Aboubacar Keita
[edit]To address your points:
1.) What we write about the tournament will change as the tourney continues (for example, we would lend more credence to knockout stage appearances than to group stage appearances). In the short-term, waiting the extra two weeks (IF the U.S. make it to the final) will keep the page more stable and give us a better idea of what information to include.
2.) First of all, Transfermarkt is not a WP:RELIABLE source according to WP:NFOOTY. Secondly, I can't disagree that he has six caps according to Soccerway (although I'm going to remove the ref from the infobox, it's included on top of the table). US Soccer doesn't count that match towards their cap numbers, however, so there might be a discussion about whether the game against Uruguay was an official match or not.
3.) There is universal consensus across the project that we only include senior national team caps in stats boxes (for examples, see Wayne Rooney, Clint Dempsey, Tim Howard, Harrison Afful, Tim Cahill, Johan Cruyff, Edinson Cavani, Chris Wood, etc.)
Good catch on that Uruguay game tho, not sure how I totally missed that! 21.colinthompson (talk) 21:06, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
@21.colinthompson: That sounds good. I appreciate you taking the time to answer. I am still trying to get the hang of things, so I appreciate the guidance. As a fellow Crew fan, I am sure we will continue running into each other! Rbradeyb1 (talk) 15:24, 04 May 2019 (UTC)
Infobox updates
[edit]Hey Bradey, thanks for updated the infoboxes of players representing the US at the U20 WC. I know you're new and all but I'd like to ask if you could please updated the "ntupdate" section when you're done. If you haven't noticed already but at the bottom of infoboxes there two sentences that say, "senior caps and goals updated as of (random date)" and a similar sentence for national teams. Please remember to update those, it'll make my job a lot more easier and yours too (likely). Thanks, Oblow14 (talk) 17:58, 4 June 2019 (UTC)
@Oblow14: Yes, sorry about that. I was trying to update them quickly and get back to something else and forgot to update that section. Still trying to get the hang of everything. Apologies. Rbradeyb1 (talk) 15:24, 04 May 2019 (UTC)

Career statistics
[edit]Hi Rbradeyb1, hope you're well. When adding/updating/editing club statistics, please follow the accepted template and manual of style as outlined on WikiProject Football. Season appearances and goals should not be separated on six or eight or ten individual rows - just one row with all appearances and goals per season. Thanks. Rupert1904 (talk) 14:36, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know. However, that is how the visual editor inserts the table. I am not sure who would be in charge of changing that though. Rbradeyb1 (talk) 15:00, 4
- Maybe don't use visual editor then. Thanks. Rupert1904 (talk) 22:55, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi, could you please not merge division cells like you did here? This is recommended as per the Manual of Style for player biographies as linked in the first message of this thread. Mattythewhite (talk) 23:09, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Sam Gleadle article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions.
In addition, as stated above you need to follow the MOS. If Visual Editor adds it differently, you should not use VE for this. GiantSnowman 21:12, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I have reverted your change and added a source. I added the same source that most of the Career statistics pages use, soccerway. I did not add it in because I did not have time when I originally made the edits and have seen source less statistics before on pages so I believed it would be okay. I apologize for this.
I have tried to convert the VE format before and it did not seem to work for me. As for the Visual Editor format itself, would it not be easier to change the MOS considering that this is being put out by Wikipedia and is easier for the vast majority of people to use? I understand that there are rules in place, however, the VE is extremely convenient for people who are casual editors and just want to help expand the quality of articles when able. Best! Rbradeyb1 ([[User talk:Rbradeyb1|talk) 18:19, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
This is precisely what I was talking about in my comment on Nicholas Gioacchini's page. You have consistently added career statistics on 6 or 7 individual lines, even when the rest of the formatting does not do that. This only causes more work for those of us who have to go back and fix your inconsistencies. Please follow the formatting that appears in the career statistics charts. One year should not be in a different format from the rest of the years. If VE is giving you trouble, just do it manually. Anwegmann (talk) 18:03, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- Another perfect example of this is Kiko Casilla's career statistics chart. Everything you added was and remains in a different format from the rest of the chart, making it extremely difficult for anyone else to make sense of the chart when editing. Follow the format of the chart as it appears before you add to it. You are only causing more work for others. Anwegmann (talk) 18:07, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
Your draft article, Draft:Brady Scott
[edit]Hello, Rbradeyb1. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Brady Scott".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}

