. Please see my note on the talk page. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:16, 21 December 2013 (UTC)

Your welcome. Yes I do remember in The Disney Channel 1998 movie Halloweentown 1 movie did have a flying bus that flew and traveled through a portal to Halloweentown, that's why I included it in the flying car article. I do my very best to do research before I contribute to wikipedia. CrosswalkX (talk) 02:12, 25 October 2014 (UTC)

You're welcome. I do my very best in researching actors like Marc McClure and Gordon Jump. I included "The Phone Call" 1977 because he looked very familiar because I've seen him in movies like Freaky Friday, Back to the Future and Superman. I'm sorry Marc doesn't have a detailed biography of his life because I'm very interested in it. Maybe one day Marc McClure will write an official biography book. Oh by the way I was trying to create a link to imdb.com because that's where I got my information about Marc McClure.CrosswalkX (talk) 03:50, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Hoverboard, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Diff: [1] Unless the discussion is completely off-topic, or completely vandalism, you should not remove legitimate discussions, even ones you start or participate in. Pinocchio's Daring Journey
[edit]Your post at Talk:Pinocchio's Daring Journey has been removed. While I'm sure you were posting in good faith, the talk pages for the articles are not discussion forums for the article subject. They are intended for discussion of how to improve the article. As Wikipedia is not censored, the article should reflect the contents of the attraction, especially when the attraction follows the plot of the original film. Further, since the talk pages are not forums owned and maintained by the Walt Disney Company or by Disney Parks, Disney personnel will not see your post. If you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to respond here. --McDoobAU93 17:01, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
I'm sorry I was a little rude, but I'm having issues with the actual Disneyland ride Pinocchio's Daring Journey ride that I've been on, I don't like seeing controversial themes involving child slavery. By the way are there other people who feel uncomfortable with the ride? I don't like seeing depictions of child slavery at Disneyland, I'm been trying to contact the representatives at Disneyland and Disney company to have them change and remove child slavery references in the ride and make it better.
The Disney movie Pinocchio 1940 on VHS has upset me very much even in my childhood with glorifying child slavery and ending on a cliffhanger and I'm very sensitive to child slavery depictions in kids cartoons. I'm sorry for getting off subject. I really want the Pinocchio ride at Disneyland to change or get replaced with a less controversial themed ride for park guests to enjoy. I want the Disney representatives to reply. I'm surprised the Disney company is selling Pinocchio 1940 on DVD, Blu-ray with the disturbing PG-13 content with child slavery and abuse.
To the Wikipedia staff Do not worry I won't alter or change the article in any way, I'm respectful with articles, I just wanted to know if there will be a change in the Pinocchio daring journey ride which I hope will happen soon. Next time I try to be a little more respectful in the forum pages. CrosswalkX (talk) 03:00, 13 August 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Streak
[edit]Thanks for message. I don't doubt that the game exists, but that isn't the criterion for getting an article here. The game must be notable as defined below and the article must be verifiable. First, if you have any connection to the game apart from playing it, you will have a conflict of interest and you must declare it. Also read the following regarding writing an article:
- you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the organisation or company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, logs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company or organisation claims or interviewing its management. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls. You had no references at all, and the two external links do little beyond confirming it exists
- There is nothing in the text or external links, such as major awards, to suggest that this game is notable enough forn an article. Reviews are not a criterion for notability.
- You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews. Your text appeared promotional because you simply described the game without any real facts to show why it's notable.
- There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
- You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:16, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
Octopus (Kannada) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Octopus (Kannada), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) - Just to explain, when an article you've created gets draftified because it has no references, please take that opportunity to add references, not to publish an identical article again without references (as you appear to have done). Thank you. --DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:52, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- To the user DoubleGrazing: Question for you, how come you rejected the article Octopus (Kannada) 2015 film? It's a real film that's filmed in India in 2015, I did not make up this article.
- That's what got me to try to create the Octopus (Kannada) 2015 India movie page on Wikipedia.
- Earlier I also tried to create Streak: Hoverboard Racing PS1 1998 which is a real Playstation 1 game on Wikipedia but it also got rejected even though I played that Playstation 1 game.
- I don't know if people on Wikipedia don't trust me on Wikipedia. I always do my research and homework online before I ever contribute anything on Wikipedia. And I'm a fact checker and I try to make sure articles are historically accurate, I'm not perfect though.
- I don't know what else to tell you to convince you, so here's the India copyright movie poster image of Octopus (Kannada) for proof. So if you and the Wikipedia staff are interested in rebuilding the Octopus (Kannada) article let me know thanks. CrosswalkX (talk) 01:18, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
- Let me try to explain again...
