Thanks for your additions to gastroenterology. Could I ask you to do a couple of things:

Please don't forget to leave an edit summary every time you modify an article;
If the changes are minor (e.g. small corrections), please tick the "minor" checkbox before submitting;
Consider using show preview occasionally, before submitting? This will reduce the need to return later to make corrections.

I need your help. I'm copyediting your work, and have found it hard finding outside verification of some of the historical points. In particular, I could not trace "Antoine Portal" at all, and it sounds almost too good to be true (re. portal hypertension).

Thanks for uploading Image:MitoChondria_147.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Encountering latent bias

In the article about the 2007 Lebanon conflict, I made a small change that keeps being deleted. The original authors suggest I am adding material that is not needed for the article, but by leaving it the way they have written it they bias the Background section. To many, there is no automatic understanding that Arab refugees have been denied access to Arab lands. To suggest Israel bars their return is only stating part of the story. The Palestinian refugee problem is the longest running refugee issue in history. It needs to be explained briefly as I have done below. "The residents of today's camps are descendants of these early Palestinian refugees. They are denied access to Israel or the Arab nations which refuse to recognize the legitimacy of the UN mandated creation of Israel."

It appears there is significant anti-Israel bias in Wikipedia. For full disclosure, I'm not a Jew. I'm Norse/Irish/Swedish. But I do believe in the truth.Buffalo1951 01:32, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Neutral point of view is one of the fundamental non-negotiable principles of wikipedia. However, as with real world, in issues like Palestinian conflict, what constitutes NOV, is often intensely debated. Please read Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Guidelines for controversial articles carefully and follow steps suggested in Wikipedia:Neutral point of view#Situations and handling and Wikipedia:Resolving disputes. Stay calm, assume good faith and try to build consensus. I noticed you recently assessed Talk:Drug-eluting stent as GA. Please review the assessment instructions; to be assessed as GA, articles must go through WP:GAC and be listed at WP:GA. Typically, they will have either a {{GA}} template on the talk page, or a GA listing in {{ArticleHistory}}. I found and corrected Cirrhosis, but you many know of others. I don't think these articles would pass WP:WIAGA in their current state, so they should probably be B-class. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. At that time, the article was an obvious candidate for an A1 speedy, not to mention A7 (no assertion of notability). After it had been expanded, I would have reverted the tag myself if someone hadn't beaten me to it, but it's hardly an "abuse" to speedy-tag sub-stub articles with neither context, references, nor evidence of notability. --Finngall ^talk 00:35, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