Career statbox formatting
[edit]When adding/updating/editing club statistics, please follow the accepted template and manual of style as outlined on WikiProject Football. Season appearances and goals should not be separated on six or eight or ten individual rows. Rather, they should be listed on just one row with all appearances and goals per season. This is the second time someone has mentioned this on your talk page, but it is representative of a large number of examples of repeated use poorly formatted templates in career statboxes in the time between the first reference and this one—the most recent example of this is your edit to Aboubacar Keita here. Not following accepted templates nullifies the benefit for your edits, as it forces others to correct your mistakes every time. Given that you have been made aware of this before, it is particularly frustrating to see it continue. Please use accepted templates in career statboxes from now on. If it is an issue with your editor, either do not use that editor when making these changes or simply do not make these changes any longer. It does more harm than good. Thank you. Ways to improve Vitor Dias
[edit]Hello, Crew1994Fan,
Thank you for creating Vitor Dias.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
What is needed are references from significant coverage about this player, and not their own words; in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS; that is your guide. Lists, Team rosters, pages listing matches and results, databases, Instagram, Soccerway, Facebook, none of these are reliable sources. (There have been changes to the notability guide for sports - see WP:NSPORT ) You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources. A more comprehensive guide is WP:SOURCES ... Providing sufficient references, ideally giving more information about this player, that meet these criteria is likely to allow this article to remain. Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that this article is not suitable for inclusion.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}

Info boxes
[edit]I appreciate your creation of quite a few young football/soccer players' pages, especially as they relate to MLS Next Pro. It's a wonderful service to Wikipedia. When you create players' infoboxes, though, please make sure that the info lines are arranged in a reasonable, readable way, so that other editors can navigate the editing page and add to the articles you have created. The page you created for Will Sands is an example of a page whose infobox is nearly impossible to navigate. Indeed, the infobox information appears in the following order:
name = Will Sands years1 = 2021 clubs1 = Manhattan SC caps3 = 5 goals3 = 0 years2 = 2022– caps2 = 4 clubs2 = Columbus Crew clubs3 = → Columbus Crew 2 (loan) goals2 = 0 nationalyears1 = nationalteam1 = nationalcaps1 = nationalgoals1 = collegegoals1 = 4 caps1 = 10 goals1 = 4 collegecaps1 = 52 position = Defender, midfielder youthclubs1 = New York Soccer Club birth_date = July 6, 2000 birth_place = Rye, New York, United States height = 6 feet 1 inch (1.86 m) currentclub = Columbus Crew years3 = 2022– image_size = youthyears1 = 2010–2015 clubnumber = 30 youthyears2 = 2015–2019 youthclubs2 = New York City FC collegeyears1 = 2019–2021 college1 = Georgetown Hoyas image = caption = fullname = Will Sands club-update = 00:18, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
This is completely unreadable and makes it very difficult to find the proper lines to update stats or make needed changes. Please, in the future, order the information properly, clearly, and in a readable manner. Thank you. Anwegmann (talk) 00:29, 28 August 2022 (UTC)

Gabriel Alves moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Gabriel Alves, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) WP:NFOOTY is no longer a valid SNG, so GNG must be met. It needs several refs from independent, reliable, secondary sources to pass WP:GNG. It should have at least 3 of those. Please remember that routine sports coverage does not satisfy GNG, and that interviews, being primary sources, do not go to notability either. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