- Firstly, I did not 'reject' anything; I moved the article from the main space to drafts, so that you can work on it. The other option would have been to have it deleted altogether. And given that this was the second time you had published the article, despite having been instructed already to make sure that the article is properly referenced, I must say I was tempted to do just that. But I'm sure you agree that out of those two options, draftifying was the better one for you.
- Secondly, I don't doubt that this film exists or even that you've seen it — that's not the point. The point is that every article needs to be supported by multiple reliable sources, a) so that what is said can be WP:V verified, and b) so that the WP:N notability of the subject can be established. In the case of this article, the sources cited were Amazon and IMDb (neither of which is reliable), and Filmibeat which may be reliable (although I doubt it) but which alone isn't enough to establish notability. Besides, none of the three sources were actually cited (through footnotes or otherwise), they were only listed as external links, so it wasn't even clear which of the contents were supported by which source.
- As I said already in my previous comment, take this opportunity to add reliable sources to the article and cite them appropriately, so that you can show the subject is notable. Then, and only then, ask for the article to be reviewed so that it can be moved back to the main space. NB: If you cannot find such sources, then that in and of itself tells us that the film probably isn't notable enough to be included in an encyclopaedia.
- Hope this helps, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:00, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
External links to Naver
[edit]Hi, I noticed you’ve been adding links to Naver pages for films, but they probably aren’t going to be that helpful for English Wikipedia readers. It could be an acceptable reference source, but as an external link it’d be more helpful on the Korean Wikipedia pages for these topics. POLITANVM talk 02:52, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
Whoops, I'm sorry, I didn't know, I'll stop posting links to the Naver film pages. I only did that because some of the Dreamworks films like Boss Baby, Trolls, Shrek, Shrek 2, Turbo, How to Train Your Dragon had the CJ Entertainment logo on the Korean film posters.
I really want to get the CJ Entertainment category back on 2 of the Paramount Marvel films Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and on the Dreamworks films Boss Baby, Trolls, Turbo, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Shrek, since the Korean company name CJ Entertainment was in English on the Korean posters. But since I'm not allowed to do that, I don't know how I can convince anyone to accept my CJ Entertainment category list.
And also, I want to let English readers on Wikipedia know that the Korean CJ Entertainment was indeed involved with those certain Dreamworks, Paramount, Universal Studios films just for historical accuracy. Also, to let you know I'm not from South Korea, I'm from Utah USA, I would like to go to South Korean on vacation though it's very hard for me to travel and Korean Symbols are very hard for me to read since I have a first-grade Korean level. But I do have a 12th grade English Reading level. CrosswalkX (talk) 16:44, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
Categories
[edit]Hi CrosswalkX. I just removed a bunch of articles from categories that didn't seem appropriate to me. Specifically, I removed the following articles from the "Spanking" category: Donald's Penguin, Mickey's Good Deed, Donald's Snow Fight, The Flying Mouse, Hook, Lion and Sinker, The Practical Pig, and Shining in the Darkness. I also undid your other recent category additions at Modern Inventions, Pinocchio (1940 film), 10.0 Earthquake, and Titanic (1996 miniseries). None of these categorizations made sense to me. The works you categorized may refer to or have content related to the categories you added, but only in superficial ways. None of them appeared to be about those subjects. It seemed like you were using the categories like content keywords, like at imdb, and I don't think that's what categories are for. If you think I've made a mistake or misjudged your edits let me know and I'll be happy to talk it out. Squeakachu (talk) 18:47, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
Whoops, I'm sorry, for those embarrassing spanking categories, I did put Spanking category only because those Disney cartoon shorts pages because did feature spanking scenes. I'll not do that again if it looked unprofessional for the Wikipedia page. I'll stop doing it. CrosswalkX (talk) 16:48, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Regarding your post on Talk:Pixar
[edit]Hi, CrosswalkX. So I have a few things to say in response to your post on Talk:Pixar. First, please kindly refrain from using Wikipedia article talk pages to discuss topics unrelated to Wikipedia, as delineated in WP:NOTFORUM. On top of that, Wikipedia (a nonprofit part of the Wikimedia Foundation) is completely unrelated to IMDb (a commercial website owned by Amazon), so I'm not sure why you thought posting here would help your cause. Wikipedia is also not affiliated with Pixar, so you will not be able to reach the Pixar Staff workers and the copyright Pixar worker
here. I'm not 100% with how IMDb works, but I would say the only thing you can do is take it up with the administrators/moderators there. But definitely not here on Wikipedia. Thanks. InfiniteNexus (talk) 05:17, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I didn't know, I'm sorry for my earlier outburst. I didn't mean to be off topic. I have an IMDB account, and I was trying to get Pixar Animation Studios removed off of Shimajiro and the Rainbow Oasis. I didn't quite understand the rules as I'm autistic.
