Question from Collin2022 (10:56, 21 November 2024)

[edit]

Liance,Sorry to bother you. I corrected the source of an image, but it hasn't updated yet. Best of luck! --Collin2022 (talk) 10:56, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Collin2022: My name is Hannah, not Liance. I'm not sure who you're talking about, but I'm an automatically assigned mentor (which means you can ask me questions about editing Wikipedia). Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 13:25, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Hannah, so sorry about this. The text in the logo on this Creality wiki page(Creality) is white, which obviously makes it difficult for users to read. I tried replacing it with an image of the logo with darker text (from the official source), but I was unsuccessful. Collin2022 (talk) 01:40, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Collin2022: You would need to upload a different version of the file if you wish to change it. You can do that by going to File:Creality logo.png, scrolling to the bottom, and clicking "upload a new version of this file". If you are being paid to edit this article, you must disclose this, as undisclosed paid editing is against our terms of use. There is also this guide for contributing with a conflict of interest. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 03:57, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your patient guidance. I think I've run into a big problem. I tried following your method to upload, but it said I needed to create a Commons account. When I tried to create one, it notified me that my IP was banned. Awkward...I feel like I'm about to give up。
"Editing and uploading from 184.104.0.0/16 was disabled by Achim55 for the following reason: Open proxy (more info): colocationwebhost This block (ID #471249) is set to expire: 16:52, 22 December 2024. "
Doing this is not for any reward; it's just a personal hobby. Best wishes. Collin2022 (talk) 06:00, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Collin2022: I've asked a few other editors to try and understand what might be going on here, and they said that you must have accidentally done something wrong, because it shouldn't have directed you to Commons, as this is non free content. Make sure you scroll down on that image I linked, it should say: Below is the main upload form. For a simpler interface and more specific instructions, use Wikipedia:Upload. Do not use the simpler interface option. You also don't want to click a blue button that takes you to Commons somewhere? Hopefully that helps. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 15:30, 22 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
