Hi there! That's great thank you. I'm slowly learning all the querks of Wikipedia... Cisca85 (talk) 01:07, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
- Seconding the congratulations. Welcome to Wikipedia, and welcome to Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red - the more science-y types we have, the merrier, as far as I'm concerned. Hi there! Thank you for the kind words and for all the edits and improvements that you make. Cisca85 (talk) 09:07, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
- Any time - always happy to be of help. Categorizing articles is a bit of an arcane science, and anything I can do to help ease the process along I'm happy to do. Keep up the good work, and happy editing! --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 17:56, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
An article you recently created, EntoSci, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Rebecca Kilner. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Rebecca Kilner), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. [edit]Hello, Cisca85
Thank you for creating Joanne Hamilton (parasitologist).
User:Lopifalko, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
To my reading, the subject is notable as far as Wikipedia is concerned because they are "a fellow of a major scholarly society which reserves fellow status as a highly selective honor" (WP:NPROF). However the article lacks independent reliable sources with significant coverage of the subject, and relies too much on primary sources.
To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Lopifalko}}

Ways to improve Alison Hester
[edit]Hello, Cisca85,
Thank you for creating Alison Hester.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
It's unclear what makes this person a clearly "notable" academic: has she held awards? Done work that is widely respected in her field? etc
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Sadads}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~

[edit]Hi Cisca85! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 10:19, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Kj cheetham, thank you for explaining this, I guess the removal of an orphan notice is definitely not a minor edit. I'll have a look a the Help:Minor edit. 10:43, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, you can probably get away with counting removing the notice as minor, but adding references technically aren't minor. Keep up the good work though. -Kj cheetham (talk) 10:48, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of The Boathouse Putney
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Boathouse Putney requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. –Novem Linguae (talk) 23:29, 13 April 2021 (UTC)

The article The Quill, Putney has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not enough in-depth coverage to pass WP:GNG or WP:CORPDEPTH.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Onel5969 TT me 02:50, 25 May 2021 (UTC)