- I promise I won't post anymore off-topic talk pages on anymore of the Wikipedia talk pages. I was trying to make sure there wasn't misinformation on IMDB film page and I goofed. I'm sorry I wasn't in good faith on Wikipedia. I'll work on my skills to be of good faith and to only post on topic pages directly related to Wikipedia and follow the rules more carefully. I'll take it up with the IMDB community forum and with the Pixar company. I don't want to get into any more trouble with Wikipedia as I'm trying to be a good honest online citizen. CrosswalkX (talk) 16:31, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
- No worries, CrosswalkX. I'm sure you were acting in good faith, it's just that your post didn't quite align with Wikipedia's guidelines. Thank you for understanding! InfiniteNexus (talk) 18:00, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

Dame Angela Lansbury is missing Beauty and the Beast 1991 from her death credits.
[edit]To the Wikipedia staff members.
I'm sorry to hear about Angela Lansbury, she lived a good life and I enjoyed her in Auntie Mame, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Beauty and the Beast 1991, Murder She Wrote, The Court Jester, Marry Poppins Returns.
Anyways I have a problem with the Deaths 2022 memorial page Angela Lansbury. In her death credits it shows this
Deaths in 2022 - Wikipedia Dame Angela Lansbury, 96, British-American-Irish actress (The Manchurian Candidate, Sweeney Todd, Murder, She Wrote) and singer, five-time Tony winner.
Where's the Disney animated film Beauty and the Beast 1991? Where's Bedknobs and Broomsticks 1971? It's excluded from her Death 2022 memorial Wikipedia page and I'm upset and very disappointed that the Wikipedia users would snub her from Beauty and the Beast 1991 Disney film.
The Wikipedia user Doc Strange has made a disappointing choice to snub Angela Lansbury from Beauty and the Beast 1991 on the Deaths 2022 page and I want to challenge Angela Lansbury memorial Deaths 2022 page. Can we either swap out The Manchurian Candidate 1962 for Beauty and the Beast 1991 film or else extend her credits to 4 or 5 to include Beauty and the Beast 1991, Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I have never heard of The Manchurian Candidate 1962 until recently and I watched the youtube trailer and I didn't like it very much because it looked too creepy.
I don't want Angela Lansbury to get snubbed from being credited for Beauty and the Beast 1991 film. Please have a talk with the Wikipedia user Doc Strange and convince the user to fix Angela Lansbury's death page to include Beauty and the Beast 1991. I'm not happy with the current page that excludes Angela Lansbury from Beauty and the Beast and I think we need to change it to include Beauty and the Beast in her Deaths 2022 credit page. Please help me out, I want Angela Lansbury to get better honor that this. CrosswalkX (talk) 13:41, 17 October 2022 (UTC)

December 2022: credits and hounding
[edit]Hello my friend. I noticed above on this page, that you have countless issues of reprimands and apologies for your behavior. This isn't changing at all even to today. And I see that in one of your apologies, you explained that you have autism. I can clearly see that this problematic behavior is the product of autism and I sympathize fully but it must stop doing this on this site. Wikipedia is not our therapist. Adding to the list of things you won't read, is WP:NOTTHERAPY. With the King's Quest credits (like Talk:King's Quest: Mask of Eternity), you're having full-on perseveration, which is the constant re-litigating of fully resolved issues, and the automatic rejection of any response that isn't just full agreement and acquiescence to whatever you want. It's pretty oppressive. You go so far as to refuse to even acknowledge the existence of policy documents, just blanking out the fact that people did give you the final and correct answer. You belligerently repeat your complaint on broken record and make up a fantasy of reasons why everyone else supposedly can't hear or comprehend basic things you say when it's actually only you doing so. You even restate the same obvious complaint several times per message. WP:ICANTHEARYOU. Then you're taking the broken record to a user talk page here, plus falsely accusing that user of censorship. There is no such thing as censorship in any of these cases, and that is a very serious accusation. Your behavior there is called hounding or WP:HOUND and WP:ASPERSIONS.
