Thanks for your help!
[edit]Thanks for adding a missing logo to Oracle Advertising. Do you think this logo can work instead of the one you added? It includes the word 'advertising.' Thanks again.

This is to let you know that the above article has been scheduled as today's featured article for 29 September 2022. Please check that the article needs no amendments. Feel free to amend the draft blurb, which can be found at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/September 2022, or to make comments on other matters concerning the scheduling of this article at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/September 2022. I suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from two days before it appears on the Main Page. Thanks and congratulations on your work!—Wehwalt (talk) 22:09, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
Thank you today for the article, introduced: "This article is about the platformer that changed 3D gaming forever (according to every video game journalist, anyway). I originally came to this article to fix a cite error, but then I saw the talk page and all the opportunities for improvement. Since then, I and many others have been working on the article to fix its prose, complete citations, and expand this article's coverage. Now, I think it's ready. Let's work to get back its star. Again." --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:31, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Super Mario 64
Thank you for coming to the rescue of Super Mario 64, for your plans to do more content work, for gnomish help, reverting vandalism with warning, and fixing mistakes, for "It's people like you that inspired me to do this", - you are an awesome Wikipedian!
You are recipient no. 2765 of Precious, a prize of QAI. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:25, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

Closing AfD
[edit]Hi Coolperson177, whilst the correct outcome of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Aftab Sultan was indeed "speedy keep" due to the nom withdrawing, it was not appropriate for you to have closed it given you had already !voted, as per WP:NACD. -Kj cheetham (talk) 09:38, 29 August 2022 (UTC)

- I wasn't the one that protected the article and I can't undo it. An administrator temporarily (only for 2 days) locked it from unconfirmed editors because of the high number of vandals. — Coolperson177 (t|c) 23:55, 23 October 2022 (UTC)

Gravity Falls logo change
[edit]Hi Coolperson177. I wanted to ask about the change you made on on the Gravity Falls page at 16:24, 29 October 2022 where you changed the logo to the simplified fan made one that is on the page right now. You mentioned it as "changing logo on request." I was curious to know why the logo was requested to be changed to one that isn't technically the show's logo, while the logos for other Disney TVA shows remain their original ones, but under fair use. And also if there is a way to one day revert the GF logo back to its official one if a way can be found to do so per guidelines. Thank you. Throwaway618420 (talk) 02:52, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, Throwaway618420. I'd call the previous image closer to a title card than a logo, since it included a full background behind the "Gravity Falls". The person who requested the fan-made one justified it by saying it only consists of words and is therefore free content. If there's free content that serves the same purpose at least as well as non-free content, we can't use the non-free content. Now that I've seen what it looks like, you can change the picture to the official logo if you know how to (I'd prefer this one. It should be fair use. — Coolperson177 (message | about me) 21:33, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hello Coolperson177. Thank you for the clarification. I looked back and it seems the title card had been uploaded for some reason after the old logo image was removed. I was not able to upload the image you linked for some reason, so if you could do so or be able to find someone else who could, that would be great, so that the Gravity Falls logo on its page can be reverted to its original one before deletion. Thank you. Throwaway618420 (talk) 05:32, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

Removing transclusions?
[edit]Can you explain what is being done here, it seems you are turning OK citations into some other format, I have never seen it like this before. Am I missing something? Selfstudier (talk) 19:49, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hello Selfstudier. As you can see at the bottom of the article, there are templates that can't show up because too many are already on the page. Converting the citations into bare links is supposed to solve this problem by removing enough templates for the ones at the bottom to appear. — Coolperson177 (message | about me) 21:19, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- I see. Well, others are going through and formatting the refs from bare urls to proper cites.... Selfstudier (talk) 23:06, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
