Please explain your contributions using a descriptive edit summary. Changing information on Wikipedia (such as numbers and dates) without explanation, as you did at Newark Liberty International Airport, may be confused with vandalism. Thank you. VenFlyer98 (talk) 20:06, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@VenFlyer98: I am really sorry about that. I would like you to know that I am not a vandal. In fact I am the article's number one contributor. Anyway I changed the format because it was suggested during Newark Airport's GA nomination, so is it ok if it is put back to the way I formatted it? Sorry, and have a good day. Jibreel23 (talk) 20:40, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jibreel23: I changed the edit because you didn’t explain it and changed the format. I had no way of knowing you planned on changing it. Had no idea it was suggested, but the format you changed it to got rid of the airlines/destinations heading which is basically on every airport page. I really don’t mind how you format it, but changing it to remove that heading when pretty much every other airport page has it just seems odd. Saw the talk page, and feel free to move the airport information section like you did. As I said, I mainly reverted because of the removal of the individual airline section. (VenFlyer98 (talk) 16:05, 28 June 2022 (UTC))[reply]

@VenFlyer98: I did not explain it, so you are fine. Anyway thanks, and if every other airport page has it like that then I will let the GA reviewer know. Have a good day. Jibreel23 (talk) 17:05, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jibreel23: No problem, it was more or less my fault, should’ve checked the talk page first. Yes, pretty much every airport page has a separate airlines/destinations section. Thanks for understanding! (VenFlyer98 (talk) 18:07, 28 June 2022 (UTC))[reply]

The article Newark Liberty International Airport you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Newark Liberty International Airport for reasons why the nomination failed. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jersey City, New Jersey, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Colgate Clock. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Jack Hughes (ice hockey, born 2001). This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. – Sabbatino 16:46, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Unexplained removal of sourced content

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm GenoV84. I noticed that you recently removed content from 2022 FIFA World Cup controversies without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. The article Newark Liberty International Airport you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Newark Liberty International Airport for comments about the article, and Talk:Newark Liberty International Airport/GA2 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. DYK for Newark Liberty International Airport

[edit]

On 25 March 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Newark Liberty International Airport, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Newark Liberty International Airport was the first commercial airport in the United States with a paved airstrip? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Newark Liberty International Airport. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Newark Liberty International Airport), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