Regardless of the reason, you absolutely must stop all this behavior immediately. That is even if it means that you must stop editing on Wikipedia altogether. Some of it is just abusive behavior and some of it is just violating the content policy. That's true even if each wikiproject's policy seems inconsistent or unfair on a global basis. It doesn't matter though because you're ignoring the existence of any and all policies whatsoever, and treating Wikipedia like you own it. Users can be blocked for each of these issues, let alone all of them. I just want to spell this out one last time to keep you from being blocked, to keep other users from being harassed, and to try to have the best encyclopedia. — Smuckola(talk) 22:29, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I'm an autistic man. Please forgive me. I'll stop right away. I don't know every rule on Wikipedia. I wanted to make a positive difference on Wikipedia and I screwed up. Please don't be angry at me. I don't have good online social skills. The thing is I didn't grow up with computers. I'll let go of alot of things. Please don't gang up on me. By the way I'm going though a hard time right now. My friend died in 2020. By the way I'll let go on the video game credits of King's Quest, I don't know everything. I'm trying hard to be a good honest online citizen. CrosswalkX (talk) 11:59, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
Here's the simplest way I can put it. Wikipedia is absolutely an encyclopedia, and that's it. An encyclopedia is mandatorily defined by WP:RS and WP:N which are very very very complicated and rigorous criteria. An encyclopedia is absolutely not a collection of lists (WP:NOTDIR) and not a fan site (WP:FANCRUFT). Plus, each Wikiproject can have different standards beneath those. That's true even if somebody else did something incorrectly which hasn't been deleted yet (WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS). Period, the end. That's it.
You've been exhaustively explained all this, and you refuse to even read the replies (WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT). Waxworker said basically "here's the policy explaining why that is banned so click this link and read section 11" and you replied effectively "why won't you tell me the reason?" which is nonsense. Perseveration.
The one single reason I'm explaining his explanation is out of a deep respect for the fact that you admitted that you are suffering autism, but the ideas are all the same nonetheless. Lots of people suffer these same effects for other causes. I know Wikipedia is really really really hard, and Wikipedia is very cruelly set up to lure new users and make it look like it isn't hard at all and it's whatever you want it to be, which is all false. You asked how anyone can find credits information which is perfectly obvious and public, and which you had just found. They'll find it the same way you did, by typing it into google. They'll read a fan site which is not an encyclopedia. You might be perfectly welcome to maintain fan sites instead, and you should take a break from editing Wikipedia until you understand the basics. — Smuckola(talk) 23:17, 4 December 2022 (UTC)

- To the Wikipedia staff, yes I was the one who attempted to start up an article on Isamu Hirabayashi. The reason why I did the draft was because he was involved in the 5 Shimajiro films up to Shimajiro and the Rainbow Oasis 2017 and he's a famous Japanese director who directed many short films. If possible I want to get his wikipedia profile page started up. By the way can we make changes to Wikipedia. I noticed that I get notifications on donating to Wikipedia. I'm very uncomfortable with giving away free money to Wikipedia for nothing. I don't like donating to any websites because I worry about getting scammed and losing money.
- If possible, I want to suggest a proposal to the Wikipedia staff about paying the Wikipedia staff members to allow for brand new articles like Octopus (Kannada) 2015 film or Isamu Hirabayashi profile page or pay them to build up new Wikipedia articles. I haven't contributed much on Wikipedia lately because I get rejected too many times and I would prefer to pay the Wikipedia staff money to build up articles. I would also like to suggest to the Wikipedia staff members that to pay the Wikipedia staff members to upload copyright images on Wikipedia legally without getting into legal trouble or banned liked it almost happened to me 2 years ago.
- By the way I'm sorry I haven't responded in a while. I'm autistic and I get nervous talking to online strangers. I don't like contributing on Wikipedia as much like I used to over 10 years ago since and it's hard on me to contribute to Wikipedia even though I goofed many times. I have other projects I'd rather do instead like make cartoon videos and music and video games. CrosswalkX (talk) 17:20, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
I have removed the Doraemon and Shimajiro credits from actors Wikipedia page.
[edit]To the Wikipedia staff and users. Recently I have been removing the fake credits off of many of the actors page which appears to be taken from IMDB including the Doraemon film credit names and Shimajiro credit names from the Korean and Chinese and English actors who do not seem to appear in the official credits.
In the future if the other Wikipedia users are adding credits to actors Wikipedia page, do not, I repeat, do not use IMDB or Fandom or Google credits, or TMDB website page links. They are not reliable sources as there's been credit vandalism happening on IMDB pages in Doraemon and Shimajiro which I'm in the process of cleaning up. I want the actors pages on Wikipedia to be respected and accurate and I will monitor the actors pages from time to time.
So to the Wikipedia staff members reading my forum I would suggest you please add a rule, anytime a Wikipedia user adds an actors name has to come from a more reliable website source link for real official proof other than IMDB, Fandom, TMDB websites since they can be easily edited like Wikipedia and are not reliable sources. I will continue to remove fake off topic credits if they aren't in the official film credits itself or official websites or news website source links.
So please be careful users. I'm trying hard to be a good faithful user. I have made contribution edit mistakes in the past 13 years. But I'm trying hard to be a good Wikipedia user since I'm an autistic adult man.
