Poor Law Amendment Act 1834
Hi there. I noticed that you removed a sourced sentence from Poor Law Amendment Act 1834 but forgot to include an edit summary.[1] Is there a particular issue with the sentence? Road Wizard (talk) 21:46, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation. You may want to use edit summaries a bit more than you have been doing though; it saves time by removing the need for these pointless questions. ^_~ Road Wizard (talk) 21:54, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Rivers of blood speech
Hi there Britannicus,
You seem to have a long history of debating with multiculturalist, I would like to have your opinion on an edit I made to Enoch Powell's Rivers of blood speech article. I removed a socialist workers reference. Reasons are on the discussion page. An editing war will ensue unless we can get a general consensus. Many thanks Alexandre8 (talk) 21:58, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
The KIng's Speech
Many thanks for your response. I am certainly no Stalin scholar, but I had assumed that "Marshal" was a title Stalin had kept for his glorious wartime role. I'm not sure I even noticed in the film, but had I thought about it (perhaps prompted by Axxxion), I would have expected "Comrade" or possibly "Chairman" (although it seems he was merely "Secretary" at this time). But you seem not to dispute that film characters can say whatever they like without showing any "historical inaccuracy", yes? I would very much appreciate any thoughts you may have on the other doubts that I have listed in that thread. Kind regards. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:31, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
Whiggism
You'll see I have suggested at Talk:Whig (British political party) that we need an article on Whiggism – I wondered if you might be willing to make a start on one? Moonraker (talk) 01:52, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

I am contacting you because you have participated in prior discussions at the above article, and it would be appreciated if you gave your views on an current dispute. One editor wants to add a gallery of images for people who declined to stand for the leadership. Another editor objects on the grounds that doing so puts undue weight on the people who did not participate. -Rrius (talk) 14:20, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
DYK for New Social Alliance
On 6 January 2014, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article New Social Alliance, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that historian John Vincent called the New Social Alliance a "poor man's Young England"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/New Social Alliance. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Robert Cecil, 1st Viscount Cecil of Chelwood may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
- List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Hi Britannicus. You say, on reverting all my edits to the article that they are absurd - yet I note you leave parentheses around the words "pull any punches". I assume from that that you accept the quote is more of an interpretation by, presumably, a person who uses the term "pull any punches" - rather than an actual quote from any Irish document of the time. I say it is absurd for anyone to presume to quote from historical sources using a modern idiom. As for the syntactical corrections I made - I will make them again in a single edit and hope they are okay with you this time around.MarkDask 14:51, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
Reparations in World Politics
Hi,
You mentioned on the World War I reparations talkpage recently that "Marc Trachtenberg's book Reparations in World Politics (Columbia University Press, 1980) utilised previously unavailable archives and concluded that Germany could have paid but lacked the political will to do so."
I am unable to access this source. Do you have access? If so, would you be able to provide a quote to place in the article? Regards EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 07:29, 28 April 2014 (UTC)
I haven't CSDed due to the autopatrol which suggests you are a prolific article creator, but please add some content/request deletion ASAP so that the basically empty page is not hanging around. Thanks, Matty.007 19:11, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks. Creating articles with basically no content will plausibly lead to a swift deletion. Thanks, Matty.007 19:17, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
